Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve and is a short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses.
We have a warm and friendly homey home. We have interests in art, environment, politics, movement, self-development and cultural exchange etc. We tend not to watch much tv and would probably not be suitable for someone who is a large watcher. We value direct and thoughtful communication with each other and would expect that from people staying. We also value everyone contributing to keeping things around the house functional and the communal spaces clean and tidy :)
The room is cosy and quite central to the main part of the house. It currently has a double bed in it, built in robe, shelf and small desk. It's quite a sweet room which has been loved by all it's inhabitants however is best suited to someone who is a solid sleeper as sound-proofing in the room isn't great.
UPDATE Please note: The owners will be reclaiming the house and the lease will end in FEB. SUITABLE FOR SHORT-TERM only.
Sophie and Freya are lifelong Canberrans. Sophie is doing studies in English/Indigenous Studies, Amie (30's) works in community arts and peer-counseling. Freya is currently working at a nursery. We like connecting over the washing up and getting to know about each other's lives :) Sophie and Amie are known to engage in excitable political rant fests on occasion, and there is also much fermentation of food goods to be had (head's up!).
