Two Rooms for rent in Ainslie. We have just secured a mansion - a truly amazing Ainslie property. This house is the epitome of luxury student shared accommodation (we did not expect to get it).
There are two large living areas and a formal dining room. We fully intend to regularly make use of the beautiful open fireplace in the front living room. All the living areas face the deck (that has a swing!) that backs onto the high-hedged garden. Did we mention the pool? You will actually enjoy a Canberra summer. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove and double oven plus plenty of storage space. Given the extensive living areas, we would like to make a communal study area at the back where you could also have a desk setup, creating more space in your room for activities.
The master is a spacious, light-filled room with expansive windows to the garden. The room will require furniture. This well-heated room is going for $250 per week. It is the room pictured.
This is a cosier choice and you will need to furnish it yourself. It is at the front of the house near the front bathroom and will be going for $180 per week.
A student who is more or less our age, tidy and willing to contribute to the household upkeep. You must eat meat, consume dairy and drink alcohol. We will spend a lot of time in the common areas and we’d love if you would be happy to join us. If you have any furniture or kitchen stuff you would like to add to the house, you might even be preferenced. We have whitegoods sorted. Males and females are welcome.
About the location:
The property is a 3 minute walk to the Ainslie shops where there is an IGA, Edgar’s Inn (the local), a wanky French cafe etc. The house is literally a 1 minute walk from the bus stop in transit to either Civic or Belconnen (your choice). It’s an easy bike ride to the ANU and Civic and there is a sports field just down the road opposite the Ainslie Football Club.
Our rent includes monthly gardening and pool maintenance.
Bills will be split evenly: unlimited internet, electricity (including pool), gas and water. Rent is payable fortnightly.
Get in touch with us and we will arrange for you to have a look once we get the keys on July 15.
We are three third-year ANU students from around NSW trying to make it in the big smoke. Shaun is a 21 year old Batemans Babe with huge guns and an even bigger personality who becomes a soft teddy when drunk. Will the 22 year old weasel crawled out of his well in country Australia. He likes hunting and taking girls out to shoot boars. Cate is a 22 year old Irish girl from the small town of Lane Cove and uses her multilinguality for both academic and non-academic purposes. She bakes a lot of “good dense cake”.
