Hey everyone! I'm making the big move from Canada to study dent at USYD and am looking for a new place to call home. I'm excited about this new experience and am hoping to make new friends to go explore the area with! A bit about myself: I have had the experience of living in shared rental housing (males & females) during undergrad and I understand the responsibilities and dynamics that come with it! I find living with cool people I vibe with a lot more fun and enjoyable than living on my own. I'm an open-minded, easygoing, sociable, compassionate, trustworthy, and energetic person. I genuinely love going out and meeting new people and listening to the life stories they share. I enjoy good banter, am always down for an adventure and a good time and like to joke around and laugh a lot. That said, I also know when I need to buckle down and hustle - aka the study grind! As your housemate, I will: pay my bills on time, clean up after myself, respect your privacy, respect the common areas, share, be generous in the kitchen, be a straight-shooter, have open honest communication, be understanding and considerate, and contribute to a positive environment. Things I like to do outside work: go to the gym, read a good book, be outdoors, explore, go on hikes, go to the beach, toss a football around, watch football & hockey, go to sports games, volunteer in the community, go out dancing, go to concerts, go for brunch, check out new cafes/bars/live music, listen to podcasts, binge some tv, discuss life, play with my pets, try new things, travel!! Oh and I love (and is almost always) listening to all kinds of music! && You can trust me to 99.9% of the time - have a fresh pot of coffee brewing each morning. I'm hoping for something near USYD (would be prime if it was walking distance!) and at least a year long with the potential of more since I will be in Syd for the next couple of years. Thanks for your time & excited to hear from y'all :) PS I have pets back in Canada, so I would be happy to have house pets around if you have them
I'll study at UTS in finance. Looking for a room no more than two share beds. I'd prefer a roommate that doesn't smoke and clean. I’m easygoing, good at cooking, sometimes make cocktails. I can speak 3 different Chinese local languages. I have years of experience living in dorms, so I know how to act appropriately and won’t disturb others. A place that is quiet and transportation is convenient is preferred
I work full time in accounts and studying part time. I'm easy going and quite laid back, I enjoy cooking and baking, weekend drinks, bush walking, and some outdoor stuff. I'm looking for a room for myself, at the moment i need it for 3 months with possibility of extending it
I would like to find a tidy and quiet place to live. If you have any room available now please message me. If the house is really close to Sydney University and is a private room I could consider about around 300 per wk.
Hi! My name is Mirjam, I'm 21 years old and I'm from the Netherlands, where I study cultural anthropology. For my study abroad I will be in Sydney for one semester. I like reading, watching netflix, and doing things with my friends.
I'm looking for a room for myself and my friend. Both male. I work in the music industry and my friend is a full time Masters student at the University of Sydney. Any questions, feel free to send me a message. Cheers!
Hey there! My name is Jasper, a 20 year old Dutch student looking for accommodation in Sydney from February 15(ish) until July(also ish). I’ll be studying at USYD, so looking for something in the vicinity. I love doing things, yep, it’s that simple. I basically like doing all kinds of things, but specifically enjoy sports, photography (and other forms of art although I’m not too good at most), music (listening and dancing, can’t make music to save my life), adventure (hiking, swimming, exploring, want to learn how to surf) and literally whatever else, I’m down. I’m looking for a room, no need to be big, in a house with people who like to do things too, so we can do things together. If you have something or know something, please let me know. I’m looking for something around 200 AUD/week. I can skype, facetime, snapchat call whatever to get to know you. Looking forward to hear from you! Cheers, Jasper!
I am a first year visual arts student at Sydney Uni. Have had a gap year backpacking and working in New Zealand. Originally from the UK, but lived in Aus for 10 years now. I love the outdoors and the indoors, doing stuff and not doing stuff. I can sew, knit, cook, hula hoop, do fire poi, braid. I'm looking for a house where people look after each other, but allow space. Clean up after themselves but dont freak out at a mess. I love cats and birds and coffee and chocolate.
I am a Master Student from Paris. I am looking for a room in shared flat for a period of 5/6 months from April. I'm going to Sydney to do an internship at a research lab in Camperdown. I am excited to discover a new country with another culture and to meet enthusiastic people with whom we could share goods times.
I am a recent graduate looking for a clean and quiet place close to the city to prepare for job applications and postgraduate studies. I am looking for a private furnished room with female flatmate(s) to live in the short term till July. I am from Malaysia and recently completed my studies in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sydney. I stayed in a student accommodation for years but had to move out since I am no longer a student. I enjoy watching TED talks, playing Minesweeper and going for walks.
