Hi! I'm Nic, and I come as a package deal with my 4 yr old rescued Alaskan Malamute, Moose. I am a laid back musician in two bands, currently working casual jobs to save money to pursue this further. I enjoy equestrian activities and anything horse-related, training animals, archery, jousting, guitar and flute (I am considerate of noise levels and can use headphones when needed). I'm friendly and get along with everyone, but clean and keep to myself. Looking for housemates that are chilled out, ideally active and enjoy the outdoors, and of course, will enjoy the company of a big, cuddly dog. Moose is super friendly, loves everybody, and is well mannered, desexed, flea/worm treated, house trained, doesn't bark or chew, but he will howl along with ambulances if he hears them! He's very gentle and tolerant of kids, cats, chickens and other pets but not always with other dogs. He is fine to be partially an outdoor dog in the cooler months, but he is so social and intelligent it would be akin to cruelty to keep him alone outside all the time so he must be allowed to come indoors regularly. He does shed, but I own a very high powered vacuum cleaner to combat this as well as daily grooming. Air conditioning is extremely highly valued in Summer as we both suffer greatly in the heat. Budget and move date is flexible, and I am willing to pay more for the right place. I am very experienced with all animals (particularly horses) and am a good gardener, so I would be very willing to do work on the property for a reduction in rent, if applicable, by pre-determined arrangement. This includes cleaning or child minding. Location is flexible as I have my own transport, but anything in the Brisbane suburbs/outer Brisbane, though Northside is preferred. Semi- rural areas are fine. Moose is not an escape artist or a jumper, but property must be fenced. I can supply some temp fencing if partially fenced. Both downstairs ( main living area) bedrooms have separate entries, own seperate bathroom, security screens, and some furniture - a cupboard in one ( which can be moved) and fixed open shelves with hanger rod in the other. Share kitchen and lounge ( I have seperate room with ensuite at other end of house). The home is 3 levels, on two hectares of private bushland, on the South Pine River- 7-8 minutes from Samford village, 5 minutes from great coffee. The house has huge gardens with maintenance included, and a lower outdoor entertaining area. Set between the South Pine river and Mount Glorious. Rooms get good light, though sheltered from the afternoon sun. The house is very energy efficient with good ventilation so no aircon needed. Gas stove, electric oven, large electric heat pump hot water service. The house is on a septic system and tank water (two very large in ground water tanks) Fireplaces! rivers, mountains! (Sorry lease terms were no dogs as no fencing, and smoking is only allowed outside the house). Very secure home, in a unique quiet relaxed setting.

Located in Eatons Hill and positioned on acreage I have available 4 bedrooms. Each room has a digital security lock to ensure maximum privacy. There is a large common room downstairs with split system air-conditioning, entertainment area and gymnasium. Right outside is a giant brand new pool that has been built into the hillside of the property which will always be available upon request. As there are already animals on the property I can not accept anymore besides small reptiles or fish that can be kept in your room. All the bills (water, electricity and unlimited Wi-Fi) is included in the rental amount. Always happy for tenants to have people over during the day and the occasional piss up as long as I am made aware to notify other tenants. I am extremely easy going and will remain that way as long as our initial agreement upon commencing tenancy is followed. If you have a drug, alcohol or gambling addiction or a history of thieving you will not last long here so please don't waste your own time. Although the property is situated on a quite block we are still very close to everything including the EH which is just up the road. There are multiple bathrooms located both up and downstairs in the house which are paired of to their closest rooms. I am looking for fun friendly people with a positive outlook on life that are employed and have a great deal of integrity. The house is located in a beautiful leafy cul de sac in a quiet acreage neighbourhood so would really suit someone who enjoys a tranquil surround. There is a pool and a huge deck for entertaining or relaxing. The bedroom is a good size and the bathroom is shared with one other person. There are also two large living areas with fireplaces so plenty of room to do your own thing. Current housemates are Jack, Cathi and Louise. I live away from the house but just pop in and out to do pool and yard maintenance. Everyone gets on really well and the house has a relaxed atmosphere. It also has 3 toilets, and indoor laundry, a private garage (would be 1 space for your car). There is a large garden, and a vege patch. I also have a cat, Frankie, that is an indoor/outdoor cat. I would consider pets but it would depend on the animal. The house is in a very safe and friendly neighbourhood. Close to mountain biking tracks, cycling tracks, tennis courts, walking tracks and bushland. The train station is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive, There is also a supermarket, pharmacy, gym, and a few takeaway/cafes close by.
Bushland retreat! My husband and I are in our 20's and have recently bought a large 4 bedroom (with potential 5th bedroom). Our house is very spacious with a huge rumpus area downstairs. We have 1 - 2 rooms available. The bathroom upstairs is a shared bathroom, however there is an additional bathroom downstairs which is never really used. Internet, Netflix and amenities are included in the rent.
The great thing about living here is it is peaceful. No traffic noise, friendly neighbours and surrounded by bushland. The house has air conditioning for those really hot days. It's a short drive to shops and the train station. If you love animals my dog is the friendliest there is.

I myself am from a military family and currently live in Darwin; growing up I moved around a lot and have been to a lot of different places above the Tropic of Capricorn, including Katherine, Darwin, Townsville and even overseas in Malaysia. That being said, I've never really lived "down south" and out of the tropics (unfortunately) but I tolerate the heat and live for the cold - I've actually been up in the Swiss Alps in nothing but boots, jeans a shirt and a hoodie. It was uh, cold. But not too bad. I'm LGBT and so is my partner, and we both own a reptile. I have my therapy animal, a patternless childrens python rescue... he's covered in scars, old wounds and broken scales, but is honestly the sweetest animal I've had the pleasure of owning; his name is Spook, and I've only had him about a year and half odd, he is just superb around children and I love teaching people about him and snakes in general. My partner has a rescue blue tongue named Athena that's a riot to have out - she love's blueberries and snails, and kicking up substrate in her tank and curling up like a doughnut (it's very cute). I'm wanting to study to be a vet nurse but I'm in need of a stable environment that wont pull the rug out from under my feet, and I'm slowly working on getting the funds together to begin that phase of my life as I've always had an innate interest in animals, so much so I actually work with Petbarn up in Darwin, and am more than happy to give advice and help with animals if you have any be it cat, dog, old or new. In my down time, I'm often mucking around on my PC playing games with my partner, or cooking, or even cleaning (I'm a bit neurotic when it comes to that). I am allergic to certain dogs (has to do with how well their coat is maintained I'm fairly sure) but... honestly? Worth it. Dogs are great and I love them all, the sniffly nose is so worth their happy faces and smiles.
