Hi there! I'm a country girl who's been living the Sydney city life for a bit over a year, and I'm moving to Canberra to work full time as a nanny, before starting study next year. I love to cook, dance terribly but enthusiastically, garden, and sing. I like quiet nights in and board games, and I'm respectful and tidy. I love animals but don't have any of my own (except a horse, but don't worry, he'll have alternative accommodation. Hoping I find a welcoming and fun place.
Hi there! I'm Tash, I'm 21 and currently in my third (but not quite my last) year studying International Relations and French at ANU. I'm a born and raised Canberra girl, and am looking to move out of home in order to be closer to uni and work (part-time as a swim instructor/coach). I spend quite a bit of time out and about, and can often be found either swimming or at the gym, but I also love to chill out with Netflix and a cup of tea (T2 New York Breakfast, if you're interested). I am a music lover with a taste for all genres, the only strong aversion I have is country music... a year spent on a Midwest college campus in the U.S. did nothing to help this situation. I like to keep organised, which helps my productivity and mindspace (a must when it comes to assessment period) but I am very easygoing and always happy to help out around the house in any way possible! I'd love a long-term place to live, and am flexible with move in dates. Please don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
Hi, I am moving to Canberra in April 2017 after living in Dubai for 14 years - very excited about settling in a new place! I love to have meaningful conversations, reading, learning new things, practicing Yoga and exploring nature. I am respectful of personal space, clean and organised. Professionally, I am a Training and Development specialist, on the look out for job opportunities. Looking for friendly and responsible housemates.
Hi! My name is David, I am 24 years old and I am originally from a small town in NSW called Cootamundra. I am looking forward to experiencing the delights of Canberra (especially the mountain biking) and keen to make new friends! I am easy going, punctual, friendly and always clean up after myself (it's always nicer to live in a clean house). I am also very into skiing and plan to do plenty of trips up to the snowy mountains during winter so if you are into that sort of thing or want to try it out, I'd be more than happy to drive you up!
I'm clean and easy to get alongn with. I'm a happy person who loves to socialise but respect people's space. I have a good job in a community organisation working with children and I love what I do. I have a labrador who loves people and is very well trained. I walk him every morning so he sleeps all day. I love the gym and getting out and about but also love some quite time at home as I read a lot and enjoy watching movies. I'm originally from Brazil but consider myself an Aussie.

Hi, I’m looking to join an existing sharehouse or start one. I’ve been lazily lurking here awhile to see what’s what, but I’m now getting my butt into gear and am actively looking. I’m a non-smoker and am looking for a non-party household. I’m fairly tidy and enjoy a good book, Netflix, going out for coffee and food, Reddit, YouTube and video games. I’m a night owl but I don’t make too much noise. I enjoy a good movie night or family dinner every so often. I manage a retail store at Westfield Belconnen currently and am looking for full-time professionals or reliable students to share with. I’m keen to make a home, not just a house. I’d prefer to live with 1-3 women in their 20s/early 30s but am flexible. I’m okay with including a guy in our house too. If we’re starting a sharehouse, I’d love to get a newer place with larger rooms and a bit of light, but obviously with uni starting back the competition is stiff right now. I come with bedroom furniture and random other bits and pieces for the common areas, though I can get rid of them too if necessary. Shoot me a message to meet up/show me a room. Cheers, Scarlett
The house is very central and there is easy access to public transport, shopping, AIS and the University of Canberra. There is a pool in the garden and plenty of outside space. The room has a single bed, desk, built in wardrobe and central heating.
One bedroom for rent in a quality and spacious house on a quiet street. The shared area of the house is fully furnished which includes fridges, washing machine, microwave oven, etc. Close to bus stops and local shops. A short drive to UC, City, and Belconnen town centre. Looking for clean and friendly people. If you are interested, please make an appointment to inspect the property.
I'm from canberra. I like making music and skateboarding. I have some cool household additions like a projector and a small home music studio. I like to keep clean but i'm not too fussy, and i'm pretty laid back. Looking for a house with sociable roommates. I don't mind if people like to keep to themselves, as i do to sometimes but i would also like to hangout occasionally.
Hey I'm Reilly 19 first year apprentice at Toyota looking for a house in Belconnen with some relaxed and friendly people. In my spare time i like to snowboard rock climb and scuba dive as well as the occasional night out or a movie. Non smoker.
That's a hard question as there are always going to be advantages and disadvantages with living with anyone! So I'll list my advantages for you ! I am extremely easy going, I'm never violent or angry in any way shape or form! I like to Netflix as much as possible that can involve the odd binge or documentary which can take up almost half a life time. In that sense I don't mind relaxing with others! I like food! Whether it's takeaway or something made at home! I used to work in restaurants with Italian cooks and also some eccentric cooks as well so I guess I've learnt abit in that sense. I do enjoy have a beer or two on the weekends so I'm sure if you like that we would be just fine been roommates ! I don't mind noise either so if you are a mid week party animal be my guest! This isn't to say I make a lot of noise. I just can sleep through anything to be honest. Since I'm new to Canberra would be awesome if someone could show me around or if someone is from overseas for you to enrich me with your culture ! As I have many French and Chinese friends ! I do work full time Monday to Friday! So I guess don't expect me to me partying mid week either but as I said before I don't mind if you guys do it a second I can sleep trough anything. I like to try new things and would really like to meet new people as I don't know many people here. If you like message me and I'll send you my full name if it's not already up so you can stalk me on Facebook!
