The great thing about my apartment is its location with two supermarkets within a few minutes walk (in fact, there is a supermarket directly across the road from the building as well as Leo's Fine Food and Wine Supermarket just a few doors down). There are cafes, resturants, butchers, bakeries, chemists and doctors within 5 minutes walk. Also, it has great transport links with trams - 109 and 48 trams into the city and a tram to St Kilda from Glenferrie Road. There are also buses that will take you into the city via Carlton.
The flat itself has been renovated, fully furnished and it a bright and relaxing space with heating and cooling in the lounge as well as in each bedroom.
There is a small balcony with bbq facilities and in summer, its a lovely place to sit and read.
The room that I am renting is fully furnished with a double bed, bedding (sheets, blankets etc) table and chairs (x2), a big chest of drawers and built in wardrobe, alarm clock, bedside light and bedside table. It's a lovely big room with a big window that looks out onto a tree, so it feels very private.
You have full access to the kitchen - so you don't need to buy any pots, pans, plates etc - its all provided AND I'm happy for you to use the washing machine and dryer (and there are a couple of drying racks and I encourage you to use them as the flat gets lots of sun).
There is also a car space available - if you have a car.
It's a great place for people who are new to Melbourne and looking for a place as a base to settle while they look around the city.
There are a couple of firm rules - I just ask that flatmates clean up after themselves in the kitchen and bathroom and to be abit mindful about the aircon (i.e. turn it off when you aren't home and not run it 24/7).
I'm a fairly relaxed person and I'm respectful of my flatmates space, so I'm okay if people want to talk or spend time in their room. And while you stay - your room is your space and I don't go in unless invited. I'm a neat person, but I wouldn't say that I'm super fussy about things but I like coming home to a clean place.
I work full time and so I don't often go out during the week - I work a long day, so usually just happy to come home, cook and relax by watching some TV. And at the weekends, I sometimes meet friends for breakfast or lunch or do some gardening.
I'm looking for an someone who works and is respectfull of my things and home and easy going.
