Spacious and modern 3 bedroom penthouse in Sydney's city centre. I love the apartment - it's completely unexpected in the middle of the city. It has a warehouse feel to it with wooden beams and a huge skylight. It's set over 2 floors with our very own rooftop terrace that looks onto the QVB and up to Centrepoint Tower. It feels much more like a home than just a city apartment. It's fabulous for entertaining.
Downstairs is a huge, open space area with the kitchen - granite-topped counters, sitting and dining room all in one. There's a guest bathroom downstairs. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a huge study/spare bedroom to share. The apartment has a storage room that spans the entire width of the place. Then upstairs again is our private roof top terrace.
Glass everywhere means there's lots of natural light.
Despite being in the heart of the city, there's a laneway behind us and we don't look onto the main road so it's quiet.
You'll be sharing the apartment with Chris and Paul. We’re both professionals, and are pretty social and pretty active. We're respectful of people's privacy, and keep the house tidy.
We’re looking for a new housemate, as our current housemate has to return home to the UK. She assures us she will miss us dearly.
We're after someone who enjoys banter, the odd cook-up, random trivia, beverages, beats, and generally getting out and about.
Ideally, we'd prefer a female to keep some balance in the house, but we’d be happy to consider anyone.
Chris is an ex-lawyer from Melbourne, who’s moved into a tech role. He has recently bought a season pass to the Sydney Theatre Company to finally be as cultured as he's always pretended he is. He loves watering the rosemary plant, which has sprung to life over the last couple of weeks.
Paul is an engineer from North Queensland via Perth and heads out to Parramatta most days. He keeps pretty active playing ultimate frisbee, oztag and basketball and spinning tunes and checking out gigs. He also has a guitar which probably has more ornamental value that he'd care to admit as with his Giant XTC, SCUBA diving and snowboarding gear.
Double bonus points if you:
> have a projector or SNES/N64;
> drink Hendrick's;
> are good with indoor plants;
> are a fan of Soul of Sydney; or
> listen to the FireUp! on FBI.
