I would like to find a place in the Daw Park/Melrose Park area or neighbouring suburbs (I have a long list of suburbs; south, south west and south east of the city I'd be willing to live in), modern-ish, with 2 bathrooms, air con, low maintenance, preferably a dishwasher, preferably 2 living areas (or a spare bedroom). A house, or a town house, somewhere with at least a little space and privacy. Pet friendly because I have a cat. I would like to find somewhere asap, but am flexible with my time frame. I'm thinking somewhere around $400 to $530 ish (total). I've seen some nice places that fit all this coming up around ascot park, edwardstown, millswood, plympton type suburbs recently. I am late 30s. Pretty laid back. Quiet, honest, fair, nice, friendly, think i'm pretty funny, sociable but don't go out much anymore, don't like confrontation, don't like bossy people, don't like self-centred people. I work full time and I work hard so I can be quite lazy in my free time. I'm close to my family. I like things pretty clean and tidy and would like someone who will be on my same wave length and help me clean the place when we've decided it needs cleaning (or maybe we could splash out on a cleaner!). I don't expect you to be cheery all the time..... I'm not. I like going out for brunch and meals in general. I'm good at basic cooking. I like the outdoors. I like movies. I don't like excerise but I wish I did. I like road trips. I like music festivals (but the grown up kind). I don't garden, but I do like gardens, especially herbs. I love food and coffee. Looove music but not all genres. Sooo, I've been living by myself for the last however many years and so have all the required furniture, but you might too, so a place with a garage would be good so we can store the extra things we have. This, and my love of tv is why I'd like a place with a second living area or spare bedroom so we could both have our own space to do what we want without being stuck in our bedrooms. I'm very socially engaged and have a very wide and extensive group of friends that I visit however rarely have over. I like watching old movies, listening to old music, and reading old books (there's a pattern there) but I'm very interested in new things and look forward rather than backward. I'm open minded on social issues and enjoy a good belly laugh. I try and keep myself in good condition though I am susceptible to a nice shiraz. "Your" bedroom has a beautiful view of the city lights and is a great size. It’s a spacious 3.4 metres wide by 4.2 long, so it will easily fit a king or queen size bed etc. It has polished floorboards, built in wardrobes with lots of storage, curtains, ceiling fan with a remote, a TV point, and power points at both ends of the room. The house is furnished, but the vacant bedroom is not. The upstairs of the house has polished floorboards, 3 bedrooms all with built in wardrobes (mine, a guest bedroom and the one for rent), bathroom, separate toilet, and another room used as a study/office. There's also an upstairs balcony that runs the length of the house. Beautiful views and the city lights can be seen from the balcony and both main bedrooms (includes the one for rent). Down stairs has a lounge with parquetry floors, a wood burning fire, a large Fujitsu split system heater / air con, kitchen, separate dining with a bay window and slate floors, and a separate room for storage. Outside - downstairs has a partly sheltered and lawned area for BBQ, socialising etc. The house is on a large block so there’s plenty room for growing things if you’re a keen gardener. There is also off street parking with a double access driveway. Belair is a great central location. From here it’s about 20mins to the city, or 20mins to Marion Shopping Centre/Cinema complex, it’s about 5 mins to Blackwood which has Coles, Woolworths, Foodland, lots of local shops and places to eat, plus public transport (Blackwood and Coromandel train stations and lots of busses). It’s about 7 mins to Mitcham, which has very similar amenities to Blackwood, and also has a Wallis Cinema. The Belair and Glenalta train stations are only minutes away from here as is the bus. Hey friends, I'm Lucy, I'm 20 years old and currently still living with my family Looking to move out within the next few months for more freedom and independence. (Don't be worried that if you were to get a house with me I'd be hit hard with reality and take off half way through the lease, because when I plan something, I stick to it, and this is me forever, or at least the amount of time I commit too) I work Monday to Friday in a Call Centre, work evenings and weekends part time, and work weekends doing Freelance Makeup. On weekends when I'm not working I party like most 20 year old's do. When at home, I like to lounge around either in my bed with Netflix, or on the couch with a good movie, which will most likely result in afternoon naps or dancing around the house with no pants on (I'll try to be fully dressed when your family comes over but no promises) In a roommate I'd be looking for someone like minded and respectful, it would be a huge plus to become friends aswel rather than just passing in the kitchen everyday (I can understand that becoming friends with your roommate can ruin things but I'd be determent to keep the divide) In a house I would be looking for something clean and low maintenance (not necessarily new but preferably new appliances) , would love a spare bedroom (which we can both use) for when friends need to stay, and a dishwasher for me is a must. (Nice bathtub also preferable for lush bath bombs!) I also wanted to mention first up, I have collected a lot of the furniture that would be required for the shared spaces in our home so I'm not too fussed (would actually be preferable) if you didn't have much furniture already, hence avoiding having double.
