I'm a quiet, nerdy, slightly artistic mother of teens who loves to cook. There will almost always be cake &/or biscuits. I'm ideally looking for 3 bedrooms for myself, adult son & teen daughter.

I'm from Sydney, have been living in Canberra for university and have stayed on to work as a mental health support worker. In my spare time I enjoy painting, and play soccer and softball. I am looking to meet some people who are on the same wave length as me - enjoy a friendly, clean household, having the occasional wine and watching tv, but also respecting everyone's need for downtime and personal space. My partner lives in Yass so I usually spend half a week away and half a week at home. I am flexible on the move in date as I am currently on a month to month lease. If I sound like a good fit for you, please get in touch! I'm happy to meet for coffee and a chat.
Looking for a room March 2019 or later. Available in person for coffee/viewings from 22 Feb. Returning to Canberra for study, after working in the UK/South Sudan. I like sharing dinner and a glass of wine, perhaps having a few others over to do so as well. On a weekend I'll be heading out climbing, running, hiking, with a bit of that through the week too - a spot (on road/off road) for a car is needed. I enjoy keeping things relatively clean - mice are not my fave housemates! Would be great to live with people in their mid 20s-30s. Unfortunately sneezing mess around cats :( , and not keen on smoking households.
Hello, I am 22yo and have studied music (undergrad) and Speech Pathology (Master's) from UniMelb. I have just moved to Canberra from Melbourne for a graduate position at local Hospital. I am also simultaneously pursuing a career as a classical singer so looking for housemates who are ok with some singing before/after work for at least an hour a day though am happy to work around people! Otherwise, I am fairly easy going and rather tidy person, who is keen to play netball, watch the footy (AFL), chill out and meet new people! Looking for a room from Feb
Hello, I am currently doing my Masters at ANU and also working part time coaching basketball. My friend works full time in Belconnen. We are looking for a place in the inner north or belconnen. Happy to team up or join a share house. We are very easy going, tidy and social people. We both enjoy houses with clean communal areas and a friendly atmosphere. Let us know if you have any questions :)
I am a second year undergrad studying health science at ANU, working casually at Questacon. I am very friendly, pretty tidy, and love to chat but respectful of space. I like music, art and books, bush walks, spending time with family and friends as well as drinking coffee. I am looking for a room close to ANU with friendly likeminded students or professionals for between 6-12 months moving in over the next few weeks (flexible).
Looking for a house/room for the next 6 months as a minimum, with potential for ongoing/permanency if it's the right mix/set-up. About me: I'm starting a new job as a Physio in March, and moving up from Melbourne. I don't take life to seriously, happy to have chats and build a friendly rapport with fellow housemates. Am respectful of others lifestyles and preferences. Like to keep things neat and tidy, and am approachable, so if i'm doing anything annoying just let me know! Otherwise, working, staying active, riding mountain bikes are my main ventures. Looking to move in anytime in March, flexible with start dates. Shoot me a message if you're keen to tee something up. Cheers !
