Preferred stay length
My name is Reece. I'm a student currently studying business (diploma level) as part of a scholarship with the Australian Cricket College, which I moved here to attend last year from the Gold Coast. I work casually as a cricket coach and I'm seeking further employment as well. I've been living with relatives but the time has come for me to move on!
Who am I? I'm a laid back and easy going cricket nerd. Sport and especially cricket dominates my life, but I'm also a bit of a geek. I love old computer games and love a bit of Game of Thrones (no season 6 spoilers, please!). I prefer to spend most of my nights in. I'm really not a party animal, and don't really drink other than the odd beer or red. I like a bit of time to myself, spending a lot of time on my laptop, but would love to make friends out of my new house mates since I still don't know too many people down here. I'm more than happy to spend an hour or two chatting or just generally hanging out at the end of a day, and I'd be keen to share the odd TV show or movie too. I think I'd be pretty flexible depending on what you're looking for.
I see myself as kind, honest and just generally friendly. I'm respectful of privacy, personal spaces and relationships. I want to live with people who are similar - tidy and a bit docile. I can cook half a dozen different things and would be open to sharing a cooking load - if not, I'm all good to take care of myself. I'm clean, and I'm not at all afraid of scrubbing a pot, or a toilet. So far I've only ever lived with family/relatives so I would feel most comfortable with people who have a bit of share house experience and who can tolerate my ignorance on some things (it's pretty straightforward though, right?).
I have a very wide search area encompassing most of Melbourne's east and inner east. I'm somewhat limited in terms of budget while I search for part-time or casual work to supplement what I earn and receive currently. So, if you know someone looking for a fantastic new employee with experience in many different areas including administration, retail and even labouring, let me know! :P I'm looking to get set up in Melbourne indefinitely. I love almost everything about it here (not quite Gold Coast weather but oh well).
I feel like I'm waffling on a bit here so I'll leave it at that. I'd love to hear from you if you think I might be a good fit for your household, and organise a meeting. Any questions? Just ask. I will be housesitting from late June until late July so I'll be looking for somewhere immediately after that. I would like somewhere long term so I can settle in down here. I don't need a lot of space, but a room with a bed and a little bit of storage would be great. I also have a decent TV, if you're looking for one! :P I am currently single, don't smoke, and have no pets (but I'm fine with them).
Thanks for reading!
