need somewhere to settle into before christmas? don't want to live alone? with both current housemates moving interstate for work in november and december I am hoping to find two new friends to make my house great (and not quiet) again. About you: looking for a male or female student or young professional. the ideal person will be tidy, social but also respectful of your housemate's space. ideally you will be chatty and happy to engage in conversations over the dinner table (both shared meals and individual) and wont spend the majority of your time coped up behind closed doors. i am looking for someone who is trustworthy and reliable and willing to continue to make the house a home as well as be willing to help with the cleaning of shared areas. indoor cats will be considered and preferably would like non-smokers. About me: I am 23yr old female, studying education at UC and working part time. hobbies include but are not limited to: cooking, eating, wine drinking while cooking and eating, excessive caffeine consumption, the odd night out, netflix binges, playing/coaching/umpiring hockey. About the rooms: Room 1 (pictured, available december) - will be furnished with a standing wardrobe. This room is a good size and can easily fit a double bed, desk and tall boy. A queen bed also fits well in the room but will limit your floor space. Room 2 (available november) - the larger of the two rooms. can come furnished with a double/queen bed and desk ($180) or empty ($170). This room also has a built in wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. About the house: the townhouse is a private rental (owned by my family) and boasts a large living space, kitchen, toilet and laudry downstairs and three bedrooms, toilet and bathroom (with a working spa) upstairs. as an added bonus unlimited internet AND water are included in the rent. we have also recently had an A/C installed downstairs. within the complex there is plenty of parking however if you're more of a bike/bus/walking kind of human, there is a bus stop 100m from the house as well as paths to the mall, local shops. we are about a 5min drive from the mall, 7min drive from UC, 15mins from ANU and a $27 uber ride from mooseheads. interested? or want to know more? send through a message, I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey! I'm currently studying full-time at UC and working a hospitality part-time job. I have been living in Canberra for nearly 2 years coming from the Central Coast. I like to be social and chat but also like privacy and can respect the same for others. I am clean and willing to pitch in where and when it is needed. I'm easy going and enjoy having or good laugh or listening to some good tunes.
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors. - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social.
I’m looking to find someone who is looking for short-term accommodation until the end of December-beginning of January. Someone who is easy going enjoys chatting (but not too much) tidy and friendly would suit. Professionals are preferred (students still very welcome) as I myself am a professional with a busy work life. You would be living with myself (homeowner), female 24 school teacher and a cuddly little cat. I have two other housemates (male 30 and female 25) who are here until November the 10th and the other late December early January. I'm super friendly, polite and social but not over the top social. I enjoy being active and play sport during the week as well as being lazy and watching Netflix or reading. I'm very easy going and get along with most. The bedroom/s are furnished with a queen bed as well as a bedside table and drawers and built-in wardrobe. The main bathroom would be shared with the other housemate. The house itself has 4 bedrooms (one is a spare room /study), two separate living rooms and a double lock up garage (car space available too). Equipped with all the necessary kitchenware as well as furnishings and washing appliances no need to bring anything but yourself and personal belongings. Ducted heating and cooling available as well as a security alarm. The house is exceptionally tidy and really comfortable and cozy. Please note this is strictly short term and I can not have tenants past January as I host international exchange students for the rest of the year. Located only 10 minutes from Belconnen and 20 to the city or ANU. Look forward to hearing from you Thanks :)
I have a diploma of Music, food safety and road safety qualifications, a working with children check, drivers licence and Mum worksite safety card. All this makes me highly employable and I am looking to move From Melbourne to Canberra asap to see my family and friends more Often (I am originally from Canberra)
I have lived, worked and studied in more than 4 continents. Loved exploring every inch of the culture and history's of the countries I was residing in. Now working in a field that combines my passions and skills into one and I can make a significant difference in society. In my spare time, I am often hiking, riding my mountain bike, surfing or playing a round of golf. I like to meet new people and hear their unique adventures via a well-prepared curry. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Jack

Looking for an amazing human to move into my room and make this beautiful place their home. Your new bedroom is a reasonable size with built in mirrored cupboards for plenty of storage and hanging space. The house has a sizeable kitchen with a huge fridge, double dishwasher, gas stove and oven and is open plan to a comfortable living area that is all fully furnished with comfy recliners and TV with chrome cast. There is one shared bathroom, which has a good pressure shower and bath, plus cupboard space for bathroom things. The bathroom is also home to a top loader washing machine for your use. There is an incredible deck that is fitted out with couches so you can enjoy napping in the sun as you look out over the garden, where our only mandatory job is to mow the lawn (though you're welcome to have a crack at the garden if this is something you fancy). There is also a double garage that has a small home gym and clothes line to hang washing (plus there being extra storage room for bikes/camping gear/etc), as well as there being a clothesline outside. The house has very effective reverse cycle air conditioning making it quick to heat and cool in summer/winter. Water is included in the rent, internet is $20 a month for unlimited and electricity and gas are paid quarterly which is not included in the rent cost. The room has the potential to be furnished with a queen ensemble bed on request. You will live in walking distance from Lake Ginninderra and riding distance to pretty much anywhere (depending on how far you want to cycle).
