[Rent reduced by Owner] Your own room in a 2 bedroom house on a quiet street near the city and Darling Harbour!
Hello! After 18 months of shared living, my housemate Ella is leaving to move out with her boyfriend. Hence I am looking for an awesome individual to take up a room in our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Pyrmont house and keep the good vibes going!
There will be 2 bedrooms (upstairs) for you to choose from, as I am happy with either. The smaller room has 3 windows, a built-in wardrobe and enough space for a Double or Queen bed plus a desk or other furniture. The larger room is loft-style with a wide balcony and no built-ins but plenty of space for funiture. Total rent for the house is $640 per week and I think a $300/$340 split for the rooms is fair, but this is open for discussion. The sunny bathroom (also upstairs) will be shared between me and you. Bills are fairly inexpensive and will be split 50/50.
Downstairs, there is a separate living room, and a kitchen (with gas stove and oven) and dining area that opens to a sunny courtyard and separate laundry. The house came unfurnished and Ella will be taking her things, but we will have a large fridge and washing machine that are both in very good condition, essential kitchen appliances, and shelves/cabinets. I will be looking to buy some extra items, and you will have the opportunity to bring any furniture you may have to add to the house. If you have a car, a full-time permit can be obtained from council for on-street parking. The house is also dog friendly (if you have one, as I do not)!!
About me: My name is Kash. I am a 26 year old insurance professional (who is finally done with exams!!) and will be a sociable but sensible, clean, "low maintenance" housemate. I have rented in Sydney sharehouses for the last 5 years and know how to respect quiet time (having balanced study and full-time work for years), but I'm always up for a movie or a chat. In my down time I enjoy the beach, running, martial arts, and food (it would be nice for us to host the occasional dinner party etc).
Ideally you are a laid back, sociable, but responsible girl or guy in your 20s or early 30s, with plans to stay in Sydney for the next 12 months (the current lease expires March 2019 and can be renewed for 12 months). The room will be available at the end of March (exact date can be flexible). Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions!
FYI we are walking distance from the Fish Market (5 mins), the City/Town Hall (15 mins), Wynyard (20 mins), and Central (25 mins), and very near to Coles, IGA, and four big, beautiful waterside parks. We are also lucky to have really nice real estate agents.
