Hi everyone, I have a room for rent in my apartment in Kingston. I have only just moved in myself so am still in the process of organising some things but I'll give you a quick rundown. The room: It is a private room with your own personal bathroom. I am in the process of furnishing it and just need the bed. I am planning to get one, however if you already have one and would like to bring that or a few other small things I'm happy to discuss that too. The Apartment: It is a ground floor apartment in newly built modern apartment building. It was only completed last year so everything is brand new!! Fully furnished with modern appliances and white goods (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge etc.) If you do have a few things to add also we can try to arrange that too. There is a courtyard attached to the living room as well as a shared rooftop entertaining area. Split system heating and cooling. All bills will be split and if you're interested we can get unlimited internet and Foxtel/Netflix. The Location: Conveniently located only 5 mins walk away from the foreshore where there are delicious eateries and bars and about a 15 min walk to the supermarkets, shops and main area of Kingston. Its about a 10 min drive to Canberra centre. Super close to the parliamentary circle for those working in the APS! No pictures available at the moment, but coming soon!
The unfurnished room is sunny with huge windows and nicely proportioned for a large double or queen size bed. There is a large built-in wardrobe with plenty of storage space both in the room as well as in the apartment and a storage cage in the garage. The living area of the apartment is enormous with a large balcony leading off the lounge and a kitchen fitted with Gaggenau appliances. You would also have access to the garden, swimming pool and gym - it really is like living in a resort! You would be sharing a bathroom with one of us. Although there is no off-street parking with the room there are always plenty of parking spaces right outside with no limitations after 5 pm. The rent does not include bills (which we split three ways as they come in). We also share WiFi and have a fortnightly cleaner.
The Complex - The complex is located in the heart of the Kingston Foreshore, walking distance to Kingston shops, Manuka shops and the Parliamentary Triangle, close to Wentworth Ave bus stops. - There is a well equipped gym (treadmills, rower, bicycles, elliptical machine, weight machines, etc). - The complex also has a heated infinity pool overlooking the lake. The Apartment - Sizable room, fits queen bed and dresser and/or bookshelf - Large mirrored built-in wardrobe - Apartment is furnished but there is room for additional items - Large north facing courtyard - Central heating/aircon - Two secure, underground car spaces - Underground storage compartment - Bathroom to yourself
Enjoy the stunning vista view overlooking the glistening Lake Burley Griffin over the balcony, sipping an iced-cold beer. This charming apartment is nestled in Kingston's bustling foreshore precint adjacent the lake. It comes fully furnished (including the bedroom), reverse-cycle air conditioning to keep you cool in summer and warm in the chillier months. The room has direct access to the bathroom and direct balcony access. Other features: washing machine dishwasher gun-blazing oven A comfy couch that'll facilitate your reading/video game marathon.
I'm a 26 year old former teacher from Sydney who's entering the public service. I'm a very easygoing guy who isn't picky about anything and is happiest when everyone gets along. I've lived at home all my life, but I'm currently the oldest of 4 brothers at home and my parents work a lot, so I'm heavily involved in house duties such as washing up, cooking for everyone, cleaning etc so I don't shirk away from keeping a house tidy! I'm a sociable guy who's keen to make friends with his housemates and bond over whatever activities they like, especially the brunch kind, but I also do like my down time chilling out with Netflix, playing some Playstation or reading up pretty much anything on the net. I watch and play a whole heaps of sports, so if you're particularly keen on basketball, any form of footy or soccer, you can be sure I'll slot in well! I also come from a Lebanese household so my mum plans on sending me back with a whole heap of food every so often, so if you like Leb cuisine, everybody will be happy for days!
Hi all! I am moving to Canberra from Melbourne in February to take up a graduate role in Barton. I love going out for food/drinks, exploring the city, going to the gym, or having chilled nights in at home. I'm very organised and clean, love a bit of cooking at home sometimes and just relaxing on the couch. I'm super excited about moving to Canberra, so would love to live with someone who knows the area well and can show me some cool places!! I am looking for a place to share with 1-2 other people that is new and close to either the City or to Barton. I would prefer to have an ensuite bathroom or my own bathroom. I have no pets, and I don't smoke. Please let me know if I would suit your place!! Caitlin :)
Recent uni grad, moving to Canberra for a new job. Looking for a place to call home. Like to stay at home just as much as I like to go out. I have a few friends in Canberra but will be looking to make more and would like a place where it's ok to have them over for a drink or a BBQ (and for you to join us).
I'm from Perth moving to Canberra for a grad program! I love to cook and am a very clean person. I like my privacy and hoping for a roommate who is the same but loves a drink or three on the weekend. I'll be working full time and would like to find a cool netball team! I like listening to music, bike riding, and Netflix binges.

Hello! I'm a Melbournian moving to Canberra late January for an APS Graduate position. I'm friendly, open minded and really easy to get along with. I'm also very capable in keeping things neat and respecting personal space. I enjoy hanging out and exploring new places to eat, drink and see and would love to find someone to explore Canberra with. Happy to also do my own thing every now and then! Feel free to message me for a chat :)
I'm easy-going and friendly. I'm used to living with others and am respectful of people's space - I'm happy to catch up for a chat, or do my own thing. I work for an airline, so I'm occasionally away overnight, and work odd hours from time to time. I tend to keep busy with work, exercise, and the occasional catch up with friends. I also love being outdoors, planning new adventures and (as I'm relatively new to Canberra) exploring the best of what the city has to offer.
Happy, down to earth and open minded - ideally I'd like to find a place with pets. I'm 25 and have lived in share houses since I was 18 so am well accustomed to shared living and understand the importance of communication and being respectful of fellow housemates. I am currently working 4 days a week at the Clean Energy Regulator while studying part-time at the ANU. If you'd like to know anything else feel free to ask.
