Due to some luck and good instincts we can now call ourselves the new tenants of a beautiful home in the heart of Fitzroy. The house is a two story terrace house with three bed rooms upstairs and a kitchen as well as a large living/ dining area downstairs. There is also a nice backyard where we plan to plant some veggies in spring. We will be moving in on the 5th of September and this is where you come in:
We are looking for a male housemate between the age of 25 and 30 who wants to help us build a home, someone who wants to share the good and the bad times rather than just our house ;)
Dear potential new housemate,
We are three friends Kat, Maï and Frank and we are looking for a fourth person to fill the empty chair at our table. Kat is from Germany, currently working in disability care with a passion for medical sciences, Maï and Frank are a couple from Belgium, Frank working in engineering and Mai in fundraising for a not-for-profit in disability support.
Having lived together for a year and greatly enjoyed each other’s company, we recently decided to find ourselves our own new house, closer to the hustle and bustle of Melbourne and more homely than our current share house.
We love our food and cook most nights, often for and with each other, but also enjoy the occasional night out at the restaurant. On the weekend we like a chat over morning coffee, or later in the day over a glass of wine/craft beer or two or three. Every other month Maï and Frank spend many hours brewing their own beer and cider which is then happily consumed by everyone afterwards. If the smell of freshly baked bread is something you like to wake up to in the morning then you should definitely apply: The art of bread baking plays an important role in our household and we are always open to new bread recipes and manufacturing ideas.
Due to all the nice food and drinks we share, we need to compensate with loooots of exercise: You’ll usually be able to tell if we’re home or not by checking if our bikes are around, we’re a sporty bunch who uses racing bikes to get around and stay fit. But we also enjoy a variety of other sports: running (we recently trained for and completed a half marathon together), tennis (Maï and Franc are pros, Kat is still dreaming about hitting the ball ;)), hiking, day trips into the country (just to buy good bread) or anything that gets us moving outdoors.
If we sound like the kind of people you would like to share your food, drink, interesting conversation and outdoor activities with, then you should write us a little about yourself.
We look forward to meeting you,
Kat, Mai and Frank