Hi! We are Langdon and Michael and are two university students at ANU looking for 2 bedrooms either sharing with others or as a single property, ideally before the start of the new semester. below you will find a description of each of us. We would love to hear from you! My name is Langdon and I'm going into my fourth year of university at ANU and am looking for a place to live this year. I am from a small town in rural NSW but I grew up in Argentina and America so can speak spanish and have traveled quite a bit. my hobbies include the outdoors, photography, music, and exercise. I am always happy to chat over a beer or to play a game of cards or scrabble but am also very considerate and respect peoples wants for privacy. I'm not much of a party animal, I prefer to stay in with a movie and some nice food over a late night in civic. I am a very keen cook so have a whole heap of cooking books and equipment to clutter the kitchen and hopefully produce some good food out of it. I'm very neat and organised (usually) and will be working two part time jobs as well as being a full time student so will be very busy most of the time. I love playing sport in particular soccer and swimming, and really keen on bouldering at blochaus in Fyshwick. so would love it if I could find some people who are keen on learning to rock climb with me! I am currently interning at an agricultural export company in Melbourne but will be returning to Canberra around the 15th so would really love to have a place organised by then. Thanks a-lot! Langers Hello! I’m Michael and will be going into my fifth and final year of university at the ANU and looking for a year long lease to move into. Originally from Malaysia, I’ve moved to Canberra for university and is now proudly calling Canberra my second home! Growing up in Malaysia has exposed me to a lot of different cultures and that has made me fluent in a few languages. To name a few, Cantonese, Malay, English, and to a certain extent Mandarin. I have recently started to like playing board and card games, and I will always be down to play a few games alongside with some quality wine (and a cheese board!) While my party days as a university student’s history, my usual Thursday night and weekend have evolved around Netflix or just simply doing some body weights workout in my room. Like most people, I believe respecting privacy is one of the key features in maintaining a nice and loving share house. Being a Malaysian at heart means that we love to eat. Thus, the kitchen is no stranger to me. I love making Malaysian foods (though nothing close to home) and would not mind sharing some of my dishes with the household!! Other than that, I also do meal prepping on Sundays when I get really busy. I will be working part time at two jobs alongside being a full time student. Even when I’m busy, I try to keep places neat, tidy, and adhering to the cleaning schedule (if there’s one). When I have some spare time, I love hitting the gym and doing some cycling (rpm) lessons. I’d be more than happy for us to hit the gym together!! I am currently working for my family business in Malaysia and will return to Canberra on the 22nd, and it would be lovely to have a place organised by then. Thanks, Michael
I'm a full-time student from Melbourne studying at the ANU. Currently about to start my fifth year and working part-time as an educator. I'm also a part-time french teacher, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, swimming and reading in my spare time.
Hello, I’m currently studying Environmental Science and working part time. I enjoy cooking, riding my bike, playing sport and anything else outdoors. Non-smoker and have a pet cat named Mac, he’s super relaxed and very low maintenance. If your place is looking for someone and I fit the credentials, feel free to contact me on here :)
Hi there! 32 year old Newcastle native who has been in Canberra since 2015. I currently work 4 days a week at the Department of Health. Have lived in share houses/flats since then and am a neat, reliable housemate. I train most days of the week as a sprinter and like to keep active. I mostly keep to myself but also enjoy a chat, attending sporting events and board games. Looking for a room in a chill environment for 9-12 months while I purchase my own property.
Hello there! I’m just moved to Canberra (from Perth) to study at UC and am looking for a room in a share house. I’m a very clean, tidy and organised guy, early to bed and early to rise. I’m pretty active and live a very healthy lifestyle. Love a good healthy, weekly meal prep and don’t often drink (unless everyone else ). I spend quite a bit of time with outdoorsy pursuits hiking, running, camping etc. I have been living in share houses for a few years now with many other housemates so I know how it all works. I’ll also be bringing my doggy with me. She’s a small/medium mixed breed mutt who is super affectionate and friendly. She has a big personality will work her way into your heart (guaranteed). She loves nothing more than to curl up next to you on the couch at the end of a long day, or a short day – pretty much anytime really. She’s house trained and very obedient. I would love to find a house where she can stay inside during that day because I don’t reckon her short hair and slim frame will lend itself to the frigid winters. I’ll be studying full time, working part time and walking the dog part time but when I’m not doing those things I’ll be exploring Canberra or hanging out in the communal areas of the house. I’m pretty social, always up for chat and a yarn - I won’t be spending much time hiding in my room though I do respect peoples need for personal/quiet time. I would love to find a house with peeps I can be friends with and can do housemate activities with. I enjoy living with social people more than anything! Won't be bringing much with me so a furnished room would be ideal but I'm not fussy. Thanks!!
