Backpackers welcome

Hey! So basically I'll explain here, in full, what I am advertising. I am leaving to go back home to Switzerland (from November 18th), and looking for someone to replace me in this lovely share house :)

Ideally, we are looking for someone to take over for 1 year and 2 months (November 18th 2017, up until January 21st 2019), but it could be more if everyone decides to renew the lease for another year (which has happened the two previous years).

The room is one of the downstairs rooms in the house (especially good because there is a huge difference in heat and the downstairs is way colder). It is unfurnished apart from a large wardrobe which belongs to the house owners but is available for use. The room is a decent size, has a large door sized window as well as a normal sized window so it gets plenty of light and air if you like those opened and uncovered. White coloured and kept in very good condition. (The room is identical to room in the pictures, just on the other side).

The property is a furnished two-floored share house. The house is very tidy and in great shape and we hope to keep it that way so please only contact me if you are a serious and responsible person deep down. The first floor contains a bathroom (shower/sink/toilet), storage room, big living room, and 2 private bedrooms (One of which is the one I'm advertising). Up the stairs takes you to a dining room, kitchen, bathroom (shower/sink/toilet), as well as another 2 private bedrooms. As well as this, there is a huge balcony on the top floor overlooking all of the suburb with a very nice view of the sun setting over it :)

The house has a bunch of furniture and appliances: Fridges, washing machine, tables, chairs, desks, couches, tv, everything you need basically. Although if you have any furniture you would like to bring and add for your time staying here that is more than fine. We have air conditioning only upstairs in the living room however feel like we can keep the house cool enough naturally as there are a bunch of windows/doors to keep air flowing going as well as ceiling fan in the dining room. However sometimes when it is too hot to handle we turn it on.

In terms of location: The house is on Munro Street, Auchenflower. A very friendly and family-surrounding suburb that is very pretty. It is better to own/drive a car if you want to live here as the train station is a 10-15 minute walk and there is a parking space/street parking provided. Although the Auchenflower train station is only 2 stops away from the Brisbane city and 1 stop away from Toowong shopping centre which provides all of your needs (groceries and all that jazz). Also there is a 471 bus right above the house which takes you right into the city however the times are not as good as the trains.

Love living here with the room-mates. We all know each other from meeting at university and decided to move in together because we got along so well. Super relaxed and fun people however still have to be responsible and like everything to be organised and tidy.

In summary the key points are that the room/house is perfect for someone clean, tidy, responsible but also willing to have a bit of fun and hang out with nice people every now and then. If you like to be alone that is totally respectable as well, as long as you are reachable and respectful in terms of house conditions there will be no problem. Auchenflower is an awesome suburb to live in as it especially close to everything (city, river, shopping centers, universities). A car is probably your best bet at transport, although I do not have one and get around fine walking (good exercise)!

It is important for us to be able to contact you when needed, and for you to be a secure tenant. We are looking forward to meeting you and hopefully we can make it a great experience for all of us! Don't want to put too many photos up for security reasons but I'll be sure to send more if you ask personally or even better let you come over and see the place a couple times!

Flatmates

Hey! So here I'll dive a little bit into who us, the residents, are. I (Ryan) am a Swiss/Australian male and am 22 years of age. I am currently studying full time at University of Queensland whilst working as a bartender for a venue in North Brisbane. However I am the one offering my room so sadly we won't have the chance of living with each other. The other three flatmates (who you will be living with!) are Callum, Mina, and Jin. Callum is Australian but originally from Hong Kong and he studies an Arts degree/works at RSPCA. Mina is a dedicated medicine student from Bundaberg who also has Egyptian background. Jin is a responsible, full time Nurse who has already graduated from QUT. As you can tell we're all really close, internationally diverse and outgoing mates who love to hang out when we have free time and have a good chat.

We are looking for someone responsible, trust-worthy, clean, humble, relaxed and calm to share the house with for the 2 month period I am away, or potentially another year after that (Feel free to message me about this concept if you are unclear). If you are into throwing parties very often, chain smoking, being messy the place is not at all for you. This is for someone who wants to enjoy a stay in a nice tidy household and look after it whilst relaxing in beautiful Brisbane. I am sorry if I come off rude wanting these exact propositions, however our names are on the line in the lease and we can't afford any negative externalities as we have had bad experiences in the past (we are trying hard to not make the same mistake as we previously have). We like to be organised but if you are the right person for this place everything will go by super smoothly. If you respect us and the house, we will respect you and everything will go along great I promise :)

Looking forward to hearing from you soon, would love to catch up on a coffee or something to get to know each other and show you the place!
