Ideal for a mature international visitor, academic, or female student who needs a comfortable, peaceful home away from home. Quiet. Peaceful. Loads of trees, birds and garden spaces. NOT suitable if you're allergic to cats.
Fully furnished very comfy room with trees outside the window. Your own furniture is not necessary, unless you wish to add a desk. Otherwise, everything you'll need is here, even bedding and linen.
The house is light, open, clean and comfortable. Unlimited broadband included.
My 22-year-old daughter lives in the garden cabin, works part time and goes to RMIT. We have two small dogs, two cats and two chickens.
I work largely from home, interspersed by the occasional city contract. It's a 15-minute walk to the well-staffed 'premium' train station. About 35 minutes to the CBD and lots of peak-hour express services.
Main Street Greensborough (bus, walk or drive) has restaurants, shops, a bus hub for multiple routes, the three-level Greensborough Shopping Plaza, and the big new WaterMarc swimming and exercise complex. The Plaza has everything including supermarkets (Coles, Aldi), Target and Kmart, specialist shops and food courts with lots of undercover parking.
I'm pretty self-contained, worldly, non-sporty, interested in politics and current affairs. I live quietly; don't have lots of visitors; enjoy music; read heaps; listen to lots of ABC Radio National and watch some telly.
You are welcome to cook as often as you like and make use of the well-stocked kitchen. The outside laundry has an excellent washing machine and dryer. Some storage is available.
