Are you looking for a housemate that is clean, considerate, and easy going? Then look no further! I am an early 30's professional, returning to Australia, having spent the last 3 years in London. I am a mature and clean housemate, who enjoys the occasional glass of wine, movie nights in, and a good book. I have a passion for travel and exploring new cultures. I have seen vast parts of Europe, Asia, and the middle east. Highlights include hiking the fjords of Norway, catching the northern lights in sub zero temperatures, and hiking Petra under the stars. I love to hear travel stories, and am always scheming my next adventure.
Hey there, I am Thomas. I grew up in Paris and studied Earth Sciences in both Paris and Zürich (five months). For the next three to four years I will be studying at the Research School of Earth Sciences of the ANU as a PhD candidate. I am definitely easy-going, love listening to music, enjoy meeting up and partying with friends as well as watching movies or playing games. Not the best cook, expect me to try, but success is not always there ! Most importantly I would say, always paying attention to others and ready to give a hand ! I am up for a Skype if you consider it helpful, just send me a message.
I'm friendly, easy-going, conscientious, neat and tidy and pretty quiet. I work full time as a vet nurse, a job I absolutely love. In my spare time you'll find me relaxing, watching a movie or TV show, going to markets, out for dinner or walking my dog. I'm in no way a party animal, though I'm not opposed to a glass of wine or two. I like to keep a clean house and nothing annoys me more than people who can't clean up after themselves. I really have no huge preference to suburbs in Canberra. So yes, I have a dog. I also have two cats. Tommy is a 6yr old DSH who does nothing but sleep. Maxie is about 1.5yrs, also DSH. She's very sweet and a bit of a homebody. Roy is a small poodle mix, 7kg, about 1yr old, quite timid when he first meets people but a real character once he's happy and comfortable. The cats are outside during the day, inside at night and, being a vet nurse, I'm lucky enough to be able to take Roy with me to work every day! Both cats are litter trained and Roy is house trained. All three are up to date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. Can provide referees.
Irish male moving to Canberra for a PhD at the Australian Institute of Sport. When not busy studying or doing research, like to have fun by watching most sports and always up for a laugh. Non smoker and enjoy cooking.
Hello, I am Mengchen a 23 year old graduate from ANU. I am working full time as Software Engineer now. I want to look for a shared house with a single room myself. I hope the Internet in the room is good and there is a at least off-street car park for my car.
We have the most sought after suburb in Canberra beautiful Aranda surrounded by bushland trees and birds next to a park with 1 neighbor peace and quiet time perfect for studying or relaxing after a long day. Within minutes to city center, Westfield belconnen, Jamison Plaza, Swimming pool, food market, ANU, TAFE, UC, hospital, GIO Stadium, AIS, Telstra tower, bushwalking trails and more. 30 second walk to the bus stop for a 5 - 10 minutes bus ride to the City center. The house has a large front and back yard with BBQ and fire place storage shed and lots of parking available
Jens and I are 23 and 22 years old, both from Germany and both studying Physics. Jens has graduated already and is going to start his PhD in Astrophysics at ANU. Therefore he will be living in Canberra for at least a few years. I am doing my Masters in Physics and I will come to Canberra to write my Masters thesis in a research group at ANU for about six months. We both like sports and the outdoors a lot and love to go mountainbiking, hiking, skiing, swimming, surfing,... Both of us have lived in shared flats before and like to consider ourselves as pretty uncomplicated as well as clean and tidy. Of course we are always up for a chat or sharing a meal with our flatmates :)
Hi, I'm Sha, 22. I'm studying in ANU major in Engineering. I'm looking for a peaceful place to live off campus. Personality-wise, I'm a quite person yet easy going. I spend a lot of time studying and when I'm not on my computer, I work at a cafe. I have lived in sharehouses before, so I totally know how to be a good roommate (keeping the common areas fairly neat, not eating your sandwich, etc).
Looking for somewhere to live North-side. I am 24 years old, happy to do some house work in my spare time. I am a gamer, I enjoy playing online games with my friends. I have a lovely friendly English Springer Spaniel dog named Tank. He's well behaved and house trained. I also love to cook and are more than happy to make lovely meals for my roommates once or twice a week. I'm quiet, keep to myself mostly but I'm happy to go out shopping or to a movie once in a while. I have two jobs currently, disability work and restaurant work. I also have a Netflix account I'd be happy to share with future roommates! :D
I'm a Sydney professional who would be studying in Canberra. I am normal and very tidy. We can have fun and watch tv or we can stay quiet and have no eye contact. I don't mind either way. I like making delicious breaky and loves exercising. I'm chill so I'm hoping you too are chill. If you're not, I respect that. Some people can't chill.
Young, bubbly professional working in healthcare and statistics. Looking for a place to call home. Originally from Sydney, currently in Bruce. Preference is for a clean place with my own room (not shared), fun and friendly professionals/students that also know when to give personal space. I usually keep myself busy with work, reading or soccer and also like to go out on the weekends to meet with friends/nature.
