Big cosy house with a wood fire (and free firewood from our farm), great kitchen with two stoves and two fridges. beautiful gardens and productive vege garden... and room to grow your own... Very close to Mount Majura reserve . great for bush walking or mountain biking. there are two very well behaved dogs here who spend most of their time outside or on the back of my ute. lovely quiet suburb, yet still close to the city and ANU. Hackett shops are about an 8 min walk or 2 min ride.. Dickson shopping centre about a 10 min ride. feel free to get in touch and ask questions!
I work at 99 bikes in Mitchell. I am originally from the south coast but have been living in Canberra since the beginning of 2017. I love climbing (mainly bouldering) as well as cycling and exercise in general. I love music and couldn't live without it. I finished high school last year and start at ANU in 2020 doing a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Software Engineering. I also recently just returned from 3 months backpacking around Europe! I am not a huge partier and I'm a pretty chilled out person. I like talking and meeting new people but also need my own space and time every now and then. I'm not fussed about the ages of my flatmates (though I'd prefer sub 35 years old).
Hello! Im looking for some short stay accommodation in Canberra for 1 month from the 21st of February to 21st of March. I have some flexibility on dates. Looking for accommodation because my university semester starts on the 24th of Feb but my accommodation isn't available from that date. Would be great for anyone with a spare room wanting to make some extra money for a month. I have been living in a share house for the last 2 years and I am very clean and respectful. Feel free to message me with any questions! :)
Hi I'm Steph, 31, originally from Victoria but have been living along the east coast and overseas for too many years to be considered a proper Victorian anymore. I'm working as an ecologist/research scientist, starting a position at ANU come December but currently am in France teaching a Masters course (so excuse the odd hour, I'm 10 hours behind). The perks of the job include fieldwork out in the desert and up in the mountains, so I get to travel a bit and love it. I keep a 9 - 5ish work week but with fieldwork can be away for 2 - 3 weeks. I'm a relaxed, outgoing, open minded, and happy to have a chat (science, nature, art and modern takes on philosophy are my jam), but also respectful of other people's space. On weekends, I like to get outdoors whether it be hiking, bike riding, gardening, catching up with friends or playing soccer, but definitely indulge in cafe culture, gigs and lazy days every now and again. I'm perpetually in pursuit of finding the best laksa, and almond croissants, and cook mostly plant based meals at home, I like to cook for others, but probably have a higher than usual tolerance for spicy food so fair warning. I bake sporadically, certainly not a contender for The Great British Bake Off. I'm looking for a cosy environmentally conscious home with some lovely people to share it with. I come bearing an eclectic collection of spices, pizza stone, slow cooker, mixer and good knives.
I'm a recent school leaver, graduating from Year 12 and heading to Uni for studies. I am a trained lifeguard and have a passion for helping others and doing all sorts of good things. I love exploring the outdoors, going for walks, swims, anything outdoors I'm in. Also love chilling back at home especially during the weekdays.
Hi! I am a Vis Art/ Art History graduate working in the field. I really enjoy my downtime and the ability to slow down at home. In saying that, I am also fairly spontaneous with my time and my routine isn't all that regular. I love a good, non-pretentious convo of ideas, thoughts and interests. I'm a really curious person and love to learn new things so can be always be found attempting to delve into a new project or activity. I do a little bit of gardening from time to time but nothing crazy. I like my home environment to ease pressure from day-to-day stress so I like to keep clean and tidy and am considerate of the fact that my space is your space. I have a loving, 5yo camp dog named Basquiat. She has a lot of character and brings plenty of joy to the home. She is very well trained and tends to keep to herself, but craves human comapany and loves a good game of tug-o-war. If you have any more questions about us, please don't hesitate to ask!
Hi my name is Ruby, I’m an apprentice chef working full time. I have 2 jobs; one in Yass during the day and one in Canberra during the night. I live in the country but I’m looking to move to canberra closer to work. I’ll be working 7 days a week (day and night shifts) in the city. A little bit about myself: I’m a very organised person. Very clean and tidy. I love to cook and clean and maintain a clean and tidy room/house. When I’m not working I’m usually in the kitchen baking or cleaning. I’m not the social type, i’m very shy and tend to keep to myself. I’m looking to rent preferably my own apartment /studio/granny flat but I am willing to rent a share house with 1 or 2 females. Rent needs to be affordable as I’m on apprentice wages. I don’t need wifi as I have a 100gb plan. I only need to stay for 3 months! Looking for a place close to the city. Need to move in ASAP! Thank you
I'm a fourth year at ANU studying PPE and Music. I do work part-time, but most of my time is spent working on the record label I run down here (warm water.) 🙂 I also study full time, so I'm out and about most days, but love coming home to a cup of tea and a catch up when people are feeling it! not a huge nightclub person so don't often come home too late, but don't mind a cheeky beer/glass of wine if it's going. I've also been a part of the pastoral care team at college for the last two years, so I love meeting new people and I'm definitely one to stay on top of any necessary responsibilities (with a healthy amount of chill in the mix) 🙂
I am a young professional moving to Canberra early 2020 from NSW to start her career. I am a tidy, friendly homebody who loves animals, movies and food. Ideally, I am looking for 1-2 housemates close to Canberra City who are social and friendly. I am hoping to find housemates similar to myself who are happy to hang out but also understand that everyone needs quiet time. If you have a dog, that's an added bonus as I will be leaving my beloved dog back home with family.
Hi there I'm Lachlan, 29 and a full time public servant. I'm on the hunt for a new share house as my current roomie has gone and bought a place. Here's a quick run down of me: - I'm a well trained housemate skilled in cleaning, bill paying and anything around the yard, - I have hobbies that keep me busy so I'm often out of the house (mountain biking, State Emergency Service, picnic'ing), - Enjoy a chat over dinner / breakfast - My partying days are behind me, but I'm easy going on having friends / partners over etc. - I get along with just about everyone, and especially pets. Get in touch if you think we would get along! Cheers Lachlan
Hi I am a going to be returning to Canberra after a semester abroad and will be entering my 3rd year at ANU. I will be working and studying a lot however I do enjoy a board games night or a night out here and there! I’m a non-smoker, so would prefer a non-smoking house. I love travelling and as soon as I save up enough money I will probably be booking my next trip! I’m planning to be returning to Canberra some time in February 2020, if you have a spare room for me send me a message and we can chat!