Hi! I'm Liska, I'm an Honours student studying Chinese translation at ANU. I'm looking for a relaxed, friendly household in the inner north. I'm a language/history dork, love pets, consume music voraciously, enjoy long walks through suburbs, wilderness and parks, sew patches, play video games and make really good margaritas. Wanting to get into gardening + sewing this year too. I also write fiction and build fantasy worlds for fun and pay. Genuinely interested in hearing about your fav movies/books. Currently deep into a long-overdue Game of Thrones binge. Would be open to cooking together too! (although I'm vegetarian) Happy to work within organised cleaning/chore rosters. I keep my own space super tidy but don't need my housemates to be neatfreaks. I'll be bringing my collection of board + card games to wherever I move. I head up to Newcastle sometimes to visit my family and girlfriend. She also likes to visit me too now and then so I'm looking for somewhere where she'd be welcome to stay in my room. Let me know if your place sounds like a match!
I am Dean, a Graduate in the APS - with previous experience in the Queensland State Government. I hold a Law Degree from Griffith University. I am looking to move into a house/apartment in Canberra in February 2019 - either in the inner north or inner south of Canberra. I am a friendly, outgoing individual who enjoys making friends, going out to bars and having adventures. I am a clean person, who is easy to talk to and get along with. I am originally from Esk (a small country town) in Queensland about 100km's North West of Brisbane.
I'm friendly, tidy and easy going. I moved here from W.A a few months ago and Canberra has really surprised me and grown on me! I have lived with plenty of house mates before. I am happy to chill out with a tea on my own or have a chat over a couple of drinks/meal. Im 26, work full-time in the city and I love pets if you have them! Looking for a room to rent and am fairly flexible.
Hi! My name is Acacia-Rae (Rae is a bit easier). I'm looking for a new cool home for me and my little best mate, Teddy. Teddy is a 1 year old cat who is more like a dog: loves people, plays fetch and thinks humans are pretty alright. He is super well behaved, litter trained and comes with actual real estate agent reference! I'm also pretty well trained and can come with references. I have lived in share houses for the past 10 years, some with siblings, some with mates. I am a smoker, but you'll never catch me doing it inside, and I try to be very conscious of any non-smokers' space. I work in a law firm, full time, as an EA. In my down time I like to hang out with my few mates who haven't left Canberra, go to the gym, read, and kiss Teddy on his silly head. An added bonus, some may say, is that I love gardening (may or may not be good at it) so very keen to help if your home has some greenery. Can't wait to hear from ya, future housemate!
Hi my name is Alex! I am 24 years old, from Sydney, and have lived in Canberra for 2 years. I previously lived in Dublin for three years. I work four days a week as an administrator at ANU, and am doing a full time PhD at the ANU School of Public Policy. My housemate and his girlfriend are moving away in early March so I am looking for somewhere new! I have lived in three share houses in the past and have always had a great time. I love cats and dogs and am a clean and relaxed housemate. Social or quiet housemates would be ideal for me! On weekends I like to trip around NSW (and know all the best places to go :P) or have to study at the National Archives.
Hey my name is thom im a 24yr old youth worker looking for a 6 month lease. fairly clean need a tidy space to relax after work. love jiu jitsu, gym, reading and movies. Im also looking for teamups as best i can to have my dog with me which means im willing to pay more for my dog, who is next level trained and well behaved.
I'm down to earth and like to learn from the people around me. I need a bit of solitude from time to time, but also make an effort to be a supportive housemate. The outdoors, exercise, and conversations over coffee are some of the things that I enjoy most. I'm a small business owner looking to knuckle down for the year ahead. I'm looking to either team up with one or two others to find a house to rent, or move into an existing share house. If you think we'd get along as housemates, please get in touch.
I'm moving to Canberra from northern NSW to start work in the APS in 2019. I'm tidy, reliable, respectful, and always up for a friendly chat or rant about the daily grind. I hope to make some great friends that I can have fun with on weekends, whether that be cooking in our pjs, having movie marathons, or going on ski trips!
