I am moving from Brisbane to Darwin on the 28th of December. I will be starting a new job (two-year contract, full time) on the 3rd January. I am looking for a place to call home for at least 6 months, longer if things are working well. I'll also be finishing off my PhD in 2017, so I need to be able to work at home outside of business hours. I could find my own place, but it's nice to have someone around, even if we don't hang out at home. I enjoy an evening run, bushwalking, reading, and cooking (and I am happy to share the cooking with you). I am easy to live with, organised, tidy, and clean regularly (I own a pink vacuum cleaner). My current and past housemates will testify to this and I can provide references; finding a safe, secure, and peaceful place to live is important to me. I am cat- and dog-friendly. If you live near green spaces or running/cycling paths that would be a bonus.
Dear future house mates, My name is Candace :) I am 26 and is a full time teacher who is looking for a place to live with my dog, Bailey. I am easy going, clean, outgoing, reliable, respectful person who loves to have a laugh. I'm not a massive party person, but love to have a few drinks on the weekend. I also love being active and doing activities :) If I seem like the right fit for your house/townhouse please do not hesitate to contact me !
I'm a bubbly, fun person and a full-time teacher. I'll be moving to Darwin on the 16th of December. I have spent the last 3 years teaching on Bathurst Island (60km north of Darwin). I've recently accepted a permanent job at a school in Palmerston. I have a gorgeous 2 year old mix-breed dog called Nala. She's an outside dog and loves everyone she meets. Well trained and brings a smile to everyone's face. She's fine inside but is generally an outdoor dog. I've lived in shared housing since moving to Bathurst Island and am clean, tidy and can adequately take care of myself :D I'm a big camper so love getting out exploring on the weekends but also enjoy a relaxed weekend and a few trips into town every so often. Just looking for a place (preferably with a yard) to move into. Not fussed with numbers or genders but would prefer to live with people between 20 and 35 :)
Located 2 minutes away from local shopping center, 10 minutes away from Nightcliff foreshore, and 5 minutes away from public transport. the place comes tastefully furnished with high end furniture and finishings. Apartment also features a small private backyard suitable for get-togethers and a pool within the complex. A community room is also available for parties etc. Barbecue is provided by the apartment owners... contact me on 0421072195
I've been living in a remote community in the NT for 2 years now and will be moving to Darwin in 2017 to begin my University degree. I'm originally from rural Victoria. I'm fun and outgoing, very friendly and have a very relaxed personality, making me easy to get along with. I am a very social person and love to keep myself busy on weekends, while also having my downtime. I enjoy being in the outdoors and am looking really forward to moving into Darwin in 2017.
Hi, I'm moving to Darwin at the beginning of next year for a new job with the Northern Territory government. I'm originally from Orange, NSW and studied in Canberra. I'm active and I like to keep myself busy. I have quite a bubbly personality and I'm a social person but I also like down time. I'd ideally like to find one house mate similar age and interests to share a 2 bedroom apartment with me. I'm very clean and tidy and I have almost enough furniture to furnish the entire apartment. I'm very friendly :-) weekend adventures and chats over tea or wine sound perfect to me :-) See you in Darwin!
Quiet and independent. Working full time, may also study. Looking for a a room preferably with views in a complex with internet, a gym (rower) and pool.
Hi all, Im a fun, easy and out going person who is looking for a furnished room to rent preferably with ensuite and covered parking if possible. Im looking at staying 4 months or longer depending on lease etc - I work full time and don't mind a couple of quiet drinks on the balcony at the end of the week. I also go out every now and then but in saying that I'm also respective and quiet, I'm also a clean and tidy person and I don't mind cooking every now and then. I don't watch t.v as much as I prefer music so I wont be in the way as much either.. If you are looking for some one that fits my description to move in, please get in touch. Cheers, Rob

I am a 22 year old professional moving up from Sydney to Darwin for work. New to Darwin. I am looking for a new place to share or rent out. What to expect from me? I am a very laid back person who is respectful or other people's peace and quiet. I am not a party animal but do like to have to occasional drink here and there with friends. I have lived in sharehouses before so I know what to expect.