At home I love to read non fiction, drink tea, and listen to house, indie, and jazz. I enjoy chats about culture and sharing war stories about travel. Currently trying to learn Portuguese. On weekends I wash, shop, market, cafe, cook, and bar while on weekdays I like to stay out playing soccer or pursuing other hobbies. Working full time away from home, I will occasionally visit hometown Melbourne and go on trips. Spending (too) much of my time tottering around in the kitchen and drinking hot beverages, I like to keep things tidy and clean. I appreciate housemates that treat communal areas the same way. I'm not looking for the perfect fit, just another straight-talker who is equally considerate.. and vaguely shares one of the above interests :)
Having signed my life away for the next 3-4 years to do a PhD at the ANU I am looking for a place closer to uni and work. I am easy going and always up for a bit of a laugh, I also like to keep busy and do fitness (which is lucky as I am a big fan of cheese and wine). Having spent long periods of time living in Cambodian and Malagasy jungles (yes jungles) I am pretty easy to please when I comes to living but I really don't enjoy shivering my way through Canberra winters. Perks of living with me include: 1) Having access to an impressive activewear collection. 2) Visits from an adorable dog. 3) No longer having to worry about being the most embarrassing housemate. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate. I have just moved from Brisbane to Canberra, and am looking for accommodation. I would preferably like to move into a place as soon as possible. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
I'm a public service worker who just finished my graduate program last year who's looking for a temporary place to stay for a few months! I'm usually at work but when home I'm nice, tidy and quiet.
I'm a recent ANU graduate who now has a graduate job in Canberra. I love to learn, am easy to get along with, respectful and tidy. I'm particularly interested in learning Mandarin, so living in a house with native mandarin speakers would be a huge bonus. My hobbies include running/exercise, soccer, reading, watching movies occasionally, learning about random stuff, travelling. I'm not much of a partygoer, however, I enjoy socialising and meeting new people.
Hey guys, My partner and I are looking for accommodation from around mid february. I'm Laearna, a 24 yr old mechanical engineer relocating for work and Will is a 24 yr old naval architect who i am dragging along with me. He who works remotely for a company in NZ. We are friendly people who like to laugh, get outdoors for adventures, spend nights out with friends or stay in with a drink cooking up something delicious. We are clean, respectful and easygoing housemates and have both lived together and in share houses before. We would ideally like to team up with another couple or some friends and find a place to lease together but would also happily slip into an existing share house if someone was willing to take us. Please get in touch if you think we would get along :)
Originally from the Gold Coast, I'm moving to Canberra to start a job. Clean, organised and friendly. I love to cook, run, garden and read in my spare time. Enjoy some shared meals but also like my own space and privacy. Non-smoker, active and a full time worker, I am looking to find other roommates who are similar.
I am a student from the University of Queensland looking for a place to stay during a one month internship in Canberra. I am originally from the UK, but doing a Bachelors Degree in Brisbane. I'm an easy-going and tidy individual, who loves to get out and explore the city that I'm in!
I am a full-time Journalist and moving from Sydney to Canberra to work as the company's political correspondent. I am clean, neat and tidy. I am quiet and generally like to keep to myself, but love to hang out and have a chat after work from time-to-time. I have never lived in Canberra before, so am also hoping to make new friends. I am hoping to move ASAP. Although I have listed my moving date as the 19th of January - this is flexible. As I live in Sydney, I am happy to Face Time or Skype, but will be happy to come down to look at the room if I have others lined up on the same day to make the travel worth-while.
Hey, I'm a 24-year-old professional looking to move into a friendly place in the inner south or inner north of Canberra. I'm a Canberra native, currently working in the media industry in Griffith. I'm pretty laid back, enjoy cooking and and having a laugh or a drink or two with my housemates. I'm respectful of other people's space and always clean up after myself. I have a couple of other commitments outside of work so will often be out of the house. Interests include theatre, reading, writing and binging on Netflix. If you're looking for a young, easy-going housemate, hit me up!
I am independent and like a clean and tidy place. I'll buy food and am happy to share. Im fun and a positive person, not a party animal anymore time has caught up with me lol. I'm trying to save for a deposit so this accomodation will assist with achieving that goal much quicker.
I am a hardworking professional who is clean and social. In my spare time I enjoy chatting with others with a glass of wine in hand, watching TV or trying to motivate myself to complete my Masters degree. Due to Personal circumstances, I will only be around a few days a week.
Hey, I'm a 25 year old working professional. I moved to Canberra in January 2015, but have been living overseas for work for the past six months. I'm pretty laid-back, and am respectful of peoples' personal space and privacy. I'm equally happy to do my own thing or share a meal/glass of wine/beer after a long day. Let me know if you would like to catch-up to see if we are compatible as flatmates! Cheers, Hamish
Hey there! I'm Grace and I'm about to leave my home town Melbourne for the capital city. Currently homeless so here I am...I am about to start a new job in the APS and am moving up in a few weeks. My move in date is flexible, but would be sometime in February. I am not sure what length of lease etc I'm looking for but open to different options. Outside of work I like to find great brunch spots and great coffee, go to the gym, relax, go on Netflix binges and so on. I'm a low key kind of person especially during the working week so would love some people to relax at home with who also won't mind if I chill out in my room alone sometimes. I am a clean and tidy person and am looking forward to making a new home in Canberra. I would be open to furnished or unfurnished options. I'm a pretty relaxed house mate, I'd love to make some new friends so let me know if all of that works for you and you have a room or need a housemate to find a place with :)
I'm a 32 y/o male working in the public service. I'm pretty chill, enjoy a beer and some banter, not a huge fan of winter (who is?), tidy, clean and dot have much stuff (including furniture). Don't have pets and don't smoke.