Hi there! My name is Quang. I am an undergrad international student majoring in International Relations at ANU. I am looking for an accommodation close to ANU with minimum 3 months lease (maximum budget $250 per week). I am friendly and sociable and looking to live with other students from ANU if possible. I also enjoy having shared meals and a good chinwag. In terms of hobbies, I am into photography, sports, playing board games, traveling, and learning foreign cultures and languages (can speak English, Vietnamese and Japanese). I am a keen learner who believes that learning never stops. I am enthusiastic and passionate in whatever I do. While I'm studying, I also work part-time to support myself. My parents provide sufficient funds to responsibly cover my expenses as well, so my financial situation is pretty steady. Please message me if you would like to get in contact. Looking forward to hearing from you!
My name’s Rory. I’ve got a part-time job as a research assistant at ANU. I’m doing my masters thesis part time. My favourite movie is probably Independence Day. I like reading, going for bushwalks, and doing archery. On the days when I’m not working I spend a lot of time out and about, and catch up with friends maybe 2 or 3 nights a week. I don’t watch much TV. I've got a female housecat. Been living in Canberra for a little over 3 years now.
I'm in my final year studying physio. I play rugby, when at home I like to read a book or watch Netflix.Generally pretty quiet, but always up for a chat.
What makes me great to live with? Its a toughie, buuuut I love to listen (sounds weird i know) and will happily talk about absolutely anything Im quite clean, I wouldn't say OCD level clean but enough to pass. I enjoy food and love to cook, also happy to share ;) I like gardening even though Im not very good and really have no clue as to what im doing.. I guess just having your own food grown at home is a really cool concept! Id say im a pretty decent human, I have absolutely no urge to get ahead of someone or anything like that, im just kind of cruising along helping anyone in need. I love to laugh and not take life so seriously, still trying to figure out if thats a good or bad thing.. Very spontaneous, wont fail to surprise you with the many ideas and dreams I come up with! Not really sure on what else to say, Im just a very friendly and easy going person who is interested in peoples passions!
I am a clean and tidy, friendly, easy going, relaxed housemate that is just as happy to socialize as well as do my own thing. Looking for a new place to move in to as soon as possible for at least several months while I am trying to sell my house and buy a new one. I haven't rented for a while but I am always reliable with all rent and bills.
I come with a 55" tv and netflix account :D! I'm a country girl in my 20s, looking for a new place to live (and/or new housies). I love cooking and baking and am happy to share that if you're keen. I work FT in the public service. I have basically a house full of furniture so no worries there (likewise I can sell most of it if your place already has everything). I love being outside and like going away some weekends to explore or visit with family and friends. I enjoy photography, camping, kayaking. I have some pets- a couple of chooks and ducks, and a kelpie pup. I'm friendly but fairly quiet- so social but I also like solo time like everyone. I enjoy gardening and tend to have a decent veggie patch or pots of veggies and herbs, so if you're not a fan of plants I'm happy to step in :). I also have my own little firepit and supply of marshmallows to toast! I'd be happy to share with other people with pets as well (don't worry my poultry will have their own house). Yell out if you have something which might suit my pets and I :) or think we'd get along as housemates to team up and apply :). Thanks for reading!

- Moving to Canberra from Newcastle to study at UC - 27yo, lived in share house environments for the past 7 years - Reliable (rent + bills paid on time), respectful, clean, tidy, laidback, good for a laugh - As I'm moving to a new city, I will be looking for casual/part time work to commence as soon as I can - Worked in the health & fitness industry for the past 4 years so living an active, healthy, #fitlife pretty much sums me up - Enjoy getting outdoors, exploring and adventuring, experiencing good quality food as well as hanging out with family and friends - I get along with all animals (dogs in particuarly) so no problem there if the house has pets - I'm a non-smoker, not a big party animal but don't made the occasional drink here and there - Would be looking to move in the weekend of 05/08/17 - As I live in Newcastle, NSW, coming to view/inspect the room is a bit of an issue but as mentioned above I'm quite laidback so I'm sure whatever photos you provide will suffice - If you'd like to have a chat and get to know me more I'm happy to talk on the phone or via skype Cheers, Toddy
My name is Lottie, I am 26, Canberra girl, no partner, friendly, laugh a lot and chatty but not in your face! By day I'm a carer for clients with disabilities, on the side I freelance my makeup services (ladies; wink wink... I come with lots of makeup) and at night....i become cat woman. Kidding I sleep very soundly. Preferably looking for a place long term with an ensuite. But I am happy to compromise. I love animals of all kinds and will delight in walking your dog if you have one. Other notables; I'm not a clean freak but am certainly neat and tidy. I listed am available from 1st August onwards but I'm flexible about that. I love antiques and I play guitar and sing. Looking forward to meeting you :)
Hey my name is Monique. I'm an international student moving to Canberra at the end of July to study at UC for a year. Looking for a furnished room (or not) somewhere close by. I've shared apartments before so I know how it goes. And no, my dog isn't coming with me sadly. Would love to share a place with someone who has dogs.
