Hi! I will be working at DHS and will be new to Canberra moving from New Zealand. I like to lift weights, explore new places (and photograph the crap out of them), play board games, watch movies and read. It would be great if we can be friends too as I will be needing some :/ Partial to a few social beers. Cheers.
This recently renovated house has 4 bedrooms (2 with reverse cycle air conditioners), one full bathroom and one ensuite. It has a double lock up garage and large front and back yard. It is pet friendly at the discretion of the owner (I currently have a 8 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback at the property). It has a large open living area with another reverse cycle air conditioner and a gas fireplace. NBN compatible but not currently connected. The house is in a good area situated on a corner block that is across the road from a football field. It is a 5 minute walk (if that) to the Karabar shops. I am looking to find someone to take over the lease of my current rental. Unfortunately my circumstances have changed and I am moving to Sydney. The Lease expires on 20 January 2019. I can move out anytime between now and Christmas depending on your desired date to move in.
Hey my partner and I are pretty chill and quiet, very clean and tidy, always pay bills on time and contrary to most people our age, reliable. Janice is moving from the coast and once moved will have a job ready to go, just needs a residence, I have a full time job as a dental assistant in South Canberra I've had for nearly half a year now. Both enjoy Netflix and gym, don't drink really and can be fun to have a chat with at the end of the day over a cup of coffee. Don't be afraid to shoot a message, happy to live anywhere from north to queanbeyan. Sincerely Olivia and Janice
Fully furnished bedroom. Great views, unlimited internet, shared bathroom, laundry and kitchen. Close to bus stop and shops . 10 min drive to Kingston, 20 min drive to Canberra. Great for graduates moving for work to Canberra or student. Country living with city benefits. Room available 6 October 2017.
G'day, I'm jake! I'm a full time student at Flinders University in Adelaide. I'm looking for somewhere semi rural (at least with a view!) around Canberra because I have secured a paid internship there over the summer university holidays. I'm originally from the Riverland in SA and I'm a classic country boy, complete with ute! I love camping and being outdoors / exploring. I'm fit and go to the gym most mornings. I'm into photography, piano and love to sit around and have a decent chat! I'm very neat and tidy and am respectful to others. I'll probably be out most weekends exploring the new area and taking photographs! I much prefer a phone conversation as it's easier to gauge someone's personality! I hope to hear from you soon :)
My name is Natalia, 25years old, I am currently in France and I plan to move in Australia in the beginning of November for a 6 month stay. I am a PhD student in Physics and I will be in ANU for my last 6 months of PhD. I am quiet and respectfull of ones privacy and freedom. I have a good sense of humour and love to laugh.
This is a nice house with big kitchen and living area. I run a home swim school from downstairs in a 7m indoor pool. The pool can be used when not required by the business. Two friendly mid 30s guys living there at the moment plus small poodle. There is a club about 50m away which does $12.50 schnittos. That's right $12.50 and it includes a beer/wine. If that doesnt excite you, you're probably not the flatmate we are looking for. There is some noise from the pool until 7pm at night weekdays and 4pm weekends although it's not loud and mostly water sounds like splashing. Sometimes it is kids crying though. People do come constantly to the house but they use a side entrance to access the pool. There are also 2 rooms available for $150 with a shared bathroom.
Hey 👋 My name is Sahra I moved to canberra about 5months ago from the Gold Coast. Thought id just try out canberras winter and now looking to stay for the summer. I work as a assistant manager in Housekeeping so i do respect a good tidy house. I like to think im quite easy going, dont have many friends in canberra so i like to explore, theres more outside than in. But i do love a good movie marathon 😁
Hey there, I’m a 23 year old female who’s new to the flat mates world although have been renting for the past 5 years and am used to living with others. I’m currently working full time and begin my degree in February. I like to keep busy so I’m out of the house often. I’m a fun, tidy and respectful person who likes to chat but I also like my own space and I’m always keen to cook up a delicious meal! Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have!! :)
Hi, I have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard) for one person that is AVAILABLE now. The maximum people in the house is two - there are only two bedrooms. I am away often for extended periods (I am a full-time research student) but I will be around more after late October. My house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN limited wireless and 4G. There is off-street parking for two smaller cars and on-street parking is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town (less than 10 minutes) and Queanbeyan railway station is a 15 minute walk. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. Because I have been away a lot, I am looking for someone who is willing to do the garden while I am not there - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do it. You must be a clean and tidy person to live with and actually know how to clean (you'd be suprised...!). I prefer a vegetarian household - i.e. I do not eat meat, fish or poultry - but if you do eat meat then you are welcome to cook meat on the gas bbq that is undercover just outside the kitchen door. I do not want more furniture brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. Bills would be shared with my share being based on a pro-rata basis for when I am there i.e. if I am away for extended periods and not just a weekend or week or two on hols. No animals/pets sorry even though I occasionally have my kelpie come and stay. So you will have to like dogs. She is quiet and well trained. Please do not hesitate to give me a hoy if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful. To know a bit more about me see my uni open access web link at the Fenner School of Environment and Society by doing a Google search. Cheers, Juliana
I am responsible person who keep to myself, unless socialising with others. I am quiet and respectful of others and their space. I am from the United States, so I can amuse you with my American accent :) I have a master’s in Psychology, and currently getting a diploma in Mental health. I currently work at Aquila, in Civic, as a sales associate. I hope to remain in Australia indefinitely.
Hi, I'm Michael. I’m a 26 year old guy, originally from Melbourne but I've been living in our nation's capital for about 5 months. I work in Communications with the public service. Prior to this, I was ski-bumming in Japan for about 2.5 years, and before that I was working as a Communications Officer in Melbourne. I like skiing, music, reading, cooking and the occasional frosty pint. I’m always happy to pull my weight around the house and I like to be fairly clean and tidy. Not super outgoing, but I do have fear-of-missing-out, so normally pretty keen to have a good time/after work drinks if the occasion calls. I have a long-term girlfriend, but she lives over in Japan. I also like to watch AFL, Cricket and re-runs of the Simpsons. Some goods and services I can bring to the place include: - The ability to service and repair skis. - A Netflix profile. - Heaps of novels and classic video game consoles. - my drum kit, but I'm cool if that’s not your thing. Happy to provide references if you’d like, formally lived out of home for three years in Melbourne, and in share-rooms with people of varying cultural backgrounds throughout my time spent in Japan. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you think you’d be interested to have me.
Moving from Wollongong to Canberra to work fulltime at Canberra Hospital. I am friendly, clean, sociable and up for cooking dinner for everyone. I enjoy going out with mates and also quiet nights in, hiking and skiing. Always up for a movie and tv show binge :) I will be available to move in from April 2018.
I'm a friendly, positive, laid back personality who respects others personal space. At the same time I'm great company. Love sport & don't mind watching it on the tv. I like to wind down with the occasional drink after work & am happy for company and a chat from time to time. I like a clean, tidy house. When you use it put it back regime. While I work in finance, I'm studying my Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