Hey. I am Anmol, a 21 year old student who just got accepted into USYD. I am kind of an introvert who enjoy spending time alone with my laptop or books. That said, I don't mind talking occasionally maybe over lunch or coffee. I don't smoke or drink and don't enjoy parties so basically boring. I plan to move in Feb 2019. I prefer cleanliness and I try to keep things in order as much as possible.
I am an exchange student from the United States studying at the University of Sydney for a few months. I will most likely be in classes or out exploring most of the time, but I am looking for a quiet home to relax and study at the end of the day.
We are two girls from Barcelona that will be moving to Sydney in February to do a semester in the University of Sydney!
Hi all !! I am a 33 years old male. I work full time as Registered Nurse. I'm from Saudi Arabia and I have lived in United States for 7 years, where I did my bachelor degree and got amazing work experience there. Then I moved to Canada for almost 2 years just to gain more experience either in life or work. Now, I decided to pursue my master degree in critical nursing at The University of Sydney. I'm extremely excited to start a new chapter in Sydney. At home and in life, I am respectful, easy going, super quiet and very clean.
Hi! I'm Mark and currently work as a corporate tax consultant in Perth. I will be moving over to Sydney on 10 February to study law full-time at the University of Sydney while working part-time at my current employer's Sydney office. Coming from a family of 6 kids which lived in a house with 3 bedrooms, I like to think I'm pretty good with to cohabitation and pulling my part in housekeeping. I enjoy travelling, hiking, learning languages and sometimes I buy wine that costs more than $10. I'm a pretty social guy so would prefer flatmates that enjoy some chitchat but also respect and value personal time-outs and boundaries.
I’m an Indian student who was born and raised in Dubai! I then moved around India for my studies and eventually ended p working for Google! I had to move about did rto work and then started living with flat mates all over. I’m really interactive at home and love to be social which is what makes me a fun flat mate!
Hi, I'm studying abroad for the first term of 2019 starting at Sydney Uni in mid-February. I'm a sociable person looking to embrace all on offer in Sydney during my stay. I love music, enjoy all sports (especially football and tennis) and like nights out with friends. Other than that I enjoy binging Netflix and can study quietly when necessary. I keep my area fairly tidy but am not demanding of my other flatmates regarding cleanliness. HMU if you think we match.
Hi! I’m a regional manager for a fashion label, I’m a bit of an early riser and tend to not get home before dinner. Love to relax when i’m at home, cook a healthy dinner and watch a bit of Netflix / read! I’m into fitness / train at F45, going to see movies (sometimes by myself hehehe) and catching up with mates on the weekend for some drinks at the local. Looking for some cool people who are chiller, like to have a drink occasionally but keep it quiet at home during the week. Happy to catch up but definitely like my space :) i’m a tidy and respectful person, always leave spaces clean, like to think pretty easy to live with and looking for something long term-ish.
Hi ! I am a French student and I will be in Sydney for 5 months from February 2019. I am studying International business. I am chill, organized and clean. I would be happy to have dinner or hang out occacionnaly. I do not smoke. I am looking for a furnished room near the University, Camperdown.
Hi, I am moving to Sydney for work in late January & am looking for a team-up. I am flexible with locations but would prefer to live somewhere close to transport in the Inner West or North Shore. During the week I am busy working full time and my weeknights are generally made up of playing sport, going to the gym, walking my puppies, having quiet nights in and the occasional social event. On the weekend, I am out and about, keeping active, having fun & enjoying life. I love to socialise with friends with a few drinks and a nice meal. I am very outgoing & friendly. I love to socialise but also need a little bit of down time as well. I am easy going, tidy, responsible, respectful & always pay bills on time and I would like to find a similar house mate or two. I am a non-smoker and I drink socially. Ideally I'd love to find a room mate who I can be friends with & occasionally share some food, drinks etc . Someone who is relaxed, fun, friendly & enjoys life. I love to be comfortable at home & would love someone who wants the same. I pretty much have all the furnishings and appliances needed for a house which is why I'm looking for a team-up. I also have 2 dogs, a husky and a labrador x kelpie. They are beautiful dogs, super friendly and very well-behaved. Feel free to send me a message if you're interested in a team up or if you have a room for me and my puppies :)
Hi! My name is Myrthe, I am 21 years old, 22 by the time I go to Sydney and I'm a Dutch student in Religious sciences. I'll be studying at the USYD for an exchange. Apart from my studies I like to be busy pretty much all the time, so it's either hanging out with friends or housemates, dancing, doing some other kind of sport or working. Since I'm from the Netherlands I will have to figure out everything when I get there, but preferably I'll find a nice restaurant to work at and a nice dance school (or a hockey team or just a gym). I like to believe that I'm generally a happy person, I like people, but I also like doing nothing or being on my own every now and then. I'm mainly looking for a place to live, but nice house mates would be a great bonus. At my house in Utrecht (where I study) we cook and eat together quite regularly and we're pretty close. Of course that's not a requirement. I would like hear from you and I'm looking forward to meeting you! Love, Myrthe
Hey! I am a German student studying International Business and come to Sydney for six months to do an internship in a consultancy. I am a very open, friendly, respectful and sociable person. When I'm not working, I enjoy going to the beach, doing gymnastics and meeting friends.
