We’re two professional and easy going guys (one mid 20s the other early 30s) looking for someone to move into the third bedroom that has become available. We’re both fairly active (including some early morning wake ups) but also enjoy relaxing, whether that be watching sport or chatting over a drink. About me: I am looking for a place to rent in the Kingston area. I am a professional female working in Belconnen. It's a bit of a drive to work each day, but I think Kingston/Barton is the best part of Canberra- you just can't beat the lifestyle. Fun fact- I live in Brisbane and Canberra at the same time. I spend my weekends in Brisbane (with the occasional exception where I'll stay in Canberra), and work in Canberra during the week. I have been flying to Canberra every week for two years, and I love it here. After work, I like to meet up with friends and colleagues for dinner a couple of nights a week. Other than that, I like to hang out with my housemates and watch Netflix/eat delicious food. I am looking for somewhere clean, quiet, and secure to share with a mature, trustworthy housemate or housemates. I have my own bedroom furniture. A car space and access to a gym is preferable.
Hi everyone! A bit about me... I recently moved to Canberra after living overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years studying then working with a human rights NGO. I'm originally from Adelaide, but don’t hold that against me! I work in Federal Government, and will be moving back into a humanitarian role in government very soon. I'm very active, and love being outdoors - playing sport, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding (not well haha). Looking forward to making the most of Canberra’s outdoor scene this summer! I'm a pretty relaxed and outgoing kind of guy, enjoy a drink or two at the pub or over a BBQ or movie night at home but I’m definitely not a party animal. As I’m newish to Canberra, I’m keen to live in a house that feels more like a home. In that regard, I'm looking to start a small but social share house with people who are keen to hang out and socialise, but who are also considerate, and respectful of each other's privacy. I'm ideally looking for either a 2 or 3 bedroom place, with an ensuite bedroom that I could take. I’ve got a few bits and pieces of furniture - though anyone in possession of a fridge or washing machine will be highly regarded! ☺ Anyway, give me a shout if you think I'd be a good fit for your place, or if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat! Cheers, Trystan
I'm a 23 year old who has just relocated to Canberra to start full-time work with the public service and am looking for somewhere to live, short or long term. I really don't mind. I'll tell you a little about myself. I especially enjoy time at the the beach and exercise when I can, cooking, sports and techy stuff are also my hobbies. I consider myself to be a clean and considerate person. I'm quite a social guy and enjoy a good chat and the occasional bev. However can respect anyone's privacy and enjoy my time spent alone too. I'm also likely to travel often as I have family on the North Coast and Northern NSW. I often have a busy lifestyle, as most would in Canberra I assume. I'm easy going, love to meet new people and share experiences. I have had more than at-least 5 years in house sharing.
Hi I'm Ori, I'm been living in Canberra for little while and looking for a new place. I'm a clean, neat and tidy person, great cook and non-smoker with a professional full time job and can move in straight away. I'm looking for a nice place with great people. Really social and outgoing, I would love to live with similar people who might watch a movie together sometimes or share a glass of wine in the evenings occasionally! Message me on here and I'll get back to you.
I'm Elson, 27, from Taiwan, and gonna be ANU student from next semester. Now, I'm holding Working Holiday VISA for being familiar with Canberra in advanced, also I have a very stable PT job just right in Canberra Centre. I'm very easy going. Mostly, I would only play guitar and watch street dance video while being at home. Please inbox me if you think I could be a good member in your house.
Moving to Canberra October end/First week November. Full time professional working with a Government Department. Prefer either South Canberra or Civic and surrounding as I will be working in Forrest. Usually I spend my time playing sport, catching up with friends over drinks or just chill at home watching TV or playing games. I like to keep the place neat and tidy and would like to find someone similar. I will have my car with me so need a car space.
I'm a 26yr old Female and will be studying my Masters part-time and working full-time so will be quite busy during the week, but on the weekends I enjoy socialising with friends or just staying in and relaxing over a glass of wine. I'm super easy to get along with and am a pretty relaxed person in nature.
After a great couple of years in my current sharehouse my friends are moving interstate and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I work full-time and play sport after work so I'm relatively busy but always happy to share a meal or just hang out. What I lack in time to devote to the house I make up for in killer puns and a Netflix subscription I'm happy to share. I can also bring a Gumtree-chic couch for the house (if there's room) and a thriving basil plant. I'm looking to move in late November. Send me a message and we can see if we're future housemates!
