Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve. Short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses.
The house is spacious, sunny and colourful with a delightful verandah. We have lots of herbs and a little fledgling vege garden with aspirations for chickens.
The room has lovely big windows, built-in wardrobe space and quirky wallpaper ;) The room also has a comfy Queen sized bed and desk.
We have a warm and friendly homey home. We have interests in art, environment, politics, movement, self-development and cultural exchange etc. We tend not to watch much tv and would probably not be suitable for someone who is a large watcher. We value direct and thoughtful communication with each other and would expect that from people staying. We also value everyone contributing to keeping things around the house functional and the communal spaces clean and tidy :)
Fyi the owners are sadly returning to the house sometime next year.
You'll be sharing with Amie, Sophie, Ines and Jens. Amie is in her 30's and works in community arts and peer-counseling. Sophie is a lifelong Canberran and completing a degree in English/Indigenous Studies. Ines and Jens are new to the house and have come from Germany to do post-grad studies in science.
Write to us with a little about yourself if you're interested in sharing our home with us :) Our ad is also on g-u-m-t-r-e-e.
