Hey there, my name's Ajit, I'm a Melburnian who'll soon be moving to Canberra (around February 11-12) to begin a Masters degree at ANU. I'm looking for a place to stay during my degree (up to February 2018 preferred). I'm a clean and friendly tenant who's respectful of one's space and privacy. I can keep my room in a bit of a clutter, but I'm quite aware of cleaning up after myself in shared areas, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. As a student, I'll be studying at uni mostly but will also spend time studying at home and working part time on the side (as an uber driver/hospo). I'm an average cook and do enjoy cooking for myself, but am also happy to share a meal now and then. Also enjoy a bit of banter after uni/work. I haven't moved out of Melbourne before so I'm keen to make new friends. If you're interested, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you :).
Conveniently located just 1 min from the number 2 bus line (20min to city), 5 min walk from Hackett shops and 20 min walk to Dickson, the house is close to facilities without the bustle of the city. The house is also super close to the nature reserve, and has a beautiful native garden, so we are surrounded by wildlife. The room available is the master bedroom. It's a good size, with built in wardrobes, ceiling fan & floor heating.
The property itself is a gem, perfect for students. Air conditioning, dishwasher, solar powered hot water so utilities are cheap. The property is in a quiet street, neighbours are really friendly and has its on community shops with IGA supermarket just a 2minute walk away incase you forget something when your out. Bus stop and routes are also located at the shops. If you like hiking, Mt Majura and Ainslie is in your backyard with plenty of great treks and scenery. This property is close to civic, a 5minite drive to Dickson shops and Braddon is always a bonus if you like going out to eat or shop. It's not far from university, 10minute drive to UC or you can bike to ANU. The room is a medium sized bedroom at $155/week + ultilities and internet access. It easily fits a queen and drawers. The house is mostly furnished, but can fit more if need and is a shed for storage if you have additional furniture. All you need to do is bring your bedroom and personal belongings.
My partner and I are looking for a household close to ANU, where I study Environmental sciences, and my partner studies mathematics, both in our final year. We plan to stay around in Canberra after we finish up uni to pursue jobs in the public service and academia. Previously, we have been living in a shared Unilodge apartment. We aren't fussy about size as we have lived in small areas before without issues.
I've just moved to Canberra to do my PhD at ANU. In my free time I enjoy lots of activities including swing dancing and scuba diving. I would like to live with people who have previous experience living in a Sharehouse. Generally, I like to keep relatively clean for shared areas of the house (I have found cleaning rosters work great in the past). Looking for friendly housemates who are easy going and who will occasionally want to share a meal or end of day debrief. I don't have any pets but I love animals so happy to live with them and provide cuddles. Let me know if this sounds like you :)
Hey there, my name is Padraig which is pronounced ridiculously thanks to it being a Gaelic name and there being very poor interplay between English and Gaelic phonetics. I'm from Melbourne originally and moved up to Canberra recently to begin a Grad program with the Federal Government. I'm employed as an ongoing APS4 so I will be reliable with all bills/rent, promise! Regarding me personally I am a sociable, neat, and caring person who enjoys getting to know people, drinking (where appropriate), playing card and board games of which I own far too many, getting excited over/petting basically every dog I see, and coffee because some Melbourne stereotypes exist for a reason. I am a mean pasta cook, but also inherited the Great British Fry Up from my Brummy father which I would be excited to share with you!
Hi I'm from New Zealand, I am an early childhood teacher.I love a chat over a cup of tea or a wine. Im quiet, tidy and clean. I enjoy the Canberra bicycle tracks and coffee out. I don't watch a lot of tv but do enjoy a movie. I'm easy going but like my quiet time.

