Hi. If you are OK with just using ethernet (cords, no wifi), then read further: Our rental house is a 4 minute drive to The Towers in Castle Hill but also quiet, with a back yard and deck where you can enjoy some afternoon sun. The room has a walk-in wardrobe. It would suit a student who wants a quiet environment for their home life. I am in the mature age bracket and work in education. We go to bed early and don't 'party' (except we have friends for dinner and conversation occasionally). We are friendly, happy and welcoming though! But we spend time in our rooms a lot (some people find that unfriendly). The house is not new, it's old, but is OK enough. You can use the single lock up garage if you have a car, or there is a carport. The room is furnished, or you can use your own things. Internet is included but I prefer to split the bills (electricity & water). Some people, I have discovered, have a heater on all night, every night (which isn't fair to me if I pay for all the electricity). I am honest with money and fair in my dealings and hope you would be too. There are already 2 of us here (me & my son, 13 yrs old, sensible, fair & friendly) so we need a third flatmate. We only use ethernet cords for the internet and put devices, mobile phones, in airplane/flight mode a lot (& I'd prefer you do that too). I prefer to try to minimise radio frequency (RF) rather than have constant wifi exposures. I follow research such as magdahavas dot com, Dariusz Leszczynski etc. Leszczynski's blog has info re ABC's removal of the Catalyst 'Wi-Fried' programme. The regulator of the mobile phone industry in Australia is the Australian Communications & Media Authority (ACMA) and the ACMA is also the regulatory authority of the ABC. This is a conflict of interest. Especially at night I need a flatmate to have their mobile off or in flight mode as I struggle with insomnia. Scientists advise that RF exposure can affect sleep. I have an iPhone but mainly have it in flight mode and check for messages when needed. There is an ethernet cord for the third flatmate to use. If you have an iPhone I have instructions on how to use an iPad or iPhone connected to a computer via cable (so you can use our Internet provider not your data). Netflix is included in the rent. Our third flatmate has just found a place nearer to her job in the city.