It is a quiet suburb, about 20 minutes walk from the ocean. There are bus stope near by. There is also a shopping complex and a Sunday market within walking distance (Rapid Creek Markets). It is a beautifil rennovated house with a green garden all around and plenty of mango and papaya
I'm a 26 year old lawyer moving to Darwin to take up a 2 year position at Legal Aid :) I am originally from Sydney but have lived in Melbourne for the past 9 months, before that I volunteered in Darwin for 3 months, so I already know and am in love with the place. I am relaxed, easygoing, love cooking (especially baking), reading, hiking and fitness generally. I've rented with others for the past seven years. I've just bought a 4wd and am keen to go camping and bushwalking. I love to hang out with my housemates but also appreciate the need to have our own space! Looking for something long term (I will be on a two year contract) as I have secured something short term while I set myself up initially. I am driving up from Sydney and plan to arrive around 5 January 2017 and will be available to do inspections and meet prospective housemates from that date. Looking forward to meeting my future housemates :)
Hey everyone! I am from Melbourne and planning on making the move to Darwin to start a full time new grad job in Parap around Jan 7th. It would be great to link up with one or a few people who are looking for somewhere to live that is centrally located, preferably with a balcony and pool. About myself: I am pretty laid back and love to get out and about. I have backpacked several years, enjoy guitar, exploring nature - and sharing banter over a good tea or cold beer. Although I will be working hard, I'd love to find a comfortable home with some mates that are also keen to find what Darwin has to offer! Shoot me a message, or give me a call if there's anything you'd like to know. Jordie
Hi there! We're a group of three medical students in the NT for a six months from Jan-Jun 2017. We're a friendly lot and include a gym, a craft and a cycling enthusiast (when there's a need for a break from study!). We're looking to live together as a group of three in share house near the RDH or in the city. Please drop us a line if your house is in need of +3 or replacement tenants for six months!
I am a clean, house trained 32 year old male from Alice Springs. Can cook and clean, coming to Darwin late Feb. Bartender by trade respectful and not a party animal but loves to be social.
28 y/o full-time professional moving up from Melbourne for the foreseeable future. New to Darwin, although I have visited for work before so kind of know the area and know a few people here and there. Looking for a new place to share with some cool people, or a room in a house already full of them. Housemates are good, but if you're looking for someone friend-worthy as well, then we should talk. Ideally I am looking for 1-2 housemates. I like people... but not too many. What you can expect from me is mostly Netflix and Chill after work Mon-Fri, but assuming I make some friends and being Darwin, its safe to say I might head out for dinner or a drink on the weekend. I am not a party animal, I just like a normal level of social interaction. I have been living in a share house for the last few years, so I know the drill. I am tidy and I want to live with people who are the same. I can cook, so if you want to have a few meals together then I hope you can too. If you don't do the sharing thing then I am all for that too. I have been living in some pretty cool places so I have some reasonable chat to bring to the table pending you understand my sarcasm. I'll be coming up with a few things but don't have any big furniture yet, so if you're already set up that works for me. I am keen to split the cost for some furniture if you are in the same boat as me as well. Things I am looking for in my life besides a place to put the bed are a gym, a view, a good coffee, wine and some good food, not necessarily in that order. You can expect me to be doing most of those things on a regular basis. Ideal locations I have listed, but if you think your spot is closer to the things I have described above, then have a go at twisting my arm. Ideally I'd like somewhere with parking but if you know I can get parking on the street without losing my mind every day then let me know about that too. Own bathroom would be the cherry on top, but I will be working varying hours mon-fri so shouldn't get in your way either way.
3 fully furnished rooms available in a fully furnished house. Bills and WiFi included in rent. It's a large house with an in-ground pool. All bedrooms have aircon. We are in a great location in Nightcliff, one block from the foreshore and walking track.
The house is centrally located in a quiet street, 100 meters from public transport and walking distance to Casuarina beach and public swimming pool. Just a little further away is Nightcliff mall, markets, shops and gym. The house is also fully furnished with 2 bathrooms, 2 dining areas and 2 TV’s. The house itself is semi-detached with a large breeze-way that captures the sea breezes. The breeze-way opens out to a large in-ground pool and a large private yard surrounded with tall trees and shrubs. There are lots of areas to ‘just hang’ relax and read a book if you choose. We are looking for a mature person who is a non-smoker, social drinking is fine, the person needs to be working. The rent is $200 pw. Including power and water, with 3 weeks bond. Please feel free to call so we can have a chat and make arrangements to meet you and show you are friendly and relaxed home.
I have a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on the Nightcliff foreshore which I would like to share with an artist who can use the entire living room as an art/craft studio. There's lots of shelving for materials etc and space to spread out and create. The bedroom is off the living room and is very large, with an ensuite bathroom, built-in wardrobes and aircon. I occupy the other 2 smaller bedrooms and bathroom in a separate section of the house. There is a large double garage with plenty of storage space, as well as large back and front verandas. The location is stunning, with tree and sea views and a very peaceful, grounded feel. My vision is of a productive but peaceful space where we are able to do our own thing while co-existing harmoniously. I am away from Darwin regularly, and happily busy when I'm home, so wouldn't be demanding of my housemate's attention. It's a non-smoking environment and I also prefer to share my space with someone who doesn't drink habitually or use drugs. Rent will be negotiable, depending on how the space will be used. If you are interested, curious or keen, I'd love to chat with you.