Hey! I'm Tom and I'm 22 and a first year student at ANU studying Political Science. I've studied a year of psychology at Wollongong back in 2014 and am looking forward to recommencing study. I enjoy music, reading, Aussie Rules football, having a beer with mates, and relaxing in general. I'm tidy but also easy going, I'm very independent but also enjoy hanging out with a wide variety of people.
Hi, I'm Harriet, I am from Sydney and am moving to Canberra for a graduate program in the APS. My move in date is flexible, but would be sometime in February. I am not sure what length of lease etc I'm looking for but open to different options, i will be looking to definitely stay in Canberra for at least one year. I am looking for a share house in the inner north/inner south of Canberra, close to work so i can bike ride. Outside of work I like to play team sports, go on meanders/walks in the bush, swim, find great lunch/dinner spots, watch Netflix, read and so on. I consider myself pretty easy going, clean and tidy and am looking forward to living in Canberra. During the working week I am a laid-back kind person so would love some people to relax at home with and share a meal who also won't mind if I chill in my room sometimes. I am open to furnished or unfurnished options. I look forward to hearing from you so let me know if you have a room or need a housemate to find a place with!
Hi Ya'll Leea and myself are looking for a third amigo to complete our holy trinity (third team up member); so that we can fulfil our destiny of leasing a 3 bedroom place- which we're aiming to be around ANU or the surrounding suburbs. Location is highest on the priority list, along with aircon/heating systems for the place as...I'm gonna say it... winter is coming... oh and also we're looking at a place ASAP (12th of Feb at the latest). Our budgets are set at $200 and about $250-275 each (all inclusive), I'd also be keeno beano on an ensuite for me, myself and I; but it's not crucial at all and I'm happy to let that one go to make things work with the right people. So you bring yourself and we'll bring the beers and the troops will bring the freedom ;) I may also have rice nibblets for you if you agree to this sacred pact of wolf packedness. Now if you'd like to know more about us individually, we did have our individual listings set up before deciding to activate our wonder twin powers. https://flatmates.com.au/F1767871 (Leea) https://flatmates.com.au/F1774306 (Myself) If all this sounds good to you then feel free to come on down. From there we can schedule meet ups to make sure we like each other (I'm happy to skype too) and we can go from there, but do remember we're trying to get the ball rolling ASAP :) We've already started to line up some nice places we wanna look at contacting.
I love meeting new people. really friendly and outgoing. I am very tidy. I am studying full-time as a Beauty Therapist at a Beauty Academy in Hackett. I am new to Canberra and would love to meet new people and make a few friends.

Hi there! I am a fourth year university student studying law/international relations, who has just come back from a semester abroad in Hong Kong and am looking for place where I can finish off my degree. When it comes to household living I am tidy and am always happy to help out with general cleaning and things like garden maintenance etc - I also don't own enough stuff to have a messy floor anyway! I like to stay active and be out of the house early to cycle or jog, and enjoy the gym as well. I love playing guitar (while being conscientious of others), reading history books and am a generally sociable and friendly person (I think at least). All the best, Jeremy.

Hi all, I'm a teacher who's recently returned to post-grad study, and I will be moving to Canberra to make the most of the benefits of being on-campus. I'm very easy-going and happy to do my own thing but also don't mind a chat in the evenings. I've been living in sharehouses for the past 10 years in Sydney and am very adaptable, clean, tidy and considerate of others' personal space. I love to cook, grow veges, read and watch netflix. I also love riding my bike, bushwalking, sailing, making a fool of myself at beginner dance classes and generally getting out and about. I have lots of kitchen appliances, but not much furniture. Moving down from Sydney to Canberra and interested in either finding a new place with someone or moving into an already established household. I'm into my sports and pretty laid back and easy going. Have spent the majority of the last 7 years living in shared accommodation with people my age so used to being able to share and take care of joint living areas. Always up for a drink or just a quiet night in watching movies and TV. Have my own bed, drawers, desk, cupboard and TV so don't need the room to be furnished, tho it could save on the removalist costs!
I am moving over to canberra to join the APS . I am always happy to have a chat, enjoy a drink and share a meal . I am fairly easy going and am more than willing to pull me weight around the house.
I am a recent graduate from ANU currently working full time in IT. I am quite responsible, clean up after myself and enjoy socializing and hanging out over the weekends.

