Located less than 5 minutes walk from QUT Kelvin Grove, this little apartment is cosy, clean, and perfect for students looking for a supportive place to focus on their studies. The Kelvin Grove Urban Village is a 5min walk away, with a gym, Woolworths, and lots of take-out places. Also, every Saturday they have a farmers market which is a great place to buy fresh produce. The bus stop at QUT Kelvin Grove is close by and can take you anywhere in the city.
The room on offer is small but still really nice. It was mine for the past few years, and I loved it :) It has a big window (with a nice view over the golf course) that gets a great breeze, a closet with a decent amount of space, a desk and office chair, a chest of drawers, and a king single bed. The room is FURNISHED.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, fridge, microwave, oven), lounge room (tv, couch, small dining table), and bathroom with a washing machine (clothes lines available - outside and inside). There are two air conditioners, one in the main bedroom (my room) and one in the lounge room which easily chills the whole place down. Great during summer.
It's a 2 bedroom apartment and you will only be sharing with me :)
It is available from the 16th of January.
Base rent is $150 per week.
Bond is $600 (4 weeks rent).
Power and Gas cost approx. an extra $30 per week. Obviously this will change, depending on how often we run the air cons/ use the stove. You will be expected to pay half of each bill as they come in (quarterly).
Internet is unlimited ADSL2+ and costs $30 each per month. This can be knocked down a bit, depending on how much you download/ use the net.
Including utilities the rent works out to about $180 per week.
On-street parking is available after purchase of a residential parking permit from the Brisbane Council, approx. $20
If you'd like to come and see the place please send me a message and we'll organise a time. Hope to hear from you :)
