I am moving to Canberra for a role in the public service. I already own enough house essentials (fridge, washing machine, lounge etc) to set up a home, I just need housemate/s to help pay the rent. I am only looking for housemates for a team up so we can rent a house together. I have lived in share houses for the last 15 years. I like a housemate/s who enjoy the community of a house and are willing to share meals and explore Canberra together. I am looking for housemates with secure employment and preferably somewhat near my age. I like board games, computer games, binge watching TV shows (Netflix etc), but also like to ride mountain bikes. I shall be in Canberra from the 10th of July and hope to move into a house in the next 3 weeks. I am happy to talk over email before then, and meet in person once I arrive in Canberra. I don't smoke or do drugs, and am happy to drink on occasions. I identify as LGBTI (m2f transgender). The suburbs I have listed are more of a suggestion, and am willing to consider other suburbs.
The massive room (3.4m x 4.8m) we have available is North-facing and has a private balcony overlooking a lovely green space, it is unfurnished at $200/week. Rent is paid 4-weekly in advance. Bond is 4 weeks rent. The house has two bathrooms and three toilets. There is a large kitchen with a big 90cm gas stove + oven + dishwasher, separate dinning room and bar, a very spacious lounge that opens up to a sunny verandah and a big separate laundry. We also have a big double garage and plenty of parking areas. Toasty gas ducted heating keeps us warm throughout the house :). Our house is situated across the road from the Curtin shops. All you need to do is cross the street for your supplies – Coles, organic grocer, bookshop, pharmacy, medical clinic, bottle shops, cafes, bakeries and more. Our beautiful garden is bountiful in harvest – you can stuff yourself silly with delicious figs, olives, lemons, pears and grapes!
I'm 23 and just finishing up my degree. Working part time at the moment, and about to start working full-time at the end of the year. I love to travel and am searching for a place to live in August when I get back from a year in America and Europe. In my spare time I love to go out with friends, do brunch, drink wine, and watch trashy TV. I love animals, especially dogs, and would prefer a pet-friendly house (although I don't have any pets just yet). I am friendly and easygoing, and would love an environment I can relax in but can also have fun with everyone when we feel like it. I'm looking for flatmates to become a little family with seeing as I don't know that many people in Canberra any more. I'd love to either join a current house or start a new house with like-minded people. I'm looking for a preferably mixed-gender house full of people who would be happy to have a chat after work and share some wines over dinner. I also love to bake desserts so would love people who would eat what I bake so I don't end up eating it all myself! Please feel free to send me a message if you'd be interested in living together
I'm a professional and hold a steady full time job. Am quiet, co-operative, understanding and neat. On the weekends I spend my time taking walks, listening to music or reading. I respect my housemates and their property
I am wanting somewhere to stay that is a self contained, one bedroomed unit or granny flat where I will stay ( mainly Sunday to Thursday) each week. Sometimes my husband will join me. We live in Wagga; I am a professional person, quiet and live in a spotless home in Wagga (our own) so would want a bright and cheerful place with light and off street parking if that was possible. I'll be working in Deakin, ACT.
Mitchell is currently studying at ANU, and I am studying at CIT , Mitchell is in his early twenties and I am soon turning twenty, neither of us smoke and we rarely drink, we clean up after ourselves and are friendly and polite, we enjoy travel and being outside emersed in nature, we both work part time jobs and get along with everyone and anyone. Mitchell's hobbies include art and photograpy, running and camping, hikes through national parks and the occasional visit to the cinema. mariah's hobbies include being a bookworm and writing her own stories, going for walks/hikes, camping and some art every now and then and a little bit of gaming. We both love animals but don't have any ourselves, and have no problems if our flat mate or mates have animals
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and adjustable and usually get along just fine. I like to socialize but at the same time respect your individual space. Really love to cook and play sports (cricket, football). Would preferably look for an accommodation near the city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
I am a registered nurse at Calvary John James, have a busy lifestyle, very clean and tidy. Looking for a one bed flat, granny glat or very neat studio preferably in South Canberra or Queanbeyan.
Hi! I'm moving with my current job (environmental consultant) from Sydney to Canberra. I've been living in sharehouses for eight years. Pretty quiet during the week, I try to exercise most nights. I'm respectful of space, but also keen to be social with my housemate/s.
This private room is spacious with an in-built wardrobe, opening out onto a large decked area and backyard. There are two living areas; lounge and one adjoining the dining space and kitchen. There is a centralised heating system for use and parking space outside. The house is walking distance to the Curtin shops and less than a 10 minute drive to to the city. The room is available for viewing: please contact me if needed.
Beautiful sun filled rooms in a large 4 bedroom house with a lovely patio area and large backyard. Our home is in quiet loop street next to a reserve with lots of walking tracks and parks nearby. Amazing views, including parliament house and the library, courtesy of large windows throughout. Incredibly close to Westfield Woden shopping centre, lots of public transport options nearby, short commute to the city and easy access to the parkway for getting to Belconnen or Tuggeranong. Hydronic heating keeps the house nice and warm for the coming cooler months. Two rooms are offered, one with built-in wardrobe and sharing a bathroom with one (male) flatmate.
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. You can expect me to keep my area tidy and clean, contribute to my fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.

Cody and I are just a couple of queers being peers who enjoy living together and are in the market for a different place. We like to play games (Board, Card, Video and Dice!) and read quietly by ourselves. We're firm believers in Taco Tuesday (Or Fajita Friday depending on the week) and don't mind the odd house beer/cider. We're both easy going and low maintenance flat mates, suitable for any environment. Cody loves doing dishes and I clean a mean toilet. Any questions?

Although, I don't mind spending a few nights together or having a chat. I'm young and creative and enjoy just hanging around watching Netflix or doing some baking. Always been a Canberra gal, im not a loud person nor am I a partier. That doesn't stop me from the one off nights where I might wanna go out. I'd be down with hanging around having a few drinks. I have a small inside dog, everyone adores him, his a great dog who gets along with other animals too.
