Humble Abode to Share. - It's near the tram line which will bring you to Airport West, Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne Uni and the city! Near train station as well.
- It has a beautiful view as this apartment is located on Travancore Park. It's a quiet place. :D
- Fully furnished, all bills ( Gas, electricity, water and ADSL ) are included ( except telephone bills ).
About me:
My name's Michelle. :) I love to cook and have a thing for classical and jazz music, books and art house films. I am tidy and neat ( I am not saying this to impress but I am not a clean freak either ) and not your average 20 year old. I am currently doing my first year in Melbourne University, majoring in psychology and perhaps history ( Still a bit vague on that one ). I am not a party animal and I do not drink ( but it's alright if you do and I use alcohol for cooking purposes only - chocolate and sherry muffins are lovely ). I'm pretty mature for a 20 year old.
I am from Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur to be exact so if you've huge fan of Malaysian food, it's a plus. I am Chinese so it's even better if you like Chinese food but of course, I cook all sorts of things.
My sister and I live share this apartment but we have a medium sized spare room that is fully furnished, waiting to be occupied. My sister is pretty similar to me. She is doing music in Melbourne University.
About the place:
The room is fully furnished. You get to use the kitchen utensils. Seriously, we got too much of utensils and kitchen appliances so you don't need to get anything. However, we do not have a toaster or a food processor. The rest is all covered. Basically, you move in with your personal effects and bedding. There's a space heater as well and a stand fan is provided.
Bills are all included except telephone bills. Since the bill is itemized, you'll be charged accordingly. Rent is not negotiable. The property is fairly new and nothing in the room is second hand. You get your own bathroom but it is not an en-suite one. As you can see from the picture, nobody uses it. It is waiting to be used.
Location:
Location wise, it's quite strategic. If you're a university student heading to Melbourne University, it'll probably take 15 minutes ( Peak hours ) and 5 minutes ( Non-peak hours ) by tram. If you choose to walk to uni, that would be 30 minutes. It takes 15 minutes ( Peak hours ) and 8 minutes ( non peak hours ) to go to the city. Good for you if you're an RMIT student. It's fairly near a train station ( Flemington Bridge Station ) and it's strategically located between Melbourne Central and Moonee Ponds Central. There's a bus station not far from where I live ( At Stop 33, I live right in front of Stop 24 - Tram Stop ). There's one huge Safeway, Coles and KMart at stop 33 so everything is within reach. If you're a fan of markets, Victoria market is just right at the city.
What I am looking for:
I am looking for someone who can respect other people's culture and private space. I believe in sharing and of course, like any flat mate, I am looking for someone tidy, clean and responsible as well. I do love a good chat and I think flat mates can become friends although it may be awkward during the first few weeks.
If you're interested:
Email me at micheniche@Hotmail.com if you feel that you are the right flatmate. This home welcome you with open hands.
Apparently, the map given by the website is INCORRECT. You can look up for the apartment "Travancore on The Park" and you will realise that it's ON Delhi's Reserve, near Flemington Bridge Station and also tram stop 23 and 24 of Line 59- Airport West.
