The property is a newly renovated freestanding 3 bedroom converted shop/warehouse in a quiet part of Newtown about 3 minutes walk to south King Street and 9 minutes walk from both Newtown and St Peters train stations.
The house has 2 new bathrooms (both with showers and one with a bath), lots of natural light, two huge living/entertaining areas and a big leafy courtyard. All furniture in common areas is provided – lounges, TV, coffee tables etc. Appliances also provided as well: fridge and washing machine.
Room available immediately!
The bedroom which is available is on the top floor of the house (2nd floor) and is 3.7 x 4.6m. It is an attic bedroom with a pitched/slanted roof. There are two skylight hatches which open. There is a hanging rail for your clothes, but there is no built-in wardrobe. It can get very hot up there so you will need something to cool yourself down (fan, portable air conditioning unit etc). That bedroom is also $360 per week for a single. Sorry, no couples.
In addition to the weekly rent, you will also need to pay for wireless internet ($20 per month for unlimited usage) as well as power, gas and water. I don't currently have a cleaner, but if we decide as a group that we need one we can sort that out. Bond is 4 weeks' rent.
You’ll be living with me. I own the property and will be living in the master bedroom on the first floor.
I'm 31 years old, a criminal defence lawyer working full time in the CBD. I am super active and love being outdoors but am also a homebody sometimes. I like to cook and have people over for dinner, drinks etc. I like exercising, especially running and yoga, and I love reading, listening to podcasts and taking afternoon naps!
I recently found a flatmate for the other bedroom. Her name is Alice. She is in her mid 20s, from country NSW, and has moved to Sydney to work as a graphic designer. We both work 9-5ish from Monday to Friday. We would prefer a flatmate with a similar timetable.
I am looking for a flatmate who is friendly and sociable; someone who is interested in connecting and building good vibes for our household. We all need time to ourselves sometimes, but I don't want someone who is always in their bedroom when they're home.
I am looking for someone who is kind, considerate, intelligent and relatively outgoing. I appreciate diversity and difference, so it would be nice to have someone with a different set of life experiences and background than me.
MUST LOVE DOGS! I have a 10 year old English Staffy, Nugget. He's very friendly and affectionate, and he's house trained.
