I'm new to Brisbane, bought a place and need a housemate to share expenses. It's a big townhouse, three bedroom, two bathroom, three toilet, one downstairs for guests, I assume.
It's got a small courtyard that I plan to renovate, and maybe paint interior of house (not urgent). It's convenient for location, near regular buses, 130 (city via busway)and 130N (late night bus) seems to be a quiet set of townhouses.
Shared pool onsite, has unlimited internet data at 25/5 speed, additional $10 a week. Air conditioning downstairs, ceiling fans upstairs.
Single lock up garage, but other on street car parks are available. Townhouse is two storey, about 10 years old. Seems well designed, should be able to live alongside each other without complaint. I'll have an ensuite, you'll have main bathroom (including bath) and toilet. Third bedroom will be empty for guests, or possible third housemate, with double bed, and storage space. Your room includes built in robe, double bed with mattress and bedside tables and chest or drawers.
Walking distance to Big W, Kmart, Coles, Woolworths, doctors, dentists. Also a nightclub, at the Calamvale Hotel. Close to three gyms.
I'm 33, gay male, full time employed, M-F. Usually leave home at 7am, back in late arvo, then gym. I work at Stones Corner.
I gym pretty regularly, take my training and diet seriously. Not that I mind indulging either. I'm a fairly competent home cook and baker, but generally stick to routine foods for myself.
Mutual respect is obviously key, and communicating properly. If it doesn't work out, bond is refunded and everything is done respectfully. I will respect your rights as a tenant, if you follow the terms of the lease.
I am currently signed up as a foster carer for cats, so may have visiting cats, kittens on a regular basis. If you have an aversion to animals, this place may not be for you. If you have your own pet, they may be able to be accommodated.
