If you're a mature employed professional aged over 40 who wants to share a lovely, quality furnished quiet home in a great location with one other, read on - but MUST be full time 9-5 off-site employed (e.g. not from home). This sunny top floor apartment (3rd floor, no lift) has great views and is reasonably spacious with a separate kitchen (with table chairs); living room; great shower/bathroom with separate toilet. The bedroom is medium sized with BIRs and fits a double bed and small desk. It is currently furnished with a comfortable 6 month old (barely used) double bed, a small desk and chair. You'll need your own linen (pillows, doona, sheets, towels, etc). Other than that, everything you need is here. The location is brilliant - just a 5 minute walk to Fitzroy street, trams and lightrail which get you into the CBD in 15-20 minutes. Walk to Albert Park Lake, Acland Street, beach in less than 10 min. Bills not included in rent - internet, gas, electricity, water to be shared. Rent is $230/week. Non-smoker. No couples. Current ID and references required. AVAILABLE NOW, BUT PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME UNLESS YOU ARE OVER 40 and FT EMPLOYED M-F 9-5. It is not suitable for shift workers.
I am a writer/filmmaker currently trying to finish a documentary project. I have a back injury and often work from home where I have a stand-up desk. Sometimes I do contract work 8-6 in the city. I keep my home-office hours to 8am-6pm when possible. I like art house films, documentaries, music related films, Black Mirror, GOT... pretty wide taste. I love books too. I am a huge music fan with diverse tastes but love jazz/soul/funk in particular. Pretty much a creative type, but hard-working and ethical. I am very clean and appreciate a flatmate who cleans up after themselves and contributes to keeping the place clean. I am pretty quiet during the week and can get busy and focussed with deadlines, but enjoy being social on the weekends. St KIlda is a wonderful place to live with so many places to go out within walking distance. Love food and good wine, travel when possible. I have friends and family in the country so will often go out visiting on weekends. The flat is very quiet and noise consideration to neighbours is important.