I'm a really relaxed, easy-going type of guy who enjoys to socialise but is also respectful of others and shared spaces. I am about to begin a pharmacy internship in Glebe so looking for a place to live close by. I'm just returning to Sydney after studying in Boston for the last half of 2018.
Heyy! Im a spanish exchange student. In february I will start an internship in University of Sydney in a lab (I study biomedical sciences). Im easy going, I like sports, films, hanging out! I am looking for a friendly and familiar household that would take me in for the next 6 months :)
Hiya, I am a 26yo female from Wollongong moving to Sydney for work. I will be working full time in Surry Hills so I'm looking for either a team-up to start a new house or a room in an established place with easy going, clean and social people. I thoroughly enjoy a glass of red (or 2) after work and enjoy getting to know my roommates as friends rather than just housemates. As a housemate I think all common areas should be kept clean, so I clean up after myself and expect my housemates to do the same. I love bike riding, ocean swimming and binge-watching tv series on Netflix (happy to increase account for the house, I also have spotify premium & a google home for those who love a bit of cheeky tech) I travel quite a bit for work so I am looking for a secure room with responsible and honest housemates and am ultimately looking to secure a room by Feb! Oh, I also have an incredibly adorable Moustache Parrot named Gizmo, he's a talking delight. I do understand however that not everyone likes birds so I am flexible with the days he spends inside/outside or his presence in communal areas. *flexible on location, just needs to be near public transport
I'm originally from Perth and moving over to Sydney to study law at the University of Sydney, when I was younger I lived in Manly so have always loved the city. I'm super laid back and love yoga, animals, AFL (massive footy fan) and the beach, as well as the busy city. I'm looking for affordable long term (steady) accommodation in close proximity to the university.
Hi! I'm Tim, I study engineering at UNSW and I'm just back from a month backpacking in Peru with my girlfriend. _ I love running, exploring book-cafes and going to a gig on the weekend. At uni I directed the cultural activities at college last year, although I'm now looking for a quieter scene (plus non-smoker). _ On my typical week days I would be travelling to uni 9-5 and on the weekends I love travelling to visit other cities or bushwalking. _ I'm looking for a homely place in an interesting suburb with balanced and mature housemates up for a dinner party from time to time, not an Airbnb. Cleanliness is important but also a friendly environment. A well-equipped kitchen or garden would be a big plus as well. _ I am going on exchange to Switzerland in September so looking for a long term stay, but I can be flexible. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope I'll be talking with you soon!
I'm Ashfaq, a 22 year old medical student at USYD. I've travelled a fair bit, and am currently living in perth after 4 years of living in New Zealand. I am moving to Sydney in January 2019 in order to study at USYD and am looking for a place to stay, and lovely people to meet :)
Hey I’m David, I’m originally from Ireland but have recently applied for permanent residency. I’m employed full time as a carpenter. I’m pretty tidy, like my own space but down for a drink or hang out every now and then. Cheers.
Hi I'm a Canadian/Australian moving back to Sydney to work at RPA. I've spent the last couple of years working on the Central Coast, but am looking forward to being back in the inner west. I love a house where everyone can do their own thing, but you can catch up in the evenings over a tea or wine and have the occasional feast together. I work quite long hours and have periods of night shifts during the year. I'm fairly quiet during the week, but I do enjoy a good brunch or dinner party and occasional night out. My free time is generally spent making delicious vegetarian food, exercising and getting outdoors, reading a good book or relaxing on the couch with netflix. As for home life, I'm quite clean and tidy and always happy to contribute to a household. I'm a nonsmoker and am pet free, but I love dogs. I'm looking to live with other professionals in the area and would prefer to move into an established share house.
Hey! I am an Indian, coming over to Sydney to pursue a postgraduate coursework at USYD. I've been into Digital Marketing, now a Professional Vedic Astrologer. I love to connect with like-minded people. I am a friendly person, love to have conversations over a cup of tea/coffee or drinks, make new friends, stay happy. Hygiene is of utmost importance to me, I like to keep things neat and tidy. I’m looking for a house with like-minded people around who don’t mind being friendly and connect the chord but also respect space when needed. I look forward to hearing from you!
