I usually study during the day but I like to make time for the gym and chilling with mates so I’m often not home though I would like living with someone who’s happy to hang out. Always keen for a chat and love to experiment on the stove though I am mindful and happy to keep the place clean. I work two jobs, both based in Hobart on weekends so I’ll mostly only be around on weekdays. Ideal housemate would be someone who loves a laugh and is pretty easy going.

My house is dated but comfortable for two adults to have space. You'll be living in semi-rural setting, 5 minutes from CBD with private gardens, 2 decks, undercover spa, BBQ and fire-pot area. Bush on 2 sides. Shared communial areas, kitchen, dining room. Your rooms will comprise of bedroom with ensuite and a second small bedroom up 5 stairs. There is underfloor heating in larger room which can be used as lounge. TV outlet. You'll have to pay for this heating. Or, bring you're own heating and cooling. Your rent will include power, water, wood and internet. Off-street parking if you start work before 9am. I do have a queen bed ensemble if needed. No couples.
We are a quiet couple with 2 small and friendly dogs. Jasmine is at UTAS and Josh has a cert III in IT, about to commence his bachelors in IT. We rarely have people over or leave/come back particularly late or early. We mostly keep to ourselves but also love a chat. We're looking to share with a dog lover as ours are very sociable. Josh is a wheelchair user and would need an entrance that could be ramped (we can install ramps ourselves) and a relatively flat shower (no showers over baths or raised showers). Our dogs need a secure backyard, but we could put in small sections of fence if need be. We'd need a queen sized bedroom with either built-ins or room to put a wardrobe. Josh has a small business and would also require space for his equipment and IT items. We know this is a lot to ask but if anyone can help we'd be very happy!

Trevallyn is a really lovely part of Launceston, my street is great (quiet, leafy green and with a really nice vibe) and my house is very cool! It's well kept and clean, light, bright and with an awesome verandah. There are three bedrooms; I'm in one of them, the second one is waiting for a housemate, and the third is just being used for storage at the moment. The kitchen is super modern and well appointed and big (which is funny really, since I'm not much of a cook). The back yard is really enormous. It's rambling and overgrown, which I will be getting on top of at some point. I've just put in a veggie garden and will be getting chooks in the new year. The room for rent is on the small side but has brand spanking new carpet, freshly painted inbuilt wardrobes and a double bed.

The house is furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped so all you need to bring is yourself and things for your room (if you have your own furniture/kitchen things that you'd like to bring we can work that out too). Internet is $30 each p/month and is included in weekly rent. The power bill is split evenly every 3 months. Due to a bad experience with my last housemate I will need the new house mate to either sign on to the lease or pay a security deposit of 3 weeks rent to me. I have just signed a new six months lease (through to 19 of July) and would ideally like someone to at least stay for that period. (The property is a long term rental and the lease will be up for renewal again come July)
Hey I’m Luke I’ve just moved back to tassie after living on the mainland for 8 years. I work full time. And play cricket and football on weekends so I’m hardly home. Your room is the empty one pictured above, equipped with a heat pump and wardrobe. Property is fully furnished. There is also an office room for you to use if you wish. Internet, water, electricity etc all connected and working. Some of the pictures show the house unfurnished, but they were taken while unoccupied.
