As I am aware overseas over the Christmas period, there is the chance to sub-rent my room at the Canberra Student Housing Co-Operative for 3 months (preferably). Move in date and move out dates are tentatively: 14th November -12th February, but they are flexible!
Room is completely furnished with desk, bed, sink, cupboard space. Shared bathrooms, toilets and kitchen spaces. The rent also covers utilities, internet and groceries from a local organic supermarket once a week. Kitchen is well equipped with a generous communal offering of food, spices and condiments. :)
I live at the Canberra Student Housing Co-Operative, so this is a *very* communal type of living style.
You will be sharing the flat with 6 other students, all of whom are students at ANU. There is a Masters student (Archaeology) and the rest are undergraduate students majoring in subjects such as French, psychology, music philosophy, anthropology, astronomy and physics. We have a very well organised cleaning schedule, so we would prefer someone who always likes liking in a clean and well-kept space. We like drinking tea and eating food...lots of food. :)
There are 29 students in total in the Co-Op, so you will definitely get to know not only the unit, but also the rest of the students. We are all open-minded, easy-going students who do a lot of activities together, including cooking and eating, drinking, partying, studying, going out for activities etc. If you are looking for a more low-key but exciting student kind of experience, this is definitely the place for you!
We love the environment, recycling, animals and learning from another and dislike racism, homophobia and transphobia and sexism.
I look forward to hearing from you! :)
