We are a young couple from Newcastle and we are moving to Canberra for work at very short notice. We urgently require short-term accommodation until we can get settled in and find our own place. We would like to move in preferably no later than the beginning of June. Our preferred length of stay is around 2-3 months but we can be flexible with this. Elliott (22 y.o.) - Public servant and Clark Kent look-alike; currently working as a research assistant and finishing the last semester of a commerce degree via distance. Michelle (27 y.o.) - Recently completed a B.A. in politics and international relations; moving to Canberra to work and study at ANU. • We are mature, respectful, and clean up after ourselves. • We're sociable and easy to get along with, but we also appreciate having our own space. • We'll be working full-time hours Monday-Friday and studying during nights/weekends, so we're looking for housemates who are quiet and considerate, especially during the evening. (We don't mind sharing with other students as long as it's not a noisy 'party house' type environment). • We're not adverse to hanging out occasionally — it would be nice to know some locals who can show us around the city and recommend things to see/do in Canberra :) • Hoping to find a room that's already furnished because we'll need time to acquire our own furniture. A queen bed would be ideal because all of our sheets, quilts etc. are queen size (and Elliott is probably too tall to sleep on anything smaller). • We'll need parking space (Elliott has a car and I plan to bring mine down from Newcastle in the near future, too). • I'll be relying on public transport for at least a few weeks, so accommodation located reasonably close to public transport is a must. • We would prefer to have our own bathroom/ensuite (if possible) but we're not in a position to be too fussy. • Decent internet/Wi-Fi and heating/cooling is essential.
Hi there. I'm a pretty low maintenance and highly responsible professional adult. i pay the rent on time, I clean, i respect people's space. I'm an ex-engineering drafter/designer turned Personal Trainer. I'm working full time in the hospitality industry while I study to become a personal trainer with the Australian Institute of Fitness. I'm fairly active and am not home too much.
Hi lm Georgie I am very chill love a chat and can respect privacy I have small elderly dog she is very friendly
I’m an incoming-postgraduate student of Environmental Management and Development to ANU, coming from the United Arab Emirates. Although I was born in Australia, I grew up as an expat kid in the Middle East, leading to my undergraduate studies in England and Hong Kong. I’m not that familiar with Australia but really looking forward to starting my next chapter there. I’d consider myself a courteous and tidy flatmate who is open-minded, socialable and studious. Hoping to work part-time and explore Southeast Asia and the Pacific outside of my studies.
We are a calm, friendly, tidy and respectful couple. We are planing to Study, Work and travel, so we will be out most of times. We arrive in Canbera in July. Our hobbies are cycling, kitesurfing, snowboarding and exploring new wonderful places. We are open-minded and will be happy to meet new friends. Best regards, Alex
I’m an 18 year old law student at UC. I’m super friendly but a bit of an introvert and I like my own space. That being said I’m always happy to have a chat. I have a kitten, named Snowpea, who would be coming with me. He’s an indoor cat and super lovely
I’m a very easy going and friendly person. I’m flexible with living arrangements and will easily follow house rules.

Hey future roomie! As you'd probably already established, I'm Georga, I am 25 years young (old) and am currently living in Franklin I moved to Canberra a little over a year ago and absolutely adore it here. I work in construction full time, and do 1, maybe 2 waitressing shifts a week at the Dickson Tradies. (This supports my Kmart habit) I quite like a drink, and love nothing more than cutting loose on weekends (I start work super early during the week so no late nights for this Grandma) I am a very social person and would like entertaining friends on the weekends with BBQ's and wines. Not fussed on the area, anywhere North side. I come with bedroom furniture a BBQ and an outdoor lounge setting. Ideally looking for a room with ensuite, but that’s not a deal breaker. Parking is a must though. About you: I would love to live in a sociable, friendly and generally happy happy household. X
WHO: I'm a full-time worker who is clean and reliable but also very quiet. I do tend to keep to myself but I am happy for a chat now and then. I’m vegan, non-drinking and non-smoking (but don’t mind if you’re not), and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. My current housemate/landlord can provide a reference if desired. I have lots of sharehouse experience and references are available. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy place that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet (no ad hoc parties!). I have my own furniture and am hoping to fit a single bed, chest of drawers, bookcase and desk in my room. I also have a small amount of my own cookware for the kitchen, if it can be accommodated. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or disruptive drunkenness. WHERE: Anywhere in the ACT, so don’t be put off if your suburb isn’t in my preferred list. WHEN: I need to move by June 30 at latest; if moving sooner than that I need to give 2 weeks notice at my current address. HOW: If you would like to meet me and show me your place, please send me a message (with any extra helpful info that is not in your listing), and we'll go from there.
