Hi! I'm moving up to Darwin from Adelaide soon (I fly in on May-31) to start a job as a Government groundwater scientist. I'm a fairly typical late-20's guy - I enjoy all the usual things (the outdoors, travel, convos over drinks) plus less usual things like baseball, old books and old movies (B&W old). I've lived in Darwin before so I also have a pretty good existing friendship group up there. I'm looking to either move into an existing sharehouse or start one up. I've lived in sharehouses all over Australia so I know how to pull my weight and respect other's lives. A big part of my work is going to be doing fieldwork in the outback for periods of up to six weeks - so you'll have some extra space sometimes, too! Send me a message if you're keen or want to know anything else.
The property is located in sort after Suburb of Jingili. Which is good central Suburb between City and Casuarina. Being only 5 minutes drive to Casuarina Shopping Centre, Charles Darwin University and another couple of minutes to Darwin Hospital. Good central location for Students, Doctors, Mid-wifes and Nurses; or any professional worker. For any FIFO persons it is only 5 minutes bike ride down Rothdale Rd to the Darwin Airport, and 3 minute walk to Darwin Airport Tavern for lovely meals, friendly beverage or a go on the Pokies. I prefer to have a mix of males and females, and Couples are invited to apply as all bedrooms are furnished with Double or Queen beds etc.
We’re very chilled guys who appreciate tidy communal spaces. Large outdoor entertaining area with lots of fans. Plenty of space for off street parking. Well mantained tropical garden. We both work long hours but enjoy relaxing & socialising on the weekend.
American backpacker looking for a room or a shared room for the Dry Season. I am working full time in cafes and restaurants. I am easy going. I enjoy reading, writing, photography, running, and cooking. In a roommate scenario, we can hang out a lot or we don't have to chill at all.
Great house with a lot of space and quiet environment with great view for evening relaxation outside, walking distance to shops and bus stops 4 and 10 and clean house to come back after long day of hard work . Spacious room with wardrobe with alot of spaces and well maintain park just across the house to relax .
Hey, my housemate and I have a 3 bed 2 bath tropical house in millner with a massive saltwater pool. Plenty of storage space with big shed and off street parking. Cruisy household to live in. I'm an electrician and work fifo week on week off and my housemate (female) is a nurse who does shift work. Looking for some1 chill to slot into this place with us! We enjoy hanging out having a few beers and socialising but not a massive party house by any means. We both live busy lifestyles, when I’m not home I’ll be either fishing or camping. Both of us are around 30 years old. Cheers :)
Fun and friendly girl who doesn’t take life to seriously and laughs my way through life with a good sense of humour, like living in a clean environment and like cleaning so no hassles in sharing the chores. Have the ability to make a brick wall talk to me and like to socialise. Work full time as aged care manager. Have my best friend Boston he is a loving dog and likes anyone and any dog who will give attention I excecise regular so he isn’t active in the back yard New to Darwin by 8 months and would like to meet new people
We're both clean and tidy, and respect people's privacy but also enjoy hanging out with other house-mates. We both like to cook delicious food that looks super fancy and hipster, but is actually quick and easy to make, e.g., last week I made eggplant and zucchini stacks with chilli brie and pepperoni, while Greg made a shredded sweet potato and kale salad with pomegranate seeds. And yes, we're THOSE people who brew our own kombucha / make saurkraut / make our own wooden spice rack, that sort of thing :P We both love animals and the outdoors - Greg is doing his PhD in evolutionary biology and I'm working for Conservation Volunteers. We spend every few weekends out exploring Kakadu, as my parents live out there too. We are moving in a few months, so looking for a place from now until mid-July.
I'm a uni student who works at a betting company, I can be social and respect people's privacy. I grew up in Darwin most of my life and I like talking about sports. I'm also a bit of a movie buff and I like cooking.
There is a great atmosphere and lovely home type feeling. The home is a 3 Bedroom Fully Furnished Elevated Home/Sharehouse. The vacant Bedroom has a Queen size bed and bedside tables as well as being Air Conditioned and fanned with large BIR's. With open plan living area and a large Kitchen with a great outside elevated entertainment verandah to view the lovely tropical surrounds and the tropical storms, thunder and Lightening. Its an Awesome Place! Underneath the house is concrete storage bunker, and Laundry and plenty of area for a party with tables and chairs. It also has an under-cover Clothesline, great for when their is storms and rain and also a good size Plunge Pool/Spa to cool off each afternoon after work. This has a Saltwater Chlorinator and large sand filter so is easily maintained; as well as the Landlord provides an area maintenance man which is also our Property Manager. Her name is Mrs Jodee Deed, and also runs her own House Cleaning Business, so can assist you if needed. Sandhli (Past Tenant) moved out of the property in Nov 17 as her Nursing contract at Darwin Hospital had ended as well as her Student Course finished at Charles Darwin Uni. Please see her Review below: " I had a great time living at 25 Darwent Street, Malak. The house mates were really supportive. The place was always breezy and cool, especially when sitting on verandah. The owner was also available anytime and having internet and kitchen accessories in the house was also helpful." Thank you Allan. (Your a great landlord) Sincerely, Sandhli Sharma So Please Call the Middle Room is Vacant and ready NOW for anyone to move in and rent. Prefer 4, 6 or 12 months Leases.
Hello! :) I've recently moved up from Sydney and looking for short-term furnished accom until I figure out where I'd like to plonk long term (and I'm happy to take tips!). I'd like to try a few different suburbs for 2-ish week periods while you may be looking for your perfect flatmate so I could fill in that gap for you too. I don't have any myself but am happy to live with pets provided they're well-trained. One thing I won't budge on is you must be a non-smoker(s), sorry I can't stand the smell. I don't have any furniture but do love reading though so need a place to put some books and also a pushie as that's currently my only mode of transport....speaking of, I need to be within a short (30min) ride to the airport as that is where I work but I don't particularly want to live right across the road. Ideally I'm looking for something with space and an outlook. It doesn't have to be a "view" as such but just open. A built-in is a must and the best air-conditioning available! :D So about me; I'm a considerate shiftworker, easy-going, open-minded, blunt, honest and active. I'm a keen traveller and I don't like to be at home much but when I am, it's my haven. I love company but also appreciate my own space so happy to hang out sometimes but also do our own thing. I'm a keen recycler, eat mostly veges but I love the smell of a barbie on any given day! I'm super clean, but my room is usually a mess however I ALWAYS maintain tidiness in the common areas and expect the same. I've lived with others on and off for over 20yrs (Sydney real estate!), my last flatmate for almost 7 of those. I love meeting new people and experiencing new things so if you have any advice on things to see, do, eat or experience for a newcomer to Darwin, throw me your suggestions! I am keen to get fitter (biking to work is helping!), love classic Aussie rock (Midnight Oil, Hunters, Hoodoos, Divinyls etc), drink a lot of tea, enjoy playing & watching sport and like to learn new things. Hopefully something there grabs you enough to think I'd be a good fit in your home or at least curious enough to contact for a cuppa & chat. I look forward to meeting you soon. Cheers, Jane. :)
Hi :) I'm 26, working full time as a nurse at RDH. I've lived in Darwin since April last year and I'm looking for somewhere semi-long term, ideally 6 months to a year. I love cooking, baking and curling up with a good book - but I'm definitely not opposed to having a couple drinks with housemates. I'm relatively neat and tidy, a non-smoker and pretty easy to get on with. Look forward to hearing from you!
We are very easy going. Love camping, fishing etc. Both work full time (Admin & grano). Have a dog - catahoula. Ideally looking for a granny flat. Moving from Bunbury WA in July . We have excellent rental history with references .
