Hi :) I am a 24 year old male moving from Melbourne to start a position in the APS. I like being outdoors, going for walks and watching sport, but also enjoy relaxing and watching a good Netflix series or playing board games. I'm more than happy socialising but also appreciate my own time. I am reliable, responsible and respectful of others and hope for the same.
My name is Jeremy and I am an easygoing, IT Professional in his 30's who has recently moved to Canberra. I am social but also respect peoples privacy. I am clean and like cooking, so happy to cook an occasional meal for the house.
Hey everybody, I am Clare and I’m a youthful 55yrs post-surgery Transgender female who is very easy going. I am seeking other people to start a new share-house with up to 3-4 bedrooms. My location preferences are for suburbs surrounding the Belconnen town centre. I am happy to mix and match ages/genders with individuals or to share with an older (30’s/40’s) single parent with 1-2 school-aged children. I can contribute general furniture and whitegoods to the property, although I don't have a dining setting or a lounge suite. But I have just about everything else you could need, especially kitchen items! Alternatively, I can place unused items in a dry, lockup garage if available at the property. I also have garden equipment - lawn mower, whipper snipper, etc, to help with outdoor maintenance. I have an existing NBN Internet service with unlimited data and a 100mb speed connection. It also includes the Optus 'Fetch' TV with 6 channels and access to Netflix, etc. My Internet plan is on a casual basis (no lock-in contract), so I can transfer it or cancel it if necessary. ABOUT ME: I'm currently a student at the University of Canberra studying Bch Of Public Health / Psychology. However I’m planning to take a study break and obtain employment for the next year or two and then return to study at a later time. I'd prefer a property close to regular public transport services, especially those that go by the University of Canberra or direct links to Civic/Belconnen. But i'm flexible for the 'right' property. I am required to give three weeks’ notice to vacate at my current property, otherwise I am flexible with moving dates. That's it !!! Hit me up if you’re interested in teaming up!
Hi! I am a friendly 24 year old female athlete, training and working at the Australian Institute of Sport. I am quiet and very clean. Looking for some easy going & sociable housemates, with a budget of $250/week plus utilities. Move date can be flexible.
Hey everyone! I'm Holly and I'm a Public Health graduate moving to Canberra from Melbourne for a grad job early-mid January. We'll get along if you're looking for a flatmate that: - generally keeps to themselves but will always be up for banter - has prematurely aged past their partying days but will never say to a glass of wine or a GnT - keeps active - if you want a hiking buddy hmu! - will keep our shared spaces clean and organised - advocates for intersectionality - you might occasionally walk in on dancing badly while cooking I've been offered an 18 month contract so preference for accommodation that's 12 months or more!
Hi, I'm Amanda (31). I'm friendly, clean, tidy and easy going. I'm a Program Coordinator in the APS. I enjoy socialising but I'm fairly busy so like my down time. I'm out and about most of the weekend and some weeknights. I own all my own furniture, appliances, homewares etc (available if needed). Looking for a chilled, non smoking home or team-up, male, female or mix, with people around my age. Ideally a large unfinished room with ensuite. I'd also like to be able to entertain from time to time. I enjoy cooking, sports, movies and reading. I've had a lot of sharehouse experience. Love a good chat, dinners, watching sports, comedy and having a laugh.
I'm moving to Canberra for work in mid-December as an engineer in the public service and am looking for a room in a chill share house where I can feel at home. I like doing my own thing but enjoy having a chat/dinner as well. I've lived in share-houses for the past 5 years and am just looking for another good one. I'm a very active person and love playing tennis and bike riding, but also like hanging out and playing a board game.
I'm a fourth year at ANU studying PPE and Music. I do work part-time, but most of my time is spent working on the record label I run down here (warm water.) 🙂 I also study full time, so I'm out and about most days, but love coming home to a cup of tea and a catch up when people are feeling it! not a huge nightclub person so don't often come home too late, but don't mind a cheeky beer/glass of wine if it's going. I've also been a part of the pastoral care team at college for the last two years, so I love meeting new people and I'm definitely one to stay on top of any necessary responsibilities (with a healthy amount of chill in the mix) 🙂
Hi, I am fifty six and get along with people of all ages; most of my friends are in their thirties. I have lived in few share places, with some friends and also did some house-sitting over the last four years. I like to socialise and spend time with friends. I plan to do study next year. In the past I have done counselling, retail, public service work as well as self-publishing five books on Amazon. I like music gigs, art and movies and I guess you could call me a spiritual person. I have been involved in the LGBTQI community and also with the Refugee Action Committee. I am just overcoming chronic fatigue and I have a peripheral vision loss but am quite functional. I hope to find the right people in the right place. Thank you.
Hey my name is Sophie. I am currently living in Spence in a sharehouse. I am looking to move somewhere a bit more central at the end of the year (when my lease runs out). I work full time as an occupational therapist. I have lived in sharehouses for 5 years and am an easy going and reliable housemate. I enjoy hanging out with my housemates and having a laugh/ bevs but also respect peoples own space. I spend most of my weekends going on outdoor adventures and keeping active. Message me if you are interested in teaming up or have any questions!
Hi I'm Steph, 31, originally from Victoria but have been living along the east coast and overseas for too many years to be considered a proper Victorian anymore. I'm working as an ecologist/research scientist, starting a position at ANU come December but currently am in France teaching a Masters course (so excuse the odd hour, I'm 10 hours behind). The perks of the job include fieldwork out in the desert and up in the mountains, so I get to travel a bit and love it. I keep a 9 - 5ish work week but with fieldwork can be away for 2 - 3 weeks. I'm a relaxed, outgoing, open minded, and happy to have a chat (science, nature, art and modern takes on philosophy are my jam), but also respectful of other people's space. On weekends, I like to get outdoors whether it be hiking, bike riding, gardening, catching up with friends or playing soccer, but definitely indulge in cafe culture, gigs and lazy days every now and again. I'm perpetually in pursuit of finding the best laksa, and almond croissants, and cook mostly plant based meals at home, I like to cook for others, but probably have a higher than usual tolerance for spicy food so fair warning. I bake sporadically, certainly not a contender for The Great British Bake Off. I'm looking for a cosy environmentally conscious home with some lovely people to share it with. I come bearing an eclectic collection of spices, pizza stone, slow cooker, mixer and good knives.
Looking for someone to be our 4th roommate! We are a group of 3 Software Engineering Students studying at UC, all in the 3rd year of our degrees. We are mostly a quiet bunch, not huge party people. We are clean and respectful, down to just chill out, cook food, play a bunch of games and chat. We are looking for a 4th person to join us in the search of a 4 bedroom house, so rent can be affordable and we get the breathing room and space that a 3-bedroom place cannot really supply. We have a shortlist of houses that we are looking at, and with 4 people the rent sits around $130-150 per week per person excl. Utils. If you want more details, chuck me a message and i can show you the places we are looking at as well as any other details you need. If you would like to grab a coffee, give me a shout and we can meet up too! We aren't fussy or judgmental people, but it pays to be someone who's a bit fun, and a bit nerdy ;)
