Wildlife watchers' private room in a simple country bungalow sharehouse on 2 acres of tall forest bushland in Glenwood, a leafy housing estate in the Cooloola Coast hinterland. Red-necked wallabies, king parrots and crested hawks by day and brush-tailed possums and yellow-bellied gliders by night.
Private bushwalk within the grounds; hour’s drive to Great Sandy National Park, Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island through state forest (dirt road). Five minutes to Glenwood shopping centre, quarter of an hour's drive to the nearest small town (Gunalda – post office, pub), half an hour north of Gympie or south of Tiaro, and three-quarters of an hour west of Tin Can Bay. Two hours to Hervey Bay whales.
Small double furnished room with forest views or unfurnished single room, share basic but clean kitchen, bathroom, toilet and laundry (tank water). Non-smoking household. No public transport, so own car needed. Would suit a wildlife lover who likes a peaceful abode set in nature. Discount for light caretaking duties.
Share part time with owner, 60 year old quiet male arts professional who works away some of the time. Could rent cheaper if you would like to do light caretaking duties such as watering, occasional whippersnipping etc.