Hi there my name is Alicia I have just returned from travelling Europe and I am just looking for a place for 1 month as I have a place to stay starting 13th April. I would be perfect to help pay rent while you look for a long term housemate! I am easy going ....except I'm super neat haha Non smoker (I wont live with you if you smoke inside) I really love animals of all kinds I am working two jobs part time (but ends up being full time hours) I work as a youth worker and in a cafe I love drinking tea I am Vegetarian but don't care if you aren't I like to cook Any other questions just ask! Prefer a place on north side but not too fussy! Look forward to meeting you!
Hi there, I am a PhD student and Sports Dietitian. Sticking around Canberra for the next 3 years. I have a little cat, but she is very tidy and fully toilet trained. I am fairly quiet and respectful, but friendly. Looking for a chilled/friendly place to live :)
I am a clean and tidy, friendly, easy going, relaxed housemate that is just as happy to socialize as well as do my own thing. Looking for a new place to move in to as soon as possible for at least several months while I am trying to sell my house and buy a new one. I haven't rented for a while but I am always reliable with all rent and bills. I am a builder and have a ute and trailer that I need to be able to park safely and a few tools that I would like to store in the corner of a lock up garage if possible.
I am 26 years old and work full-time in the public service and after work I generally head to the gym, so, some nights I don't get home until after 7pm. During the week I tend to keep to myself but happy to share a meal, drink or a movie on weekends. I am extremely reliable, respectful and helpful - so no issues getting rent or bills out of me :) I have no problem with overnight visitors/boyfriends/girlfriends as I hope people who are okay with me having an overnight visitor a couple nights a week. I currently have household furniture such as, fridge (new), lounge set, kitchen items etc which I am happy to use or to leave in storage and I also have a vehicle I will need to accommodate for. I'm ideally looking for a place, big enough for a queen bed and other furniture, with my own bathroom (preferably an ensuite master room). Happy to move in as of 7 April 2017.
I currently work full time as a dental assistant and casually as a dance teacher. I'm a tidy respectful person who is always up for a chat but still will respect your privacy. I'm not super keen on getting wild 24/7 but I'm okay with the occasional party.
I'm currently 19 years of age turn 20 in September, working in retail over the holidays when school got back will be working as an LSA teacher teaching children with disabilities PE. Love the outdoors, always up for a laugh and drink, like to keep fit, just your average easy going girl get on with anyone and have a contagious bubbly personality. Also am very involved in rugby union train on a Tuesday and Thursday and game days on a Saturday.
We are fun, easy going, tidy and great company. We keep to ourselves quite often but enjoy a good catch up and a few drinks every now and then, although we are a couple we aren't overly affectionate while at home.
I'm a very easy going student currently studying at ANU and working a retail job. I'm easy to get along with, and looking forward to living in a nice relaxed group environment. I tend to keep to myself most of the time, but I enjoy socialising as well. Always keen to play video games, board games, and I love horror movies, but I'm always happy to just chill.
1 bedroom available now. Fully furnished house in shared areas. Washer and dryer for the winter. Single bed available for the room if wanted. Built in robes. Tinted windows and blackout blind, with ceiling fan, ensure the room stays cool despite the summer heat. Oil column fin heater for the winter. Wired and WIFI internet in every room. Sharing bathroom with one other. Price $180 plus $20 a week for bills regardless of Summer or Winter means no bill shock :) This covers electricity and 8mb/sec unlimited internet. Please only download after midnight. ;-) Living with professional 37 and one quiet international mature age student 35 both very relaxed and personable. I've been here 17 years and used to drive for my job, so I know all the secret great spots in nearly every suburb. House photos are from when the house was empty, the verandah now has a BBQ and outdoor settings. A great place to relax. The lounge has a wall of bookshelves and a neglected gym set. There is also a wall foldout queen bed to host family/visitors. Located right next to a major bus route, there are 4 routes which go to Belconnen via College St, so it's easy to cross the road at University of Canberra, to catch a 300 to the City for ANU. Swimming pool and gym in the complex. The location is a very short walk to Kaleen shops. From the balcony you can view through the trees to a cycling track. Uni of Canberra, Australian Institute of Sport, Calvary Hospital are all very close. Ad is current, I will remove the ad once the room is rented.
