The room is a flat separate to the house in the garden. It's air conditioned, gets good sunlight & private. Owner (male) lives in main house. Flat is set up with fridge, microwave, hot plate, kettle & toaster (and I have plenty of spare crockery & cutlery). The private bathroom is in house and you can use the main kitchen for 'real' cooking. Very comfortable and welcome to use the sun-room (excellent in the winter) at the rear of the main house (bathroom is immediately off that room). Under cover carport. Fantastic location 10min walk from CBD, 2min Hospital & 5min from Victoria Park which has pool, gym etc..
I'm easy going, friendly, very tidy and conscious of others. I am a responsible person that will be able to fit in to anywhere I go.
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups

We are a young couple from Newcastle and we are moving to Canberra for work at very short notice. We urgently require short-term accommodation until we can get settled in and find our own place. We would like to move in preferably no later than the beginning of June. Our preferred length of stay is around 2-3 months but we can be flexible with this. Elliott (22 y.o.) - Public servant and Clark Kent look-alike; currently working as a research assistant and finishing the last semester of a commerce degree via distance. Michelle (27 y.o.) - Recently completed a B.A. in politics and international relations; moving to Canberra to work and study at ANU. • We are mature, respectful, and clean up after ourselves. • We're sociable and easy to get along with, but we also appreciate having our own space. • We'll be working full-time hours Monday-Friday and studying during nights/weekends, so we're looking for housemates who are quiet and considerate, especially during the evening. (We don't mind sharing with other students as long as it's not a noisy 'party house' type environment). • We're not adverse to hanging out occasionally — it would be nice to know some locals who can show us around the city and recommend things to see/do in Canberra :) • Hoping to find a room that's already furnished because we'll need time to acquire our own furniture. A queen bed would be ideal because all of our sheets, quilts etc. are queen size (and Elliott is probably too tall to sleep on anything smaller). • We'll need parking space (Elliott has a car and I plan to bring mine down from Newcastle in the near future, too). • I'll be relying on public transport for at least a few weeks, so accommodation located reasonably close to public transport is a must. • We would prefer to have our own bathroom/ensuite (if possible) but we're not in a position to be too fussy. • Decent internet/Wi-Fi and heating/cooling is essential.
Hi there. I'm a pretty low maintenance and highly responsible professional adult. i pay the rent on time, I clean, i respect people's space. I'm an ex-engineering drafter/designer turned Personal Trainer. I'm working full time in the hospitality industry while I study to become a personal trainer with the Australian Institute of Fitness. I'm fairly active and am not home too much.
Hi lm Georgie I am very chill love a chat and can respect privacy I have small elderly dog she is very friendly
I’m an incoming-postgraduate student of Environmental Management and Development to ANU, coming from the United Arab Emirates. Although I was born in Australia, I grew up as an expat kid in the Middle East, leading to my undergraduate studies in England and Hong Kong. I’m not that familiar with Australia but really looking forward to starting my next chapter there. I’d consider myself a courteous and tidy flatmate who is open-minded, socialable and studious. Hoping to work part-time and explore Southeast Asia and the Pacific outside of my studies.
We are a calm, friendly, tidy and respectful couple. We are planing to Study, Work and travel, so we will be out most of times. We arrive in Canbera in July. Our hobies are cicling, kiteserfing, snowboarding and exploring new wonderful places. We are open-minded and will be happy to meet new friends. Best regards, Alex
Well to start off I am 17 nearly 18 year old male. Mature, clean and tidy. Busy most the time but always up for a chat. Looking for a place anywhere in canberra. Have lived in a few share houses and am currently in refuge housing. Love my gaming (record videos) and spend my free time recording music. Handy with computers or anything mechanical.
Forde is an excellent suburb, open and spacious with lots of green areas. We are at the end of the lake in Forde so we have beautiful views over the lake. Our house is a 2 min walk from the bus stop. You can go for a nice 7km run around the lake here. We have 2 student rooms available which are spacious and sunny. It is a shared bathroom between maximum of 3 students, with each their own sink. We have a cute dog that is small, a jack russel crossed with a chihuahua, who loves cuddles and is harmless.
Hi, quite room available in a 10 year old 4 bedroom house in Forde (Northern Canberra). Sharing with one male owner (50) and partner. Off street parking. Buses close by and I travel to Belconnen each day for work. Big downstairs area, 2 private areas for tv, dinning room, nice modern kitchen. 3 outdoor areas for quite times. Not much of a party person, so more suited to non party types (students, travelers, non-couples). Prefer to do own food shopping/cooking and meals. Lake close by for walks as well as bushland and parks. Bike paths everywhere, can ride to Belconnen in 30 mins. Buses into the city or Belconnen easy to catch. There is a morning express bus directly from Forde to the city and beyond with the bus stop only 100 meters from house. Like the documentary shows on tv, Big Bang Theory, movies, current affairs and some real life shows. But two tv rooms so can easily have different tv viewing habits. Bills and internet could be included if moderate use only. Parking may have to be on the street or there is one space in the driveway, safe area and under street-light. Prefer people who know how to clean up after themselves and are tidy/respectful of others in the house. Shared with other ladies and international students/backpackers before and we shared house hold cleaning, washing dishes, etc. Any questions, message me and I should be able to answer them, look forward to hearing from you.
Hey future roomie! As you'd probably already established, I'm Georga, I am 25 years young (old) and am currently living in Franklin I moved to Canberra a little over a year ago and absolutely adore it here. I work in construction full time, and do 1, maybe 2 waitressing shifts a week at the Dickson Tradies. I quite like a drink, or 10 and love nothing more than cutting loose on weekends (I start work super early during the week so no late nights for this Grandma) I am a very social person and would love nothing more than entertaining friends on the weekends with BBQ's and wines. Not fussed on the area, anywhere North side. I come with bedroom furniture a BBQ and an outdoor lounge setting. Ideally looking for a room with ensuite, but that’s not a deal breaker. Parking is a must though. About you: I would love to live in a sociable, friendly and generally happy happy household. X