I am a full-time PhD student at the University of Canberra and in the final year of my studies. Looking for a place to live with a nice bunch of people. I like to cook and bake, garden (grow vegetables), read, be active, the company of others but also my own space and privacy. I am easy-going, clean and tidy, reliable, sociable and respectful of other people's privacy.
Hi, I am a international student who will be studying B.com at University of Canberra. I love to make new friends but I also respect their privacy. I would prefer to stay very close to the university since it's my first time here. I am from India and I pretty much adjust to anyone, except smokers.I don't smoke neither do I drink. I don't have any problem with you drinking if that's the case.
Hi, I'm moving from Sydney to Canberra in 1st week of August, and I am looking for a furnished room in a share house of maximum 3-4 people. I just finished my masters and soon would start internship (3 days a week) at an IT company in Sydney CBD. So I would spend 3 days a week in Sydney and rest 4 days in Canberra. I would work part-time at Jamison coles (I would do night shifts between 7pm-1am). I'm extremely neat and tidy, and I like to keep house neat and clean all the time. I used to stay at UC Village with 4 other people, I understand meaning of sharing the apartment/house :) I would take online lecture during the day (around 1 hour), so I would like it quiet. I'm not party animal at all, but would like to catch up on drinks occasionally. In my spare time I love to workout and explore new places around the city. Plz text me if you think you got a place for me. Cheers :)
Hey there! I'm making the move to the ACT from the NSW south coast for work and to begin my studies. I'd say I'm a great, easy person to live with as I like to keep things clean and tidy, am a reliable person when it comes to paying the rent and do respect the privacy of others. I keep to myself most of the time and do appreciate my quiet time to recharge, but am always up for a stimulating conversation with a few good laughs thrown in over a good meal or a coffee as well as getting the opportunity to meet new people and develop friendships. I'm an active person - in my free time I enjoy keeping fit by going for long walks, the gym and have been involved in sport and fitness most of my life. I also enjoy getting out of the house and going for nice long roadtrips and stopping off to new places to explore.
We will have a room available now in our beautiful all-female sharehouse, which is located in a prime location in Belconnen. The bedroom will be available form Monday 31st July. The bedroom is a furnished single room with built in wardrobes, beautiful large windows, and ducted heating in the whole house including the bedroom. It is furnished with a king single bed, desk and chair, but if you have your own, I'm happy to remove the furniture. Rent is $220 per week, and is inclusive of all utilities as well as unlimited high-speed internet. The house is single-level, with four private rooms, and large common living, dining and outdoor patio areas. The house is fully furnished, with appliances available for you to use. The bedroom shares the large bathroom area with two other clean females. The space has door-separated shower, basin and toilet areas which means they can each be used privately by someone different at the same time. We are in an ideal location, with the University of Canberra a 5 minute walk, major Belconnen offices 5-10 minute walk, Calvary Hospital a 5 minute drive, and 1 minute walk to regular buses into the city and the Australian National University (bus takes 10-15 minutes to city). Also walking distance to CISAC sports complex, Westfield shopping centre and Ginnenderra Lake. We would welcome any ladies who may be up for a chat in the evenings, but who can also respect the privacy and quiet-time of others. You'll be someone who is friendly, respectful, tidy, and also (strictly) a non-smoker. This room is suitable for one female only, not for couples, families or pets. Please send me a message if you are interested in staying with us!
A fully furnished double size room with BIR in house in belconnen. Older style, cosy 4 bedroom house with 2 toilets and one bathroom. Relaxed, friendly, neat and tidy house. 175 per week or 210 for couple with shared bills. Possible option to extend.
Hey so I'm Josie and am currently living in Macgregor but would like to teamup with someone and move into Belconnen or the newly built townhouses in Lawson. I am not needing to move straight away but just looking to see who's interested. I am currently part time at plush in Fyshwick and will start study again at UC in August. I am very clean and tidy, I respect others, I don't party but I normally will have one friend at a time coming and going from hanging out. I would prefer someone who is clean as I don't need to clean up after other as I normally did when living at home. I love Netflix, play Xbox, draw and enjoy camping even tho I haven't gone in a bit.
Hi, I'm Gillian! I've been in Canberra for 6 months, originally from Melbourne and working full-time in the APS. I'm very easy to live with, clean and respectful. Happy to have the odd drink or meal with housemates, but equally happy doing my own thing. Food (or perhaps eating) is my calling - I love finding new places to eat, enjoy reading in my spare time, attempting to grow plants and spending the odd pyjama day on the couch binging on trashy tv. Ideally I'd like to live with someone like minded, but am pretty flexible in who that or they may be. I don't have much furniture wise (other than for my room), but have plenty of handy bits and pieces for around the house.
I am a 4th year student at UC. I will be returning from 8 months overseas on July 29. I am looking for a place within walking distance to Uni of Canberra or a short drive away. I am very friendly and am looking for a house or apartment that has a great vibe as I want to live with roommates who I can hang out with, have drinks with and movie nights with. I am a student so I prefer to live with other students, or young professionals in their early to mid twenties. I love to cook, go out for drinks, travel, swim in rivers etc and am easy going, clean and pretty easy to live with!
