Sunny, spacious, bedroom available from end of October early November 2019, in the beautiful leafy suburb of Curtin. This wonderful one storey house is warm and spacious, and only a 3 minute walk to Curtin Shops, 5 minute drive to Woden, 12 minutes to Civic, and 15 to Westfield Belconnen. We’re also ideally located two steps from the south-bound bus, and across the road from the north-bound bus. Your room: Sunny and spacious, with view right onto our beautifully maintained vege/flower garden. Has a built in ducted heating and an enormous triple wardrobe with space for hanging, and a lot of shelving. The room is very private from the other bedrooms and as it comes un-furnished, so you have complete autonomy over your own decorating! Your room is across the hall from a large bathroom including a large mirror, storage space, separate shower and Jacuzzi-bath, and a separate toilet, which you will be sharing with one other very tidy female. The House: 3 bedrooms with carpet, two bathrooms, laundry, and large open-plan kitchen-dining-living area which are tiled. Amy lives down the far end of the house, and Chelsea will be your next-door-room neighbour. We have ducted heating throughout, and are yet to find ourselves cold in winter, or hot in summer. We also have solar panels which offset a huge amount of our power bills! Being an established share-house, the house comes complete with a washing machine, dishwasher and new oven, and gas stovetop, as well as fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave and all dishware/kitchen furnishings as well (plenty of room to accommodate another's things however!) We have also furnished the rest of the living space with a dining table & chairs, stools, a large TV, huge couch and the occasional piece of art. If you are in possession of any these items also, we can be flexible in our decorating ☺ Outside: On-street parking is available for the renter of this room. We have a small insulated (and well-lit) lockable garage, which is currently used as storage for our spare items and the rest of our junk, and there is MORE than enough room for a third persons things. We also have a social and warm outside decking area with outdoor setting and space for entertaining. Our garden is realllly wonderful, with a large fishpond and water feature (Solar powered) and beautiful landscaping. Our landlord takes pride in it, and will often bring a gardener over to maintain it, or spend time with Amy doing work on it.
Very busy professional looking for a quiet, clean, tidy and well organised household. I do travel a lot and get along well with a majority of human population :) Looking for a place that doesn't mind some social gatherings, while also respecting my personal space due to the demanding nature of my work. Although chats over fine wine and cheese platter are always welcome :) I am a house owner in another state and relocating to Canberra for work. I shared houses and rented the properties in the past, so I know the drill :p I would prefer the place to be close to Govt circle or public transport, but this is not a deal breaker. I will likely head down to Melbourne every three to four weekends.
The place is very close to Curtin shops, about 100m walk. There is a bus stop close by, allowing easy access around Canberra. Curtin is a quiet leafy suburb which is a 10 minute drive to Civic and 5 minute drive to Woden Westfield (or 20min bike ride). The apartment is spacious up to date and modern with reverse cycle air conditioning throughout.
I am a triathlete/ full time worker from sydney. I am moving to Canberra to train so I am looking for somewhere to live for the next 6 months. I am super easy going, clean and tidy, big into food prep and not really the party type. I wont have much free time around work and training but will be down for hanging out when we are home together. My hobbies include anything to do with food, beach, travel and getting outdoors.
Hello, I'm Ben. I consider myself to be a fairly regular 26 year old male. Love getting along with people and open minded. Canberra born and bred. Bit of a Jack of all trades. Trying to get back into keeping active after joining the public service. Do a bit of gaming (Won't chew up too much bandwidth though). I also enjoy a drink and being social, although I'm usually the quiet one in a group. Clean and tidy around the house especially in shared areas. More of a 'clean up after myself' type rather than 'everyone has their turn' but I'm flexible and will fit in with established practices. Not much of a cook but willing to learn. Will do my fair share of housework. Would love to find a place with flat mates that appreciate a really friendly vibe. Would prefer to have a 'trial period' but would love to find the right place to stay at for longer. Cheers,
Hi, My name is Rebecca and I am a 46 year young single female. I have recently moved down from Hamilton Island for the best job in the world, director of food and beverage at Jamala and the zoo. I am easy going and although quiet, also enjoy the occasional social times, love cooking for both myself and my housemates when home. Not fussed about actual home but definitely want a decent sized bedroom and own bathroom. Would love to hear from any prospective housemates! :)
Hey I'm Angus, I'm a 25yo medical student mostly based at Canberra Hospital next year. I'm looking to move into an existing sharehouse or also open to joining people on a new lease. I've lived in sharehouses before and like to chill over a few drinks or occasionally have dinner together but also respect others housemates' space and privacy. I'm flexible on move-in dates, furniture, etc and looking primarily around the inner south or near Canberra Hospital.
I'm a Canberra born and bred public servant, love to go out and try new bars/restaurants but also enjoy relaxing at home and catching up on my Netflix shows. Happy to share my account with prospective housemates!
Currently studying Art History and Curatorship, and going into my honours year. I am very creative and into art, so would love some crafternoons! I am a very clean person, and enjoy my alone time as much as I do hanging out with housemates. I am originally from Sydney!
Hi! My name is Anna, and I’ll be moving up from Melbourne in early November. I’m going to be in Canberra to check out the city and do some housemate interviews on the 23rd, 24th, 28th and 29th of October. I recently finished my Master of Architecture and want to pursue a career helping figure out how to provide affordable housing. I’m moving to the ACT to study a Master of Public Policy (and work part-time) and ultimately hope to work in the public sector researching public housing policy. I like a share-house that is community-minded and friendly and I’m always up for a last-minute night out or night in! Around the house I am very tidy, and I try to avoid using disposable plastic products and I’m into composting and gardening and that kind of stuff.
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra in late Jan/early Feb 2020 for a new full time job. I'm looking for other young professionals who are seeking a quiet but friendly household in a modern home - either one that I can join, or one we find together. I'm a fun, independent, and reliable housemate with sharing experience. I appreciate a clean and tidy house with fair cleaning responsibilities, especially in shared areas, but I'm not pedantic and know that life (and long days at work) can get in the way! I don't mind a cheeky class of wine or two and am always up for banter and chats, but also respect space and need it myself sometimes. I love to cook and bake and always make too much, so you'll often get food from me! I also have an xbox and a vinyl record player that I'd be happy to share with the house (as well as a bunch of other furniture and appliances if needed). I have a partner that would visit 1-2 times a month on weekends, but I'm happy to be flexible with timing. I also love pets (especially dogs), so would be more than happy to have one in the house! If you have any other questions or want to know more about me, let me know!
Hey! I’m a bartender at the Hellenic club. I love animals, food, outdoors and am pretty easy going. I like socialising with friends and going out for drinks as well as chilling at home and watching movies/Netflix. I’m looking to move into a sharehouse with other young people or students :)
