We’re two professional and easy going guys (one mid 20s the other early 30s) looking for someone to move into the third bedroom that has become available. We’re both fairly active (including some early morning wake ups) but also enjoy relaxing, whether that be watching sport or chatting over a drink. The room will be available from Saturday 12 November and you will need to complete a rental application form for the agent and be willing to go on the lease. The apartment is located on Printers Way (directly across from Norgrove Park), ground floor with direct street access and is no more than a few minutes stroll from Kingston Foreshore and no more than 10 minutes up to the Kingston shops. With everything going on down at the Foreshore (and with what’s to come) you’re definitely in an ideal location. The room is sizeable (for Canberra standards) with three built-in robes and you’ll be sharing the main bathroom with one other. The living area is huge with a decent size kitchen (plenty of cupboard space) and a big courtyard with direct street access. There is plenty of street parking for your car as well – no undercover parking is available. The apartment, apart from your bedroom, is already furnished. As for the cost, the room is currently $220 per week ($955.95 per calendar month) and Foxtel/internet is $55 per month. Utilities (gas/power) are averaging around $200 per quarter (combined). Rental bond will be $880.
Queen sized bedroom available in lovely apartment in Kingston with two female housemates. Room is unfurnished but fits queen bed, side tables and dresser and comes with built in robe. Shared bathroom with one other person and additional spare toilet. Third housemate has her own room and bathroom. Apartment is in great spot opposite Norgrove Park, 1 minute walk to the foreshore, 5 minute walk to Kingston shops and well located for public transport. Ample street parking available. Approx 3 months available on the lease (March 2017), extension probably available if you want. Polished floorboards Dishwasher Gas appliances Bathroom with bath tub Separate toilet Built-in Robes Reverse cycle AC
Hi Guys, A Fantastic room has become available in the heart of the foreshore. We're in a 3 bedroom, 3 storey townhouse a minutes walk from all the action. The Room will be unfurnished but comfortably fits a a queen bed. You'll have floor to ceiling built in mirrored wardrobes and will share the 2nd floor and bathroom with Dan. There's always street parking. Gas and Electricity are split between 3 as is the internet and the cleaner. About us...Dan is new to Canberra working in the public sector, I work in sales - usually 6 days a week and Tristan is also at work 6 days. We do also have a 12 month old Bengal Cat - Oscar. Generally we eat together - either Takeaway or a 2 for 1 deal at the pub. We're no culinary genius' but occasionally have a crack at cooking...It can be a pretty social house but has plenty of room for privacy. The Kitchen, Dining and lounge are ground floor with 2 huge courtyards and a backyard that spills onto a park. It has 2 1/2 bathrooms (1 full, 1 ensuite, and 1 separate toilet). Including a guest bathroom on the ground floor giving plenty of privacy upstairs.
Hi there! Looking out for a nice place to live in Canberra towards the end of the year or start of next year. I'll be starting a new job at the Treasury as a policy analyst in February. The house ideally needs to be semi or fully furnished with a parking spot for my car (can be off-street). The room must be well-lit, and can be furnished or unfurnished. I'm a positive, friendly and honest person. I like reading, travelling, and yoga, and also like to keep active by swimming and running. I'd also like to get into cycling, and I'm looking forward to some trips to the snow! My main interests are political economics and international development. I'm quite an easy-going person to live with, and I like to keep things clean and tidy. My partner is living in Adelaide and would occasionally come and visit every 1-2 months on the weekend, so I need to live with housemates who are relaxed in that regard. We don't tend to hang around the house anyway. I'm looking for housemates who I can occasionally spend time with in the evenings and on the weekends. Ideally, my housemates would enjoy having a good chat about the world, and have a good sense of humour. Cleanliness is a must. Please shoot me an e-mail if you have something suitable.
