We are have a vacant room in our townhouse in Brunswick! We would prefer a couple (to replace our friends moving out) but single people are welcome too.
The house has been a sharehouse for quite a while, and it's in a great location: a quiet street facing Gilpin park, surrounded by public transport (tram lines 55 and 19, Upfield train line - Brunswick Station) and 10 minutes from Sydney Rd.
Our ground floor is great to hangout in after a long day. It has a nice kitchen with a dishwasher and gas stove and large living room. There is a little outside area we use for BBQs, carpentry, drying bushwalking tents and beers during summer.
The first floor has two bedrooms, a washing machine, toilet and bathroom. The bedroom in the top floor could be yours! It's a good size room with a mirrored built-in wardrobe, ensuite bathroom and toilet and a large window (it comes unfurnished). It's perfect for a couple or someone looking for a bit more of privacy.
The couple moving out owns a substantial amount of our furniture, so you get bonus if you'd like to bring your own stuff! In particular, we will need to replace a dining table, a couch , a fridge (to make a total of 2 fridges) and other smaller items.
The rent is $1100/month including bills, which works out to $254/week. We are primarily looking for a couple but if you are a single person happy with this price don't hesitate to send us a message!
We are Caio (27) and Rob (28). After a long time in this sharehouse, our housemates Pip and Beck are moving out. Rob is from South Australia and moved to Melbourne about a year ago to work at the Thunder Road brewery. He loves painting and always has an exciting carpentry project going on. Caio, from Brazil, moved to Melbourne to do his PhD in Unimelb. He nevers says no to a good bushwalking adventure!
We're all into our food and we love a cook-up to share and enjoy with a beer or a glass of wine, but we'll also often just feed ourselves and do our own thing. We all work weekdays and are generally home relaxing at night. We spend a lot of the weekends out and about pursuing our various interests.
We are looking for someone independent, tidy, respectful, and easy going. We really think communication is key for living in a shared house - we'd rather be open and discuss a potential issue right away, before it becomes a problem. Ideally the person who moves in will want to stay for more than six months so that we don't need to go through the whole flatmates.com thing again anytime soon.
If you think all of this sounds good please don't hesitate to send us a message (please don't call) telling us a bit about yourself so that we can arrange a meeting. We look forward to hearing from you :)
