Heya! I’m Shenei. (She/ her, queer)
I moved to Australia from New Zealand in 2023 to work as a disability support worker before moving to Sydney in 2024. Since then I’ve worked full time for an arts organisation as an executive admin going on 3 years, which sees me in the office most days with the occasional WFH day.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time crafting, sitting in nature, listening to music, or chill walks with friends. I am very creative and will often hobby hop weekly. I can be pretty handy, so a bonus if you need any decor or furnature redone - I love a DIY project!
I'm always down for a music jam, if youre musical. And I make a mean curry and will happily cook on the occasion for the household!

Housing experience -
I have sharehouse experience (with references). I am clean and tidy and ultra respectful of shared spaces. I am very happy with a cleaning roster if established - or just to chip in as needed. As for furniture, I come with all my own bedroom furniture.

My ideal housemates/ home vibe -
I enjoy a household that feels like a home - we can enjoy a chit chat in the evenings after work, watch the occasional show/ movie together and enjoy a shared meal but also respect each other’s time, space and needs. I am not a late owl, and not a partier - though I do love a boogie in the kitchen or out with the right people. I enjoy feeling safe to be myself at home, and love when others feel safe to be the same around me. Im accepting of all - SW, Neurodivergent folk, All LGBTQIA+ identities. As long as you are a good human, thats all that matters to me.

Locations -
My key criteria for location are based on 2 things - nature and public transport. I enjoy getting out of the city after work days and feeling like I'm no longer surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Sydney. I am a lover of nature, so nearby bush walks or atleast leafy streets and parks is a must. Though im sure in most cases, this will lead me further away from public transport, my hope is to have access to transport in and out of work near in the CBD (im happy with the commute being around an hour)