Alicia: I am relaxed but do love to chat after a day's work, I am a housemate who is friendly and easygoing at the same time. I will respect your privacy but hope to be on friendly terms with my housemates. I am enthusiastic about good coffee, bike riding, seeing live music and reading. I also have a partner, Tom, who will be visiting for a bit and then living with me after I move to Canberra. He also loves coffee and bike riding and can play the guitar quite well. Tom loves any beer that is brown/strong and purchasing LPs for his record player. He is a vegetarian, but i'm not and will eat almost anything. We will both be full-time professionals who want to make the most of our time in Canberra with weekend trips and socialising. Both of us have been living with 3 other flatmates in Melbourne, with a cleaning roster that we stick to.
I'm a first year ANU student who is looking for a new place to stay. I'm respectful and will always keep common areas clean. I love to watch movies and tv shows but am also a lover of books. I take my studies pretty seriously so when I have assignments I will pretty much be locked up in my room procrastinating. However, other than that I am quite sociable and enjoy a good chat with my roommates. I'm a pretty chill person and not much really gets to me that easily. Did I mention my love of animals? I seriously love animals. I had two dogs, a cat, a couple turtles, a hamster... In other words, I have no problems with pets. Also, I grew up in a bunch of different places (Malaysia and Japan just to name a couple) so I'm also really into traveling and learning about new cultures. Actually I myself am half Japanese and Australian so culture is one of my "things" I guess. If you're a friendly, inviting person who is open to living with a laid back person like me, please don't hesitate to contact me because I think we'd make perfect housemates!
Ideally looking to move start of Febuary in the Woden/Weston Creek area. Ideally have my own bathroom but not essential. Please message me with any rooms you have going x
Hey, I'm Sasha. Looking to rent a room with ensuite or start a share house somewhere in the inner north or south, preferably in an apartment. Easygoing and friendly, with an empathetic personality. Open-minded and nonjudgmental. INFP on the Myers-Briggs. I enjoy helping others and have been told that I am too nice for my own good. Enjoy meeting new people and socialising but also appreciate alone time. I work full time and studying Software Development at UC. I was born in Russia but moved to Australia as a toddler and grew up in Canberra. Enjoy a neat household and actively participate in household chores. Have a few hard drives worth of HD movies and TV shows. Enjoy reading books and listen to a lot or different music. I am a smoker but never smoke inside, and respectful of others when I am having a smoke. Enjoy cooking and happy to cook for household once in a while. Love animals so if you have a pet thats a bonus. I am one of the top rated Uber drivers in Canberra (4.9+ with just under 2000 trips) with many positive, and some hilarious, comments reflecting my personality and caring nature. This means housemates get free trips whenever I’m available but also means I would need to park my car somewhere, preferably undercover but happy with street/off-street parking as long as no chance of a fine. Hope to hear from you soon.
I have a good sense of humour, and generally passionate about local businesses particularly food and drink. I'm a great listener and I know when to chat and when to keep to myself. I love challenging myself with new experiences... I'm currently taking tango lessons which is a hoot I work for a local wine company as a wine rep. You'll find me as a regular stallholder at the Old Bus Depot Markets which means I come home with fresh produce every week! Mainly blueberry bagels and various pastries! And obviously copious amounts of fine wine and spirits if you're into that sort of thing. I also have two other jobs in and around Kingston. One where I'm mixing cocktails at Polit Bar and another making coffees at Penny University cafe. If you have any favourite recipes I'm always keen to learn!
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but pretty relaxed person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also love to cook and would be open to the occasional shared meal. As a newcomer to Canberra, I'll be keen for a chat over a beer and game for adventures in the CBD or bushland. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. You can expect me to be courteous and friendly :) I am looking for two or three relaxed housemates who are happy for a chat. I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
Full-time in IT, recently job transferred from Melbourne to Canberra. Italian background, so food is a passion combined with good family values. Wide interest in hobbies and enjoy listening to everyone's stories! Easy going, Friendly, Respectful, Social, Tidy and responsible about rent and bills. Always happy to help about the house and even up for random/spur-moment adventures.
