My partner and I have two rooms available in our fully furnished home . The rooms available are similar size, large rooms with built in robes. They both contain a queen size bed, a mattress, side tables and lamps. One also had a flat screen tv in it :) It is a three bedroom house and you will be sharing a bathroom with another person. We have an open living area that is fully furnished with televisions in both dining and the lounge area,a dining table and a large lounge suite. The main television is a smart tv, and therefore has access to Netflix, Stan etc. We also have Foxtel - Entertainment and Sports Package. There is ducted heating and a reverse cycle air conditioner. The kitchen is fully contained, it has three fridges, a walk in pantry, microwave, gas stove top and conventional oven. The laundry is equipped with a two large washing machines, and a number of drying racks. There is a small courtyard with clothes line. There is a bus stop on Buckley street, which is just a short walk away. We have one cat and one dog, both very friendly.

The kitchen/dining/living has high ceilings and great natural light. Although every room has split system heating/cooling, the upstairs is always bright and warm in winter. This side of Essendon is a great area if you're the active type. Just across the street there are walking tracks through Steel Creek Nature Reserve and the Maribyrnong River is less than a 5 minute walk away. There are also cafe's, grocery and retail stores within walking distance. Overall, I'd describe the house as clean and comfortable, with modern furnishings. And the area as liveable, with plenty of open space and parkland.

All common areas are furnished, including a gorgeous sky blue table tennis table in the rumpus room. :D You need to furnish your own room, bring your own linen, towels etc. We have space to store extra furniture if you have it. We don't own a TV. We intend to purchase one for the rumpus room, but the lounge will be a TV-free zone. :) The house has the potential to house up to 8 people (4 individuals upstairs, 2 couples downstairs). We love this sense of community and ‘doing life’ with others, and hope you do, too! Between the 2 huge living areas, big kitchen, 4 bathrooms, private bedrooms and massive backyard, there is tons of space for people to go about their lives in a very comfortable fashion without it ever feeling crowded. What we believe it should be like living here: - Respect, kindness, equality, communication and teamwork are essential elements to making a sharehouse a home. - Inviting friends and family over is okay. This is your home. Please respect other housemates and don't have people over partying at midnight if another housemate has a 6am shift the next day. - Sharehousing is about more than having a place to sleep at night. This is a space where housies get to know each other and share about what they are working towards, or through, and are open to providing/receiving support and conversation ... in a non-invasive way... just talking friendship! - Living in a sharehouse can be lovely, and sometimes it can be too much when combined with real life. Housemates need to feel free to go into hibernation mode and escape from the world and each other when they need privacy, and other housemates need to respect that. - Everybody has a different idea of what 'clean' means. Your bedroom can be as perfect or messy as you like, but all housemates should be contributing equally to maintain the common areas at a standard that is pleasant for everyone (hygienic, usable, livable). That might mean cleaning the bathroom or taking out the bins or washing those few extra dishes that aren't yours. Highpoint Shopping Centre, Airport West Westfield and DFO is a between a 15min-20min drive. The local library and gyms, Anytime Fitness and East Keilor Leisure Centre, are no longer than a 10min drive. Our house is situated at the bottom of a hill with a great view of the park behind the house when the afternoon sun is out. You will be greeted by many dog walkers who make their way to Maribyrnong river. We have barbecues and drinks on the balcony after work or on the weekends during summer, with the company of friends or family. Inside, many of the rooms are already fully equipped with furniture and decor. Your bedroom and bathroom are located on the second floor in seperate rooms. Your bedroom will need furnishing but may be decorated to your taste.
