Hello there, please have a read to see if this groovy converted warehouse is for you!
This house is in a great location. It is situated in between Glenferrie and Camberwell, and within walking distance to both shopping precincts. There are several great bars and restaurants nearby. It is a seven minute walk to Auburn Station, which makes commuting into the city very convenient!
A modern, converted warehouse with three bedrooms, two bathrooms (each with separate toilets) in a multi-story town house! It has separate lounge and dining areas, with an outdoor courtyard and a new kitchen with a dishwasher. There will be two bedrooms available on the ground floor; both are directly connected to a shared bathroom. You will have your own personal sink space and both rooms have heaps of storage space!
This town-house is one of 17 units, within in the converted warehouse. The complex is very secure and comes with two secure car parks. There is also street permit available. If you have a car, you will be rotating parking spots with two weeks in a car-spot and one week on the street.
The house is fully furnished apart from your new bedroom. The only house items lacking will be a TV, iron and washing machine. There is a double bed frame and a queen mattress available, should you like to have them. If you have extra furniture you need to store, the is some storage space available on the third floor :)
Gas, Water and Electricity are due every three months and are split evenly between housemates. Approx. cost is between $50 to $80 for water and electricity, $30 for gas. Internet is unlimited and is $20 a month.
Rent is due once a month. You will need to sign onto the lease. Our 12 month lease is up at the end of December, and then it will turn into a rolling month-by-month lease. We are looking for two new housemates who will be willing to sign onto a new 12 month lease and stay for the duration of the year.
Please note: Bond is about $1000- so more than 4 weeks rent.
About your housemate:
You will be living with Emily who is 25 and is in her second year of Masters in Educational Psychology. Emily is easy-going, loves a chat with a glass of wine but is also respectful of others privacy. She has a slight obsession with houseplants, and likes to keep the place clean and tidy. As all our neighbours have young families, it is important that the house is quiet during the week. Whilst friends are always welcome over, we are all mindful of each other’s busy schedules, and this is not a party house.
As mentioned we are looking for two lovely people to occupy each vacant ground floor bedroom, sign onto the lease and stay for 12 months. One room is available immediately. For the other room, a time frame for moving-in is to be negotiated with the outgoing housemate ( but will be within the next month).
Working professionals preferred. A full-time or steady stream of employment is required to be approved by the real estate agent. Hopefully you will be fond of house plants, will be happy to pitch in with the cleaning, pay bills on time, and be up for a shared glass of wine and a chat. Non-smokers please, and no pets are allowed (fish or stick insects would probably be okay)
