I am (sad to be) moving out to pursue and frolic in greener pastures, so I’m looking for someone to replace me. You must be able to move in on Friday 4 May 2018, however this could be negotiated for one week earlier than that. You must also be willing to be on the lease (six months initially, then month-to-month thereafter).
The apartment is three-bedroom and one-bathroom, and located in the quiet, leafy suburb of Woolwich. The bedroom itself is huge, with built-in wardrobes that offer plenty of storage space. The entire place gets a lot of natural light during the day.
Rent is just $247 per person per week, paid fortnightly and excluding bills. Electricity is split equally three ways every quarter. Internet is $30 per person per month for super-fast NBN with unlimited downloads. There’s no need to pay for water.
There is off-street parking available downstairs. Public transport is easy – the bus stop is just a few minutes' walk away up the road. The 505 runs from Woolwich to the city (Wynyard) and return, and the 538 runs from Woolwich to Gladesville and return. The ferry wharf is also very close by (only 7 minutes' walk) and will take you to Circular Quay.
The apartment is located above a Vietnamese restaurant (yum!), and is only a two-minute walk from the Woolwich Pier Hotel (drinks for all!). The balcony offers stunning water views (as you can see from the first picture), and you can see the Sydney Harbour Bridge clearly from the living room window.
Woolwich is a lovely suburb right on the water, between Hunters Hill, Lane Cove, Birchgrove, and Drummoyne. It’s only 10km from the city by car, and only 20 minutes from the city by ferry. One of the best things about Woolwich is that people don’t tend to know where it is, so it’s super quiet and chill around here. I like to think of it as not feeling as though you live in the busy rat race of Sydney, even though you're only a few kilometres from the city!
Note 1: Smoking is permitted outside only.
Note 2: Pets are not permitted.
Dill: 26 years old, works long hours in hospitality, and is an aspiring actor. He’s generally out of the house for work 10:30am to midnight, five to six days a week. He enjoys wine, wine, and wine.
Adam: 31 years old, works usual business hours as a graphic designer. He keeps to himself a lot at home, and has a wacky sense of humour that he’s not afraid to show. He enjoys The Simpsons references, photography, and travelling.
Ideally, the new housemate is someone who's down-to-earth, easy-going with a good sense of humour, and preferably has a full-time job. Bonus points if you love wine and enjoy water views. No hardcore party people and no drugs, please. At the end of the day, you must be able to pay rent and bills on time – it makes life so much easier for everyone.
