Female or male housemate wanted for a room available now in a friendly houseshare located in Waramanga. We are seeking a mature, easy-going person to share our comfortable 3 bedroom house in Canberra's mid southwest. Available this week is a single room with views of the garden for $155 pw. The room comes with a builtin wardrobe and NBN speed internet (available over wifi or cable for convenience). All bedding/sheets are supplied including bedsheets, pillows, blanks and doona as well as a side table. The house is well furnished and has all the usual amenities and features a great kitchen with gas cooking and plenty of space to prepare a meal. The lounge-room has comfy couches and an entertainment system, including Netflix and surround sound. Utilities include air conditioning in the common areas, gas space heating for winter, gas hot water and gas cooking. The laundry has a large top loading washer. The back yard has a covered patio with a leafy garden that flowers beautify in summer. We have two sheds for storage. The house is located in a quiet area in a beautiful area, we are directly opposite a bus stop and with direct routes to the city it's only a short ride to the city or ANU. We are in walking distance from a major shopping complex in Coolman court and just a few minutes from the Canberra hospital. Rent is a reasonable $155 pw for the room with garden views. With three people in the house an extra $30 pw contributes to the equally shared utilities cost and household expenses. There is also a bond of $630. If you think you would like this to be your new home then feel free to call, text or message me to arrange a time to come view the place. Looking forward to meeting you.
I'm 26, moving from Adelaide to Canberra for work. I am sociable and keen for a chat over some wine, but respect the privacy of others and am looking for similar housemates. I love dogs but unfortunately can't bring mine across. I like to jog a bit, and go on netflix binges to counteract that. I also like baking. I'll be working full time but will be planning a few weekend trips to the snow and the beach!

Hi, my name is Daniel and I’m 29 years old. I’m from Melbourne and moving to Canberra to take up a public service job. I like to think that I’m clean, friendly and considerate by nature. I'm a pretty good cook and love to share. I am respectful of people’s space and privacy. I enjoy going out for meals, catching up with friends as well as quiet nights at home. I’m new to the area and making friends would be an added bonus to living with a housemate. Would like to stay somewhere close to Woden as it’s close to my workplace.

Hi! I'll just cover the little suggestion box points, and see if that works. I'm Kyle, I moved here nearly two years ago with my partner, we've been separated a few months, and I'm looking to downscale my rental spending. When at home, I'll be relaxing. Immediately changing in to comfy clothing and sitting at my computer, nerding it up. That's not to say I don't love hangouts, I do! And It'd be great to have a housemate(s) to be pals with, as I don't have many friends here yet. My working background is Teaching Creative Industries (Film & TV, Photography) and also I.T. Now though, I work for ACT Gov, at the Community Services Directorate. I'm in the branch that handles training and education for employees, and I manage the learning system and make E-learning programs, educational videos and promotional content. I travel back to Melbourne sporadically to see my friends and family there, and I also help people out of film projects as a side-hobby. Though much less of that happens here now due to the day-job. I do have a few people here that I go out with, or stay in with. But realistically, I'm pretty low impact. Except for my cats. They're my world. And I'm sure they'll be my curse here, trying to get somewhere else to live. One is shy, and you won't see her for at least a month. The other is quite friendly, and he won't leave you alone the second you give in and pass him a potato chip. They're not bad cats, but if you have any small chew-able items on a shelf, the boy is going to put it in his mouth. I'm happy to be honest and elaborate about them both, but I don't think this is the right box for it? Anyway. Thanks for reading!