One of your best housemates garenteed; even a new good mate 😁😁 Respectful, reliable and honest. Really easy going, fun and down to earth. Moving from Jindabyne nsw

We'll get along great if you love FRIENDS (show), cards against humanity, game /movie nights , nice sound system, moviebuff, and can hold up a conversation. Youll never have to ask me again for : rent or bill payments, cleaning up after myself, doing my chores, being considerate of others routine and work. If i sound like a good fit for your house, hit me up
Heya! Looking to move ASAP I am a full time student at ANU, and work 2 part time jobs. I also like to sell my drawings for a bit of extra cash :) I am super chill, but like to keep things nice, clean and tidy. I work and study a lot so I might not be around heaps; but Im really easy to get along with. I used to go to boarding school so I am accustomed to living with heaps of people and will definitely be respectful of your stuff/ space/ everything :) I am a vegetarian and mostly like to cook on my own, but I am more than happy to do shared meals or something... usually works out cheaper that way anyway. I have a lil kitten called Hector. He is a cornish rex... I am allergic to cats, but he is hypoallergenic and I don't have any problems with him. These cats are typically dog-like and VERY affectionate, but if you don't want him in your room/ certain areas of the house, I'm sure we could work something out :) At present I am teaching him how to fetch and I am (very very slowly) working on a high five! He's super entertaining and always a welcome study break. Send me a message if you're interested/ feel free to ask me ANY further questions. Cheers, Zo
I work part time in Sydney but study at UC so I spend a little more than half the week in Canberra. I'm studying architecture and am relatively tidy and quiet. Pretty flexible with living situations happy to live with anyone.
Hello! My name is Emma I work full time in the public service. I enjoy relaxing with a drink with my friends on weekends, I love music, art and good food but am a fairly terrible cook myself. I'm an outgoing person and am looking for a house with a considerate, kind and easy going vibe.
Hi potential future housemates. My name is Meg, and I'm a beginning teacher. I'm looking for a pet-friendly place to call home, preferably in the Belconnen area. About me: I'm a 28-year-old female. I'm vegetarian, but don't mind what you eat. I'm fairly left-wing and non-religious. My interests include art (mostly sculpting), walking and running, reading, writing, watching TV/movies, drinking tea, discussing politics/philosophy/the meaning of life, chilling with friends, outdoor adventures, board games, and experiencing new things. I'm starting out in my teaching career, and will probably be focussed on work over the next few months. I am fluent in Auslan (Australian Sign Language). I have a car and a motorbike. About my pets: (it sounds like a lot, but you'll only really see the dog) 1 Dog (young bichon frise) - Micky is a small, hypoallergenic (non-shedding) dog who will probably live with me part-time. He is young (8 months), and training is ongoing, but is friendly and loveable. He is an inside dog, and will need a dog door and a small yard. He is attending puppy school. He would probably love another dog for company, but I would have to see how he gets on with other pets before committing to a place. I have no idea how he would get on with a cat. 2 guinea pigs - Titian and Smudge are male guinea pigs. They live exclusively outdoors. They will need a semi-sheltered section of yard for their hutch. Beyond that, you won't notice they exist unless you choose to interact with them (in which case, they are quite cuddly). 3 cockatiels - I have three cockatiels that live in a movable cage. They are used to living indoors, but could be relocated to a sheltered outdoor area (such as a covered verandah). Cockatiels can be quite noisy. Again, you would not have to have any interaction with them unless you chose to. I'm looking for: A room, granny flat or studio in a place with a yard and a small dog door. I have a car, a motorbike and a pushbike. I'm happy for my car to be parked on-street, but would prefer my motorbike and pushbike to be out of sight of the road. I'm looking for laid-back housemates who are happy to hang-out occasionally and have a chat, but are also happy to do their own thing. My budget is up to $200/week, but would pay more if bills are included. If you're interested, you can contact me on *oh for to five nine three oh seven ate ate* (written this way so it's not picked up by spam bots).
Hi there, I moved from Adelaide to Canberra to work full-time at CSIRO. I'm quiet, friendly, and respectful of people around me. I live a pretty minimalist lifestyle (clean, tidy, no clutter!), and like having a chat at the end of the day, but I also like my alone time, and respect that other people need this as well! Though my background is in science, I also have a love of the arts - music, film, books, photography.

We have a fully furnished modest self contained large bedsit studio available on the ground floor of our house in Kaleen. The room is fully carpeted other than the tiled entrance and tiled bathroom. There is car parking space available in the drive way - sorry nothing undercover. Furniture includes: queen size bed and bed linen 3 seater lounge Dinner table and bench seats 2 study/computer tables a study chair 3 large (double) wardrobes (so plenty of storage) Three large (floor to almost ceiling) book cases Wall unit Electric fans and electric oil heaters. There is a direct bus to Civic (route 30) but it is more time efficient to catch a bus (routes 250 or 30) from outside Kaleen High School which is right next door to us (pathway and parkland between us) to Radford College and cross the road to catch any of the regular (every 10-15 minutes or so) 300 (300, 312, 313, 314 etc) buses to Civic from there. The 300 buses all go past ANU (Kaleen in 10 km from the ANU) . Cost: $250/week covers everything including utilities such as gas for the ducted heating, water and electricity. Internet and phone are not included. No couples. Room is for a single person only. We are after a quiet person such as a serious student and welcome students from overseas. No smokers and no pets please. Our family consists of two adults (both public servants) and 15 year old twins plus a beautiful Belgian sheepdog.