Moving from Brisbane to Canberra to start studying a masters at ANU this February. Ideally would like to have a place to live sorted by the end of January. I like to keep busy with study (well procrastinating), working and volunteering most of the time but I also like to unwind with a beer at home and hanging out with housemates from time to time. Mostly keep to myself but always willing to pitch in around the house/do my fair share of the work. Can usually be found reading, bushwalking, going to gigs or seeing stand up, or binge watching things on Netflix. Interested in team ups with other people looking around North Canberra so get in touch if you're interested as well.
Emi - I'm an (initially) shy half-Japanese-half-Aussie student from Sydney about to undertake my first year of university at ANU (Bachelor of Science). I play piano, guitar and sing; and enjoy powerlifting and swimming. I'm a qualified lifeguard - so you'll have someone in the house that knows First Aid and CPR - haha! I like a clean house and am often prone to being a super neat freak when I'm stressed, but when I'm not stressed, I'm a normal kind of clean. Very easy-going but dedicated student when I have to be. Luke - I'm an Aussie bloke moving to Canberra to study at ANU. I like powerlifting and gaming in my free time even though I'm terrible at both. I'm pretty laid back as well, which is a good thing most of the time. Together - We are a respectful couple that won't make you feel like you're third-wheeling. We have already been living together so there won't be any 'first-time-living-together-fighting'. We both enjoy existential questioning, deep conversations and debating in differing opinions...so would love if you could join in!
Hi there! My name is Elley and I am a 22 year old student studying social work and working part time. I have recently moved back to Canberra after living away for about 4 or 5 years and am looking for a new place to move into. I am a pretty laid back girl, who loves getting out and about, playing sport and having a chat. I am looking for housemates who enjoy spending time together, having a chat and a casual drink together on the weekend. Would be keen to have a chat if you think we would get along!
I'm a student currently studying education at UC. I work Wednesday and Thursday afternoons as a nanny in the Gungahlin area. I'm friendly and tidy and have lived in share houses before. Looking for a team-up with someone who will do their share of house work and is easy to get along with. I spend my spare time going to the gym, playing videogames, working on little craft projects and getting way to invested in cartoons. I can't cook for shit but I'd love to socialise over takeout and a few drinks.
Hi folks, I'm moving from Perth to Canberra for a job starting early Feb. I'm an easygoing, clean gal and am sharehouse trained. I love gardening, especially growing my own veg, cookups, wine and endless cups of tea. Looking for a house with others who are social but not a party house somewhere in the inner north.
Recent uni grad, moving to Canberra for a new job. Looking for a place to call home. Like to stay at home just as much as I like to go out. I have a few friends in Canberra but will be looking to make more and would like a place where it's ok to have them over for a drink or a BBQ (and for you to join us).
I'm a South Australian Librarian, recently moved to Canberra and am working for Federal Government. I stick to my room and am a considerate, and clean housemate. I'm a musician and a gamer, however I won't play music loudly unless you're not home. I don't eat meat. I have the most beautiful, gentle and sweet adult cat, who is impeccably trained and thus is easy to live with. I love coffee and do enjoy a drink, but I don't host any parties. I'm serious about having a place with good internet, air conditioning and heating. Importantly, I'm willing to do all the ground work to find a pet friendly house that isn't too far from Civic. Ideally I am looking for a housemate that is around my own age. If you feel like we'd work as housemates, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I just moved from melbourne for my full time employment. Very much sociable and outgoing. Keeping the house clean is very important. will respect privacy and give the required space needed.

Thanks :)
Hey! I'm moving to Canberra for a full time public service job. I'm originally from Wollongong, and i'm a laid back, tidy and respectful person. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, and hanging out with friends, and would love to find a place where my housemates are always up for a chat and a drink or two, but still respect each others privacy. If you think we'd be a match it'd be great to hear from you!