My name is Ahmed, I'm 31 years old man. I work as an assistant lecturer at my home University in Egypt. In the same time I'm an international PhD student at ANU, I study molecular biology at JCSMR, this is the first semester for me at ANU and I have to start as soon as possible. I will come to Australia on Saturday 8th Oct. and I'm in a bad need for accommodation. I'm very quiet, clean, non smoking and tidy person. I'd be very pleased if you agree to rent me your room for 2 months starting as soon as possible. If you agree, I can ask a friend of mine to meet you and see the room (if mandatory) or we can have a skype meeting
Hi there, I'm looking to move in to a share house where I could rent a large bedroom with either an ensuite or a private bathroom. I love all animals and would love to live with someone who has pets, except cats (I'm allergic) I'm a vegan and am passionate about animal rights so I would love to move into a house with someone who shares similar views to me but this isn't a must, as long as cooking isn't a shared responsibility I do not mind living with people who eat meat at all. I like to think of myself as respectful, honest and clean housemate, I'm a non-smoker and rarely a social drinker. I work full time in the Public Service and when I'm not working I like to spend time with family and friends, watch Netflix, and play Xbox. If this sounds you have anything suitable for me please contact me and we can discuss things further :)
Hello! I'm a young professional from Sydney moving to Canberra for work in November this year. I'm friendly, tidy, and respectful of personal space. I'm an avid world traveller, love watching John Oliver videos, and am a fan of wine and cheese. What I am looking for is a place (either with housemates or by myself) close to Barton. Feel free to contact me if you think your listing is one I'd be interested in! My desired dates are 12 Nov to 4 Feb (can be flexible).
Looking to see what currently available and if there are some people out there roughly around my age looking for a room mate! Okay to move out at any time, just trying to find the right people to live with :) Not looking to live too far away from the city or Belconnen and not looking to live on the Southside either (sorry peeps) I work full time as a PA and enjoy sports, online gaming, music, gigs, hanging out at home and good food and drink! Please feel free to message me if I suit what you are looking for in a flat mate :)
Hi I'm Nat I'm a law student from Brisbane but am graduating and moving to Canberra on Oct 25 for an Internship .I've stayed in Share Houses before and I really like it and enjoy being in other people's company. I'm easy to get a long with and clean up after myself . My internship is full time so I won't be around all that much but when I am more than happy to hang out. I don't know anyone in Canberra so living with some nice, fun people will be a bonus :)
Howdy, IT professional, from Brisbane, FIFO, looking for good house to share. Am house trained and a happy chappie. Enjoy getting down to the beach and camping (Tathra, Bermagui) on the weekends I don't go home. Long term contract, enjoys social time and also respectful and enjoys quiet times as well.
We're a friendly couple moving to Canberra from Melbourne (Brunswick) for work opportunities. Ideally we're looking for a room with an ensuite in a share house with 3-4 bedrooms but would consider other options. We're keen on a relatively social home environment e.g. sharing occasional meals or a couple of drinks with whoever is around. But we're pretty well-behaved during the week and limit more raucous behaviour to the pub. Doug is an open-minded kiwi that's always up for a chat. He's about to begin a 12 month philosophy post-doc on conscientious objection. He likes surreal and absurd conversations/humour (e.g. Paul Foot), going to gigs, camping, hiking, futsal, beers in the sun watching cricket... Nina is about to start work with the Murray Darling Basin Authority. She's outgoing and environmentally-minded (without being preachy) and she's also into camping, hiking, music festivals, and anything whimsical.
Recent transplant to Canberra from the South Coast. Working full-time and studying postgrad part-time I keep pretty busy, but always find time to enjoy life. Avid adventurer who enjoys fitness, hiking, kayaking and anything outdoors. I'm extremely socialable so hoping for like minded housemates who enjoy life.
Hi! 😊 I am Leah, an overseas intern from the Philippines. I am a culinary student. I am shy but quite sociable also. Hobbies.. I like reading, listening to music and eating. 😊 I am quite independent. I look forward hearing from possible flatmate/s. Have an awesome day ahead! 😊
I'm a librarian in my 30s, originally from Melbourne. I've spent the last couple of years working overseas in the international development sector, and have now just moved to Canberra to seek fame and glory in the public service. I'm also quite creative - I write music and spoken word and occasionally perform it, and like going to literary and fringe festivals. I often go swing dancing around town, and also enjoy chats and cups of tea on the couch when I'm at home - but, of course, respect people's need for alone time too! My favourite share houses in the past have been when living with other creative / artistic people - I do like to cohabit with people who are sociable with some sense of community involvement. That said, I'm not a huge party animal - I prefer my partying to be a little more low-key. Finally, I'm ideally looking for something in the inner-suburbs - walking or cycling distance from the National Library - though I'm not averse to living farther afield with the right people - as long as the bus line is nearby!
