The House
This is a beautiful, architecturally designed home with floor to ceiling north-facing windows capturing maximum sunlight and warmth throughout the bitter Canberran winter.

Joanne and I were lucky enough to secure this place and a move-in date around the time that our current lease ends, so we and 2 new housemates will be moving in for the first time on the 27th of June!

The house has a general 'green' focus, with predominantly passive heating (the windows are all double glazed) and solar hot water, so utility bills will be minimal, and your environmental conscience will be clear.

The living areas look out onto a beautiful big backyard, with plenty of room for BBQ's and to lie outside in the sun. The backyard is also complete with a chicken coop which we definitely intend to make good use of, because nothing poaches better than an egg straight from the chicken.

Other key features of this home include:
- Ample, and multiple living areas;
- Designer kitchen (inc. dishwasher)
- Spacious bathroom including a bath
- Inslab heating
- Double glazing
- Solar Hot water
- Ducted vacuum system

The Rooms
This is a 5 bedroom house, with the master upstairs, and a further four bedrooms downstairs.

At the moment, we're wanting to use three of the four downstairs bedrooms, leaving one free to use as a study, or as a spare room when friends come to visit.

All rooms are at least 3m x 4m, all have built in robes, and three of the four face north, out onto the backyard.

The three rooms downstairs will share a bathroom, and there is an additional 'powder room' downstairs near the entry.

More about the Flatmates

There are two of us - Joanne and Jonno (both in our 30’s and not a couple) - and we are looking for two new housemates to move into this incredible place with us on 27 June.

We are both friendly and cheery and we are looking for similar people to make a nice home.

We're both public servants… but despite this, we both lead pretty active lifestyles, with sports, gym and socialising, and tend to be out of the house quite a bit.

That said, we also enjoy sharing a meal or a few drinks at home, so prefer a place that feels like a home with good friends, as well as good housemates.

We’re both partial to a bit of iView or a movie night, and are still finding decent things to watch on Netflix.

Around the house, we’re pretty easy going, but also quite neat and tidy. We don't really run from a 'cleaning roster', but like to think that we will all be capable of cleaning up after ourselves and pitching in generally around the house and the garden.

The perfect housemate for us would be someone who is sociable, friendly and caring, who likes the outdoors and activities, can hold a conversation and has a variety of interests, who can nerd out occasionally and yell at the telly during QandA or join in a drinking game during the Federal Budget, likes the occasional dinner party, and is partial to a glass or 4 of wine on a random night, and a good laugh.

Cheers
