Hidden gem just off Riding Rd, Hawthorne with a laid back housemate and rad cat!
I'm looking for a new housemate/s to sign either a 6 or 12 month lease. Current lease ends 8 December but flexible to move in 24 November.. Open to sharing with a couple ($360) or one other person ($275).
The townhouse is very modern and is fully furnished (except the room available). Very happy to mix things up as I love changing things around, decorating and want it to feel like your home too. I've been living here for over 2 years now and absolutely love it!
I recommend the room at the back of the townhouse as its closer to the bathroom and quieter. The room is very large with high ceilings, mirrored built-in wardrobe with drawers in centre, ceiling fan and HUGE bathroom. My current housemate sleeps in this room. The other room is at the front of the townhouse which is currently a study/spare room for guests but open to other ideas for the room. The room is slightly smaller (but still quite large) with high ceilings and traditional Queenslander windows, mirrored built-in wardrobe with drawers in centre, ceiling fan, HUGE bathroom. This room also has shared access to the front balcony from the main room (where I sleep).
2 car parks available - 1 secure car park in garage and another at back of townhouse. It's the front townhouse (renovated Queenslander so more like a house then townhouse) in a complex of four, it has 3 bedrooms with high ceilings.
Downstairs area has air con, toilet, laundry, storage space under the stairs, door to garage, opened planned kitchen, lounge area and dining area with security off sliding door that leads into front courtyard and garden.
Close to public transport (Morningside train station, bus services on Riding, Thynne and Wynnum Rds and a 10-15 min walk to the Hawthorne City Cat terminal), close to Oxford St, Bulimba and heaps of other shops and shopping centres, cafe and restaurant central and a short drive to the city. Its a safe area also so you don't need to worry too much if commuting at night time.
I'm a Project Officer working full-time in the CBD - some weeks I work long days and other weeks are standard 40 hours.
Laid-back, clean, friendly and respectful. I need my quiet time but can co-exist in the household while enjoying some down-time. I'm an introvert but not quiet - just need some zen time to recharge. I have a TV in my room which is my retreat when I need some space.
I have a cat called Leo, he is outside/inside during the day and inside at night, he's 5 and half years old and very handsome. He's a character, very much part of the household.
I love travelling, eating out/eating in, going to the movies, cooking on week-ends and essential oils (so the house smells lovely but considerate if you have allergies).
Contact me if you are a considerate, reliable, friendly and clean & tidy person :)