I'm a quiet housemate who is considerate of others. I like to be social too and catch up with friends. I've shared with various house mates over the years and work to get along with each housemate.
I am 20yrs old and am a full time public servant for Defence. I am originally from Brisbane but moved down to Canberra for work 3yrs ago. I have been living with my sister for the past 3 yrs but now would like to move out into a share house. I love all sports especially rugby, touch footy and cricket. I am a very relaxed guy and very easy to get along with. Looking for a place to move into early November.
I'm a 26 year old working full time Monday-Friday looking for a new place to live in the ACT. I'm friendly and love to have a chat with housemates over drinks/dinner or even going out for social activities but at the same time I respect that everyone needs their space and privacy. I keep things clean and tidy (without being too over the top) and all rent and bills paid on time. I like to keep a relaxed and happy vibe at home - I have no problem at all with visitors but prefer to not be in a 'party' house. After work during the week I like to just chill out with dinner, a glass of wine and some music - I'm not much of a TV watcher myself but it doesn't bother me if others are. Sometimes I will watch a series or movie on Netflix instead :-P I enjoy cooking at home and also going out somewhere for a good feed. I have no pets of my own but I am more than happy to live in a place with pets. I've lived in a few sharehouses previously, I'm happy to share chores/housework and I'm pretty conscious of keeping things easy and enjoyable for everyone :) If you think I might be a good fit for your home or even have any questions, please get in touch :)
Just your average 20 year old girl who's a little bit too inlove with her cat. Love time alone and privacy but also some good banter and food. Looking for somewhere who understand working in hospo and don't care too much about my hit and miss hours!
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but not overly boisterous person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also enjoy a good chat over tea or beer. As a newcomer to Melbourne, I'll be keen to hangout, and explore the area/nightlife. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. I am looking for two or three housemates (preferably female). I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
Hi My name is Thibault and I am a French student. I have been in canberra for 4 months so far and I am starting a PhD in physics at the ANU in october. I already live in a sharehouse right now but the lease is ending so I need to find a new place. I have been living with flatmates for the last 3 years so I am used to it. I am easy to live with and clean (without being a cleanliness freak). I am often working late during the week, so you may not see me a lot but I like spending some time with my flatmates during the week-end. I don't have pets but I like animals. I don't smoke but I used to, so it's not a problem for me if you do. Finally I am a musician (guitar and drums) and I love jamming session so I would love to move in with other musicians.
I am moving to Canberra from Perth in the week beginning 7 November 2016, so happy to move in any time from then (flexible as I will be booking short-term accommodation for when I arrive). I am a 21 year old accountant (will be working in the CBD) - I have lived in Perth nearly my whole life. My interests include cooking and swimming, and generally spending time in the outdoors. I am friendly and approachable around the house but am also able to provide my housemates with space (we all need it!) at times. Please let me know if you think I'd be a fit for your house!
Moving from Sydney to Canberra for full time work (mon-fri) in january. I'm an outgoing person who enjoys hanging out with friends, going out, outdoor activities and gym on occasion. Always up to do new things and meeting new people. I'm described as happy and bubbly person. Although I'm pretty easy going and chilled, I'm also a respectful person who is considerate of other people's belongings and personal space. In terms of living with, i'm not a messy person and will definitely keep the place clean. As long as everyone does their part i'm happy. I'm also not noisy and definitely enjoy my down time as well. Simply looking for some nice, tidy and chill people to share a place with.
I'm an undergraduate Education student from Brisbane. I'll be in Canberra for 3 months over the summer on an internship. I've been share housing for 3 years in a range of places - from the very large (7 people - was quite the experience) to smaller arrangements. I'm friendly, easygoing and open to social or quiet share houses. I always clean up after myself, respect common areas and my housemate's privacy. I enjoy cooking, sightseeing, reading and volunteering. Feel free to drop me a line if you're looking for a team up!
