We are young homeowners (25) looking to rent out a room in our four bedroom, two storey house.
The room is the only bedroom downstairs and has a private bathroom (note: bathroom is currently being renovated). It also adjoins the single garage which is carpet tiled, and is being used by our current tenant as a private lounge room. The decent sized kitchen and main lounge room (with 50 inch smart TV and soundbar) is upstairs. Air-conditioner and fireplace also upstairs. The kitchen has all new appliances less than 2 years old. Also have a new washing machine and dryer downstairs. We also have a large rumpus area downstairs with a bar that is rarely used, an undercover pergola, a large backyard, and a balcony upstairs.
Rent is plus utilities - we have a 5kw solar system so the electricity is cheaper than normal.
We are both full-time workers, and have a one year old miniature dachshund.
The house is located in a quiet street on top of a hill, 2.7km from Mitchelton train station, 400 metres from a bus stop with buses that go to the City and Mitchelton train station and 300 metres from local shops including a corner store, takeaways and a bottle shop.
The person we are looking for must be comfortable with dogs and a non-smoker. Preference is for someone young, or a young couple (price will increase for a couple).
Young couple who own the home, both working full time.
