Hello awesome people!

I've got a room available in a two bedroom flat in awesome Brunswick East. I'm just off Lygon Street and a 20 minute tram ride from the CBD. If you're a working in the city, or attending Uni, it would be perfect. It's a short walk to a number of great B. East fixtures: a Minor Place, B. East, and Poached, to name a few.

The room is unfurnished, but has a fold out couch if needed temporarily; there's also a desk that you'd be welcome to.

The shared area is spacious and bright with a well-equipped kitchen and a killer patio. Once the weather gets nicer, you'll love it.

Flatmates

I'm a Canadian who's been working in Education in Australia for almost three years. I work during the week, and have a few late nights during the week, so you'll have a fair amount of privacy at home.

I'm a big jazz fan, but love classic rock, blues, RnB. Also love old-school rap. A lot of my free time is geared towards swing-dancing (Lindy-hop). When crashing on the couch and watching Netflix, I'm watching Archer, Narcos, or Daredevil.

I'm 36, so my nights of getting seriously drunk on weekdays are definitely over. If you're a grad student or a professional, we'll probably have lifestyles more suited to each other. If you're younger and still in those party-hard day, hey power to you, but it might not work out. That all being said, the occasional beer with my flatmate is awesome. My previous flatmate and I occasionally went to the Spotted Mallard for a pint or two. We also occasionally had Saturday Night dinner parties. I used to be a sous-chef and we've had some fun nights including Mexican food night, Thai, and most recently a German Christamas Market Party.

I'm generally pretty laid-back, but can talk politics, philosophy, science; I can do sports a bit too, but can't contribute much outside of ice-hockey;) I used to live in Germany (Freiburg) and in Korea and can speak a bit of those languages. I'm also trying to learn Swedish on Duolingo and by watching 'the Bridge'.:)

I'm looking for someone who is relatively tidy and who pays the bills on time, and hopefully who is pretty chill as well. If it sounds like we might get along, send me a message, let me know a bit about yourself, and we can set up a viewing!

The rent is $205 a week, which means it is $888 a month. There is also a one month bond. Electricity is usually around $40-50 a month.
