Hi I'm Luke. I'm a friendly and easy going bloke, I've recently finished my degree and am currently working full time. I'm looking for a either a house of friendly people or a place of my own. I'm a pretty tidy person and am happy to contribute to the household. I am very active, I spend a lot of time outdoors rock climbing, riding bikes etc If you'd like to know more about me feel free to send me a message.
Hi I'm Josh. I like international cinema (Pan's Labyrinth is amazing), black coffee, I'm quiet and I'm vegan (if you're not that's fine too). I'm 23, I've just moved from Newcastle and I'm studying a B. Economics at the ANU. The occasional dinner/film with housemates would be fun, though I respect privacy and space. I like to keep a clean and organised living space and would be happy to share chores. Before now I studied different humanities part-time in Newcastle. I can move anytime from now until early March.
I work in technology-public sector. I'm a project manager. I'm looking for a furnished apartment. I'm pretty active, enjoy jogging and aerobics. I like reading and enjoy good music. On weekends I like to hangout, drink good coffee and eat good food. I also travel to Sydney regularly on weekends.
I'm Dutch so I'm extremely averse to causing offense. I'm very clean and friendly to a fault, and always open for a movie night or group dinner (I'll clean the dishes unless you guys like pasta). In Australia for a year and decided to start off in Canberra, which isn't nearly as boring as everyone kept telling me 😀
I am clean and tidy. I always pull my weight with house work and pay my bills on time. I enjoy cooking, baking, craft projects, board games and curling up with a book and a cup of tea. I am often up for a chat but also like my privacy.
Hello my name is Gemma and I just moved back from QLD. I am looking for a room for at least 6 months for myself. Currently I work full time Monday-Friday as a Case Worker in Braddon. I am looking for a furnished room if possible. About myself: I enjoy spending time outdoors running, hiking and camping. I am social and love a chat, I am neat and tidy and happy to contribute to cleaning the house regularly. Please get in touch if you think your place might suit! :) Cheers Gemma.
I am pretty chilled out, just moved to Canberra to do a Masters of Pharmacy from the Far South Coast. I will be studying and in my spare time trying out some activities like rock climbing or bike riding. I will also be making trips to the coast. I like to keep fit and healthy but also go out to catch up with friends.
Chloe is studying a bachelor of arts at ANU, majoring in human rights and international relations. Rania (in the picture) is studying psychology at uc. Our current lease ends on the 20th of March, so we're looking for 1-2 new housemates and a new home! We're looking for a tidy, left-leaning, vegan/vego friendly, student home within short driving distance from both unis. We're both respectful, friendly people, and excited to meet our new potential roomies:) - LGBTQI+ friendly
The best word to describe me would be relaxed. I get along with most people and am very accommodating of different wants and needs - I want to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable in their home. I keep to myself for the most part but I'm always happy to chat and a laugh (about 80% of what I say is a joke, I'm having a tough time writing this up so seriously). I run my own business so I mostly work from home but I have an office in the city that I usually work from 2 days a week. Otherwise, I spend most of my time gaming, reading and listening to/making music (usually with headphones). I also love nature, climbing, hiking and camping. I'm a night owl, usually up until 3AM or so but I'm very quiet and make sure I'm not disturbing people. I'm a fairly neat and tidy person and I like to keep a clean kitchen but I'm definitely not a neat-freak. I've happily adjusted to different cleanliness standards before from very high to reasonably low and I'm more than willing to put in more effort if that's your preference. I believe most issues that pop up between housemates can be solved with good communication. I've lived in a few sharehouses in Canberra over the years, big and small groups and different gender splits, so I'm fairly experienced. If that all sounds good to you I'm sure we'll get along well :)
Postgraduate student doing environmental studies in ANU but also working part-time in retail at Woden Westfield. Easygoing and super friendly. Open-minded and respectful person. Fascinate about trying new things and experiencing adventures of life. Love all kinds of outdoor activities but also a fan of movies and TV series. Current housemates accredited ideal housemate type. Searching for good homes to move in sooner or later before May 2018. I have a car and a bike, so parking availability is essential.
Hi there, I will move down to Canberra from Sydney for study and work in late Feb or early Mar. I am looking for one or two females/couple to share a flat with for at least 6 months or longer, but I am flexible with the length. I am an easy going and friendly person. I like to make friends, and wish we could become good friends to hang out and have a talk with. But I do respect others' privacy at the same time. I have experience of living with a family with little kid or females over 5 years, so I have learnt how to be considerate to housemates. I am also a quiet, clean, tidy and organised person. I would like to have a room with build-in wardrobe, ideally also is furnished (but I am flexible with that if the rent is a bit lower :P). I have a car, so off-street parking is necessary, of course garage is perfect! I do want the location of the house/flat has an easy access to public transport too, although lower frequency is acceptable. I look forward to hearing some good news from you guys! :)
Hey hey! I recently moved here to Canberra from Lebanon I'm an architect i work full time in a contracting company. I'm easy going laid back and artsy type of dude. I love music I like company, I currently live in Deakin in a granny flat and the only reason why I would want to leave is because it's small so basically the whole house is cramped in one room, add to that I would love to be part of a bigger house with housemates :) Thanks a bunch :))
I am a quiet person. I don't go out much or have many people over. I am out of the house around 9-6 weekdays. Usually away every second weekend seeing family. I am pretty tidy. I don't leave dishes around the place or random bits and bobs.
