My high school testimonial described me as a gregarious boy with 'reasonably' good eye/hand co-ordination. I was so chuffed that my teacher had noticed my artful french cuts on the cricket pitch that I never enquired into the meaning of gregarious. It recently came up as 'word of the day' on dictonary.com and I was delighted to find out that it meant: "fond of the company of others; sociable". I have long since hung up my cricket whites but remain gregarious. That said, I'm hardly a socialite!
To earn a crust, I work as cameraman/editor, everything from news to music videos (but in my fantasy world I'm an international secret agent or an inventor of exceptionally useful things). For work, I'm often away filming - usually 2-3 weeks at a time, but when I'm back in town I usually edit from home.
I'm more interested in people's attitudes and sentiments than their occupations, ethnicities, sexual preferences etc. Attitudes and sentiments that resonate well with me are kindness, humour, and honesty.
In terms of communal living... I certainly don't like living in a pig sty. But equally I'm not going to go mental if someone leaves a dirty teaspoon in the sink.
Politics: I tend to get along with lefties, but love a good spar with a right winger.
