My partner and I (I'm 19 he's 22) are both living in a rental home in Capalaba with another girl. We've all been living together for just under 2 years now! So we have the main house and then a semi self contained granny flat out the back, which is what we are offering up for rent :) it contains a living area which includes a plentiful amount of cupboards, bedroom with more storage and a wall mount for a Tv, a showeroom/toilet and a carport. There is no kitchen in the granny flat, but you are absolutely more than welcome to use the kitchen inside the main house or our own washing machine :) We have two dogs (kelpies) who are so so loving, but also very very energetic, so please be kind to them as they are both only 1 year old. We have a spare room inside the main house with a double bed which you'd be more then welcome to use for any of your visitors. The price we've set for the granny flat is $250. Our lease ends in 2months, but you are absolutely more then welcome to move in now :) which would mean we would split rent 6 ways until the lease ends, giving you the opportunity to save a little bit of cash, so that would make it approx. $164. When the time comes and we all sign the new lease to the property, you will be required to pay bond, which will be 4 weeks worth of your rent :) I can show you photos of the property on request. Fully Furnished apartment as the downstairs part of traditional Triple Gable Bardon house. I am a 38yr old, single professional male. I live upstairs with my three kids who are with me half the time. The flat is beautifully renovated, with quality finishes throughout like hardwood floors and marble bench tops. There are two modest sized bedrooms with good sized built in cupboards. One bedroom has a queen sized bed (I can supply the linen), and draws, the other has a large desk. The furnishing has changed a little since these photos above. There is a small kitchenette with fridge, convection microwave, induction hot plates and small appliances. All crockery and cookware already in place. The bathroom is a good size with large shower, lots of storage, and a front load washing machine. The living room has a three seat sofa and armchair, dining table for two and a 40" Sony TV. Bardon is a beautiful suburb, well connected to the city with regular bus services. It's only $13 Uber to the CBD, so it's a great location for a night out. We have a large park within 250m, great running tracks along the creek and a cool cafe over the road. Would suit someone who is looking for a beautiful secure home close to the city. I have a strong preference for a normal person. You know; no crazy parties, no weird behaviour. Over the last four years I have had the good fortune to have a wonderful international student and then a professional woman. My ideal tenant would be long term, educated, interesting and easy to get along with. Might suit a uni student from the country, international student, single working person. I'm open to pets, but I have high expectations of behaviour. I wouldn't allow a loud or destructive dog . The downsides. The living room of the granny flat is partially overlooked by the upstairs entrance hall. Security is good, but the privacy of the living space isn't perfect. When I built it, I did a lot of work to minimise sound from upstairs with specialised insulation and more, but you would still know when I am home. All bills including high-speed cable internet included. Possible upsides: If you are new to Brisbane the kids and I would be happy to show you around our favourite places and help you get settled.