Hi! I'm Sacha. I start my graduate job in Consulting early Feb 2017 so endeavour to move into a place by late January. Hoping to find a mature, down to earth, and easy going individual to live with. I am hoping to make the move with my lovely golden retriever. She is 5 years old and has excellent interpersonal skills! As far as housemates go, I am very easy going, organised and enjoy socialising. I love living an active lifestyle in my spare time and wouldn't mind someone who therefore mirrors my energetic spirit.
A little lowdown about me! I'm 26, easy going, friendly and a bit funny. Originally from Newcastle, England, I've been living in Australia since 2014. I've travelled the East Coast and lived in the outback for 16 months, but planted my roots in Canberra since February where I've been lucky enough to be sponsored as a permanent resident. For work, I spend my days entertaining the youth of today in early childhood education. Socialising and road trips are two things that make me very happy. My friendship circle here is so diverse but it's great and we're always keen to expand! I do enjoy a cup of tea in the mornings so as long as we have a kettle I'll be happy. I'm a pretty clean person and I would expect whoever I'm living with to have the same respect in regards to keeping a place tidy. I think communication plays a huge role in a house share, I feel that by living in a shared house you need to be open and honest about any issues that may arise to make living a happy life even easier :) I'm a socialiable and pretty happy person so I would love to live with someone who isn't just hiding in their room all the time. However, I won't be clawing your door down for company as I still enjoy to just chill on my own sometimes, too. I'm pretty laid back, but as I work in childcare I have 0 tolerance towards hard drugs being used in the house or around me. However, if it's the weekend I'm always keen for a little drink or two. If you think you've got the perfect place just send me a quick little message and we can get something arranged! I have all my own furniture, too, so pretty much happy to move in hopefully within a week or two of viewing and agreeing upon the place :)
I currently work full time as an Insurance Adviser and have lived in Canberra my whole life. I am easy going and always up for a laugh but also very much enjoy my own company. I have a pretty low key Mon - Fri routine, but on the weekend am always keen to be social and spontaneous. I am far from OCD but do like common areas to be tidy. I come with a dog, a 10 year old maltese x shihtzu who loves attention and cuddles.
Looking to see what currently available and if there are some people out there roughly around my age looking for a room mate! Okay to move out at any time, just trying to find the right people to live with. Prefer to have the master bedroom with ensuite if possible as I don't particularly like sharing bathrooms which comes from previous times with room mates being grubs (the worst!) Not looking to live too far away from the city or Belconnen and not looking to live on the Southside either, inner south is okay but nothing further (sorry peeps) I work full time as a PA and enjoy sports, online gaming, music, gigs, hanging out at home and good food and drink! I am in a relationship and would like to live together but I know not all places have space for couples but keen to see what's available if not that's totally cool! Please feel free to message me if I suit what you are looking for in a flat mate :)
Social, friendly professional newish to Canberra originally from Sydney, like to keep fit and healthy. Usually keep busy with work/gym/study but also like to go out to take the edge off :) Happy to do my own thing or have dinners/drinks together Cheers
I'm 26, male and a chartered accountant that also enjoys music and socialising. I own a gym in Fyshwick and compete in powerlifting. I'm easy to get along with, rarely home during the week as my job and gym take up a lot of my time. Pretty tidy and live simply.
I am female professional in early 30's moving to Canberra for work around second week of November . I am an outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people and making friends. But I also respect people's privacy and personal space. I like to keep things clean and organized . I am looking for a place to share with people who are easy going and fun to live with.
Hey all, I am a pretty going person. Not overly fussed about the noise. I do my fare share of the cleaning and maintenance in the house. Moved to Canberra to study at the ANU. I am working part-time at the ANU as well. Originally an expat kid, grew up in Japan and lived all over Asia/Australia. Currently learning Arabic, but can speak few other languages as well. I love the outdoors, and I go hiking almost every second weekend. I don't mind pets, so that's a non-issue for me. Send me a message if you have place. Cheers

I'm usually in Canberra Mon - Fri only and back home over the weekends. I'm clean, self-sufficient, enjoy my runs around the lake or up Mt Ainslie (if I get the time!), don't mind a drink or two, happy to socialise or keep to myself, and generally easy going.
