About the property

The house is quite large with 5 bedrooms, a large lounge/kitchen area, furnished with an assortment of chairs, couches and a Thai day bed. There is a backyard porch with a modest backyard with a compost corner, a little thriving veggie patch (tomatoes, spinach, zucchinis and potatoes just planted) and hills hoist, occasionally it sees some backyard cricket as well. There is also a lovely front porch which captures the daily sun while also being amply hidden from the street. It also houses two toilets with one having a double shower. There is off street parking on a relatively busy side street. We also have a cool little cafe across the road if you fancy brunch or a quiet cuppa, I've even managed to get them to give me food and eaten it on the front porch before returning the plate :)

The house is located within a 5-8 min walk of both the Sandy Bay shopping centers and University and a brisk 20min walk away from Salamanca/town. Which makes the location amazing and leaves us less reliant on cars.

About the flatmates

There are 3 guys and 1 girl, ranging from early 20's to just past 30, with a lady being our departing resident, thus we'd like to get another one to fill the void and keep at least a semblance of balance.

As for us, we're a motley crew, a bike polo enthusiasts, some studiers and workers. At times we hooligans but most often just kitchen chatters over the cooking of a meal or just a chinwag after a long day. Social but not in your face social, we talk about doing more house dinners but never seem to get around to it, but the occasional combining of meals happens and a regular taste test of a fellow housemate's dinner is an almost daily occurrence.

We have a fortnightly cleaning roster with basic chores to keep the house clean and tidy. We share spices and each of us has a shelf in the fridge and freezer.

We aren't partiers but we might have a shindig and get a fire going, I put up black lights for Dark Mofo last year, maybe this year we'll get a fog machine.

Come say hi, be honest and see if you fit in around this neck of the woods. If you're writing to me please check the details on this page, tell me a little bit about yourself (what you enjoy, what you like to cook, favourite tv show and a good joke) and if we like you we'll invite you over to check out the place and maybe move in ... :)
