UK trained doctor who has just arrived in Hervey Bay. I work a combination of normal days and on-call shifts. I have spent the last 8 years in some form of houseshare or another and have always really loved it. I enjoy a pint. I love a good movie - my dream is to have seen all of the IMDB top 250. I like to go cycling but am keen to try some more of the outdoors activities that Hervey Bay and Queensland have in common. Also... As a side note - I love tiny animals* and may have moved to Australia to spend all my time watching them go about their business... Its been great so far. Except for the damn magpies... *I do not have pets or intend to get any yet.
7 year old house being renovated / refit in Wondunna. 2 normal size rooms with built in robes. 1 Master size bedroom with en suit and walk in robe. One main bathroom in house contains Toilet, Large shower and Large Bath. En Suit in Master contains Toilet and Shower. Kitchen is oversize with tons of bench space and semi commercial gas cook top and over size oven. Two refrigerators for plenty of space. Double Garage. Double roller door over height work shed. 400 sq house on 2200sq block with totally fenced and gated rear. $150 for the normal rooms $200 for the master bedroom (Couples ok for this room). Rent includes electricity, gas, and a share of our 80gb internet. We cannot get ADSL or NBN so we have 4G which is terribly expensive. It will be enough if you are willing to cooperate with the others. All furniture is provided. We have chosen comfortable and easily cleaned furniture and everything is brand new. Doona's covers, sheets and blankets all provided. We have spent a lot of money on the new stuff so it will be your job to help preserve it. Air Con: 10kw in main area (open plan). 4 kw to go in each room. Master has AC now. The sort of people we are after: Any age or sex, no care for your life choices except: Must be healthy minded, friendly, considerate and have common sense (no seriously.. common sense is a requirement). We want someone to tend the gardens and you can garden as much as you like. You can even have chooks if you want. We want someone to make use of the work shed. It is big enough for everyone's hobbies even if you want to pull down your car or bike. Plenty of room. Want to set up a brew ? So do we! We want people who are health conscious or want a healthy environment to become health conscious. Bring your knowledge, your cooking ideas. Be prepared to share some meals and be sociable. How we must run the day to day: The house was stripped down to a shell due to a failed ERMI test (mouldlab). That is coming back at a Q4 but nothing visible growing. It has crashed our health and made us sick. We then discovered we are genetically susceptible. We threw everything away even stuff that looked fine. Its like mold on cheese.. cut off the top and it's still moldy inside.. and often you cant even see it. We pulled up ALL the carpet, washed the entire place top to bottom inside and out, sent the blinds away, and on and on and on. It has cost us a fortune to do this, and the new furniture is now low mold binding meaning very difficult for reinfection of the house. We already had a tiled main area so that was fine. The entire project cost over $20'000 and as this is Queensland with the perfect temperature and humidity for mould, thinking this way is the only way to remain healthy. If we get another Q4 reading it will mean going bankrupt and losing the house. So.. to ensure we do not go bankrupt and lose the house, we are opening to some tenants but you cannot bring anything into the house that could harbor mould. Not that crusty doona you are attached to, not those dodgy pillows. Not grandma's old t-chest etc. We are providing everything but if you want more - you need to buy it new. One bloke called us, wanted to haggle the rent then bring in his old furniture and thought we should risk going bankrupt to suit him. No.. We are also running big air filters so you need to clean, keep your bedroom door open as much as possible etc to help ventilate the place and when closed up, allow the filters to work. We have a cleaner who will be doing all the extra cleaning stuff. He has a sheet of stuff to do on a 3 monthly cycle including cleaning windows, screens, pulling out refrigerators and so forth. We are hard core on the clean thing. You will need to help with the day-to-day cleaning and of course, clean up after yourself (esp, the kitchen). There are no real rules other than to maintain the property and to co-exist with others. there is so much to be had here. A healthy life, relaxing, friendly, plenty of lawns and gardens. Want chooks ? Fine. Want to use the shed ? Fine. Want to park your car under cover.. there is the shed. Pets - Possibly. Talk to me about it. We would prefer long term tenants but short term might be discussed. The property is available in about 2 weeks assuming all goes to plan. Who you are sharing with: The house was designed for sharing (yes it really was), as there is a main bedroom with its own livingroom - down one end of the house. That is my old man and at 78 he still works. He might have driven you in one of the Hervey Bay cabs ! I am 51 and run a business or two.. trying to recover from chronic mould exposure. I will have one of the smaller rooms and a smaller bed as I need a desk. Whilst the house is being re mediated I am living out back in a big tent. Yep.. no kidding. All up there will be 5 or 6 people living here, four rooms gaining rent (inc me). That rent is initially paying off the furniture we had to replace, and then the work on the house. This is not a profit venture in case you were wondering. Rents on the rooms are below the median. You'll be sharing the main bathroom with one other female housemate, Rachel, and you'll have your own shelf and drawer in the bathroom vanity. The bathroom has a bath and shower. There are also two separate powder rooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), so no need to wait if someone's in the shower! :) The room is $90pw unfurnished or $105pw furnished. Bond is 4 weeks rent and you'll need to be approved by the real estate agent who manages the property. We currently just use our mobile phone data for 4G internet, but happy to discuss setting up an internet plan for the house. Water is included in the rent and electricity is shared 3 ways. Were a couple, ages 18 and 24. We work 5 days/ 5 nights a week, so hardly in the house. We have a cat. Both have rental history that we can provide. Preffered unfurnished but if its furnished were happy with that. Will have our own food, so if we could put a fridge if our own out the back or in the shed that would be great.

The house is very comfortable, there are 3 bedrooms, a 4th room that can be used as a study or you can have your own private lounge if you like. The bedroom has built in robes and ceiling fans the main lounge has aircon. There is a very large entertaining area with bbq and large backyard. There is a supermarket within walking distance, 10 min drive to the beach and public transport is 2mins away.
I'm easy going, helpful, considerate and house-trained. I'm looking for a place with like minded people, but I'm working on going back to Brisbane, so I'm looking for somewhere that doesn't mind a short stay roommate. I don't have any furniture and require a furnished bedroom.

I am currently on a carers pension but looking for full time work in Aged/Disability sector, or anything else. I like to listen to music but it's not heavy metal nor will I deafen you.. I love anything with fur and have 3 cats which I will be keeping, so if your pet paranoid I'm not the renter for you. My cats are well looked after, and I have stayed with them in Stayz and Air BnB properties with no problems. I will be working in the Hervey Bay area from October 2017, my work involves long hours and on call so I require somewhere I can relax. I am an extremely laid back and tidy individual who respects other people's privacy, however I love socialising with my house mates and always happy to go for a drink or head down to the beach.
We are super clean and tidy! Chilled and relaxed and very ambitious,Love animals I'm quiet but full of laughs! We like to think we Have a good sense of humor but forever busy working or studying so you'll hardly See us 😇