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra from the US, and am looking to team up with some flatmates. I'm easy-going, active and would like to live with someone who'll hang out and have a beer every so often. I'm hoping to find a place with a garden or some area I can make into a garden. I don't have a preference at all for the region where we'd live, as long as it's within a 15-20 minutes drive from ANU.
We have the most sought after suburb in Canberra beautiful Aranda surrounded by bushland trees and birds next to a park with 1 neighbor peace and quiet time perfect for studying or relaxing after a long day. Within minutes to city center, Westfield belconnen, Jamison Plaza, Swimming pool, food market, ANU, TAFE, UC, hospital, GIO Stadium, AIS, Telstra tower, bushwalking trails and more. 30 second walk to the bus stop for a 5 - 10 minutes bus ride to the City center. The house has a large front and back yard with BBQ and fire place storage shed and lots of parking available
We are both relaxed, though we don't mind having a drink regularly as it helps maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the house. We have lived in shared houses for a long time and enjoyed above anything else meeting different people (especially with a different ethnic and cultural background - I'm French and Hannah is Kiwi). We particularly like houses in which everybody feel home, comfortable, independant and willing to talk to eachother every so often.
I think I'm a pretty considerate housemate! Easy going, clean, tidy and conscious of noise. I clean up after myself and am not a fan of clutter or things being left around the place unnecessarily. I keep busy with my hobbies which include photography, dancing, yoga, travel, walking my dog and bush walking. I'm always up for adventures and on weekends you'll find me out on my mountain bike, up early to watch the sunrise or swimming at Uriarra. I don't watch much TV as I prefer to be outdoors, but when the mood strikes, I can be found watching documentaries or the occasional trashy show on netflix as a way to chill out and switch off. I'm not into the party scence or have guests over very often as I like my space to be a place of refuge and zen, but will have the occasional night out with friends every now and again. I work full time in the public service and have been employed in the same department for the past 8 years which pays the bills, but my dream job would be a national geographic photographer travelling the world. I have a very affectionate staffy cross whom I rescued from the rspca. She's about 9yrs old and mostly sleeps all day. Non-destructive, doesn't bark or dig holes, and is both an inside and outside dog but happy to work around this if needs be. I'm looking for a place I can chill that's kept clean and tidy and have equally considerate housemates who are happy to have a drink and chat every now and again. Feel free to get in touch if you think we could live together.
Hi! I'm a friendly and sociable young person, and I'm definitely more interesting than that sentence sounds. I work at Canberra Grammar School part time where I teach programming classes, and I'm in my final year of a Policy Studies degree at ANU. I really like cooking, board games, and writing. I'm a quite clean person - I keep my stuff clean and I'm not huge on living in a dirty environment. I've been sharehousing in Canberra for two years now, so I know how to be a respectful and helpful housemate.
I am super easy going, quiet, clean and social. Will definitely not sit in my room everyday, as I will probably be in the kitchen cooking something! Love animals, music, reading and my fair share of trashy TV! Promise that I will never let you down with rent, cleaning, upkeep etc. Reliable and responsible and looking for something safe, chilled and fun!
I'm considerate and easygoing. I'm a grown-up and won't trash your place! I'm a good cook and people tell me I'm good company and a good conversationalist. I have a sense of humour :). I'm originally from the UK, but have lived and worked in several different countries, and I enjoy meeting different kinds of people and hearing about their lives. When I'm not working at the University of Canberra, I'm a musician (but I will go out to do that, as I play with singers and bands; I won't annoy you with noise at home).
Hi! I'm Vin, I work part time as a plant science technician at ANU, and as a swim teacher in the afternoons. When I'm not growing mutant plants or teaching kids how to swim, I like to kick back with a wine or cider and a good conversation or some Netflix. My passions include teaching, cooking, dancing and being active. I also enjoy playing board games, trying out new brunch spots on the weekends and going on hikes/picnics. I am a very tidy person and value cleanliness. I am quite social and easy going, but also appreciate my space and privacy sometimes. If this sounds like your ideal housemate, please get in touch and we can arrange to meet for a coffee!
Hi! I'm Tomás from Chile and I will soon start my PhD in plant science at ANU. I want to live with someone who is easygoing, open-minded and keen on keeping his/her place clean and ordered. These are the basics, but I'd also like to call my flatmate a friend, so I can tell you I'm very passionate about how nature works, I love being outdoors, gardening, I like books and movies (a lot) and to share a nice conversation with a good beer/wine. Also I'm a good cook and I love to share that with others. At other times I like to keep to myself and study, read, write or play the classical guitar. I'd like to live in a place at cycling distance (<10 km) from ANU, and which I can call home. If you feel like we'd make a good match please don't hesitate to contact me for either joining your house or teaming up. I will be staying in Canberra from Feb 28th and will have a couple weeks to look for a more definitive place. Cheers!
