Hey everyone! I am from Melbourne and planning on making the move to Darwin to start a full time new grad job in Parap around Jan 7th. It would be great to link up with one or a few people who are looking for somewhere to live that is centrally located, preferably with a balcony and pool. About myself: I am pretty laid back and love to get out and about. I have backpacked several years, enjoy guitar, exploring nature - and sharing banter over a good tea or cold beer. Although I will be working hard, I'd love to find a comfortable home with some mates that are also keen to find what Darwin has to offer! Shoot me a message, or give me a call if there's anything you'd like to know. Jordie
I am a calm easy going person. Like to interact with others which comes naturally to me due to my profession (Food and Beverage Supervisor - Novotel CBD). However, I do not encroach on others privacy and expect the same from others. While staying, you will always find me engrossed on my online movies, songs (non-disturbing volume level), Kindle and of course food and drinks. Basically, I like to stay in my own world, but I am always there if my roommates are up to some group activities (say - movies, dining out or even traveling) I do cook occasionally sometimes out of desperation at midnight when I get back from my work. So, if you hear some plates or spoons crashing in the kitchen while you are on your bed............do not think that there is a theft going on or its a making of Conjuring 3. That's all about me.
28 y/o full-time professional moving up from Melbourne for the foreseeable future. New to Darwin, although I have visited for work before so kind of know the area and know a few people here and there. Looking for a new place to share with some cool people, or a room in a house already full of them. Housemates are good, but if you're looking for someone friend-worthy as well, then we should talk. Ideally I am looking for 1-2 housemates. I like people... but not too many. What you can expect from me is mostly Netflix and Chill after work Mon-Fri, but assuming I make some friends and being Darwin, its safe to say I might head out for dinner or a drink on the weekend. I am not a party animal, I just like a normal level of social interaction. I have been living in a share house for the last few years, so I know the drill. I am tidy and I want to live with people who are the same. I can cook, so if you want to have a few meals together then I hope you can too. If you don't do the sharing thing then I am all for that too. I have been living in some pretty cool places so I have some reasonable chat to bring to the table pending you understand my sarcasm. I'll be coming up with a few things but don't have any big furniture yet, so if you're already set up that works for me. I am keen to split the cost for some furniture if you are in the same boat as me as well. Things I am looking for in my life besides a place to put the bed are a gym, a view, a good coffee, wine and some good food, not necessarily in that order. You can expect me to be doing most of those things on a regular basis. Ideal locations I have listed, but if you think your spot is closer to the things I have described above, then have a go at twisting my arm. Ideally I'd like somewhere with parking but if you know I can get parking on the street without losing my mind every day then let me know about that too. Own bathroom would be the cherry on top, but I will be working varying hours mon-fri so shouldn't get in your way either way.
Hi, I'm moving to Darwin at the beginning of next year for a new job with the Northern Territory government. I'm originally from Orange, NSW and studied in Canberra. I'm active and I like to keep myself busy. I have quite a bubbly personality and I'm a social person but I also like down time. I'd ideally like to find one house mate similar age and interests to share a 2 bedroom apartment with me. I'm very clean and tidy and I have almost enough furniture to furnish the entire apartment. I'm very friendly :-) weekend adventures and chats over tea or wine sound perfect to me :-) See you in Darwin!
I'm a bubbly, fun person and a full-time teacher. I'll be moving to Darwin on the 16th of December. I have spent the last 3 years teaching on Bathurst Island (60km north of Darwin). I've recently accepted a permanent job at a school in Palmerston. I have a gorgeous 2 year old mix-breed dog called Nala. She's an outside dog and loves everyone she meets. Well trained and brings a smile to everyone's face. She's fine inside but is generally an outdoor dog. I've lived in shared housing since moving to Bathurst Island and am clean, tidy and can adequately take care of myself :D I'm a big camper so love getting out exploring on the weekends but also enjoy a relaxed weekend and a few trips into town every so often. Just looking for a place (preferably with a yard) to move into. Not fussed with numbers or genders but would prefer to live with people between 20 and 35 :)
I'm moving back to Darwin from Townsville mid January and looking for somewhere to live. Would prefer somewhere City/Casuarina area. I'll be finishing my last year of Education at uni and I will be working part time. I'm friendly, like a social drink on the weekend, enjoy cooking and the outdoors. No living with couples sorry. Don't mind sharing with guy or girls! :)
I am an Aussie farm girl moving from Victoria for a life style change. I am studying online and will be looking for full time work but do love a good social outing or 5. I am happy, relaxed, easy going and always keep a tidy kitchen and shared areas (my room can get out of hand at times). I love to play and watch sport, love to cook and looooove movie nights but do like to let my hair down (very easily persuaded into a drinking session haha). I am a considerate, respectful and understanding housemate and will do my best to keep quiet if I have been out and housemates are sleeping. I want to make the most of my time in Darwin, whilst taking work and study seriously, I am looking forward to meeting new people and my new adventure.
Hey, I am a young male from Brisbane looking to move to Darwin for a new change. I am looking for a room with a flexible stay, but I am aiming to stay for at least a min. of 2-3 months and potentially longer. Willing to pay up to $215 for a furnished room, preferred with bills included but am flexible. I'm a clean, quiet and respectful person but I do enjoy to socialize so I should be easy to get along with. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm a 26 year old lawyer moving to Darwin to take up a 2 year position at Legal Aid :) I am originally from Sydney but have lived in Melbourne for the past 9 months, before that I volunteered in Darwin for 3 months, so I already know and am in love with the place. I am relaxed, easygoing, love cooking (especially baking), reading, hiking and fitness generally. I've rented with others for the past seven years. I've just bought a 4wd and am keen to go camping and bushwalking. I love to hang out with my housemates but also appreciate the need to have our own space! Looking for something long term but will also consider short term while I set myself up initially. I am driving up from Sydney and plan to arrive around 5 January 2017. I am available to chat/be interviewed over Skype!
Hi all, Im a fun, easy and out going person who is looking for a furnished room to rent preferably with ensuite and covered parking if possible. Im looking at staying 4 months or longer depending on lease etc - I work full time and don't mind a couple of quiet drinks on the balcony at the end of the week. I also go out every now and then but in saying that I'm also respective and quiet, I'm also a clean and tidy person and I don't mind cooking every now and then. I don't watch t.v as much as I prefer music so I wont be in the way as much either.. If you are looking for some one that fits my description to move in, please get in touch. Cheers, Rob
I am moving from Brisbane to Darwin on the 28th of December. I will be starting a new job (two-year contract, full time) on the 3rd January. I am looking for a place to call home for at least 6 months, longer if things are working well. I'll also be finishing off my PhD in 2017, so I need to be able to work at home outside of business hours. I could find my own place, but it's nice to have someone around, even if we don't hang out at home. I enjoy an evening run, bushwalking, reading, and cooking (and I am happy to share the cooking with you). I am easy to live with, organised, tidy, and clean regularly (I own a pink vacuum cleaner). My current and past housemates will testify to this and I can provide references; finding a safe, secure, and peaceful place to live is important to me. I am cat- and dog-friendly. If you live near green spaces or running/cycling paths that would be a bonus.
Easy going 26yo defence worker from Melbourne relocating to Darwin in January. I work Monday to Friday and enjoy a drink or 2 on the weekend and gyming or chilling after work to relax. Would prefer similar age person to share a modern apartment in Darwin with. I have a small amount of furniture already, not enough to furnish an apartment but too much for just a small room in an already established house. I would prefer to team up with someone in the same boat if possible :)
