This modern apartment is a convenient 5-10 minute walk to public transport (St Leonards Station, buses) and still quiet! Food options and supermarkets in Crows Nest are an easily walkable option, but the kitchen is also reasonably sized and equipped with a gas stove and stainless appliances. The bathroom is uncramped, with a very spacious shower and a bathtub also. I love the tonnes of natural light it gets with high ceilings in the living room, and sunrises from the shared rooftop terrace are a bonus! Ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning and a spacious storage cage in the garage round out a very convenient and liveable apartment.
I'm a friendly PhD student (engineering/medical background) who enjoys a chat, but I also understand the need for space. My life is busy and I love it that way. It's a combination of PhDing, surfing, attempting to get back to running (big injury this year), and generally getting out and about. And I'm happiest when I'm outside and my days start early. I'll be honest, I've been a messy person in the past, but I'm in the process of being intensively housetrained by my girlfriend (who is unfortunately allergic to cats). She often stays over on weekends, but otherwise I don't have friends over much and keep home as a place to chill out.
If you're an open-minded and respectful person who loves an active outdoor life, we'll get on well! A love of music and/or playing some sort of music definitely gets an extra tick, and I get a kick out of meeting new people and learning about their backgrounds and languages.
I would prefer a clean flatmate, since that forces me to be clean! On that note, I can really appreciate a person who can raise issues and talk them before they become a real problem so we can keep things on an even keel and have fun.
Drop a line if you think this sounds like you, and I'll show you this little apartment I love so much!
