Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. this is non negotiable too. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors (highly preferable, but could be overlooked if everything else was perfect) - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live with infants, young children, or a family/home stay style arrangement. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin, Dunlop, Harrison, or Crace - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
Hello, We are Tanya and Henry! :) We are two students: Henry is doing his PhD and Tanya is studying law at ANU. Tanya has a dog, Rocky, who will be living with us. Rocky has pet references from living in an apartment this year, and the landlord has been really happy with the condition of the house and how well we’ve kept the place. His details are available on request. We have been friends for three years now and we too come with references from our previous landlords. We both have part-time jobs and parents who are able to help us with rent. We are clean and conscientious tenants and will take care of the property because living somewhere nice is important to us. Please let us know if you want to know anything more about us! Looking forward to hearing from you! Warm regards, Tanya & Henry
I here for an Aurora internship and am pretty interested in society at large. In Adelaide I volunteer with an environmental organisation. I really love music and like having quite a bit of fun. I’m in 4th year at Adelaide university and study law/ anthropology / French. I like a clean shared space and am pretty tidy. I just died my hair bright orange and am adjusting to the consequences. At least you’ll know who to blame if there’s an unreal orange hair in the shower. (Which there won’t be because I’m tidy ;)
I’m a Full time student at the Canberra Institute of Technology and I also work part time in Ainslie. I’m moving out of my student accommodation in December and looking for a new place to call home 😊
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
Hi! My name's Islay, and my partner's name is Jacob. We're looking for a 6 month to 12 month (or more) place that is within around 15mins drive to the city (if possible)! We're laid-back, chill people who are looking forward to a fresh living space. A little about us: We both study at ANU - I study science (biochemistry and cell/molecular biology) and Jacob studies engineering (renewable energy and theoretical physics [he's definitely the smart one!]), which is what takes up most of our time during the week. On weekends, we both work our respective jobs. We're a busy couple, but in our down time we like to cook together, take walks and watch movies (usually sci-fi). Please let us know if we sound like the kind of people you'd like to share with. We're always up for a chat :)
Hi All. I am a tech-enthusiastic, easy-going guy from Tasmania. I'm currently studying video game design, programming and small business management, and am very close to owning my own small studio in video game development. In my free time, I normally play video games, go to the cinema, or develop video games (It's my job and my passion). I'm a non-smoker, non-drinker, independent, tidy, organised, always pay on time, and enjoy genuine conversations. I'm planning to study in Watson ACT during 2018, and therefore i am looking for accommodation nearby for 1 year, starting around late January. I'd also be up for "teaming up" for accommodation. Hope to hear from prospective flatmates. :)
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. Currently I'm finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle, then will be travelling in Europe for a couple of months and moving down to Canberra after the new year. I start work on January 31 but happy to move in earlier and get settled into a place. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, open for a chat and just generally laid back.
Easy going, social, shared before, studying full time. Like people, pet friendly. I'm starting a masters at ANU Jan 22 and won't be arriving in Canberra until Jan 20.
Hi there! I'm a full-time student at ANU who also works. That means I'm pretty busy during the day but like to have a chat with my housemates when I get home, but also value privacy. My interests are (at risk of sounding like an e-harmony ad); cooking delicious food from scratch such as pizza, pasta, and muffins; going to the gym when I can and hiking Canberra's beautiful mountains, as well as hanging out with friends!
Hi, i am azhari, i will commence my study at ANU in Jan 2018, my wife will join me at March 2018. I need a place that allowing couple to live (granny flat/studio are preferred, but a room will be OK too). We're just ordinary couple from indonesia (just ask the other person about indonesians), always smiling, enjoy friendship, cleanliness, but also need a privacy. My budget is max 250/week, i am a DFAT sponsored posgrad students, so the rent pay will not be late.
Hey all, I'm 22 and a recent graduate moving to Canberra in 2018 for a full time job. I'm fun, respectful, and happy to hang out but also enjoy my own space. I am looking to move in somewhere for at least 12 months with people who are social, relaxed, and fun to be around. Send me a message if you have any questions :)

I am an approachable and friendly person. I am clean and respectful. I am studying Primary Teaching and I am a qualified makeup artist, currently working in retail makeup. I'm 20 years old and am looking to move out of home. I am after a place that is relatively permanent (one year or more). I am looking to move our early next year.
Hiya, The house is in Ainslie (14 mins by bike to ANU, 5 mins to Dickson shops, and a 2 minute walk to a bus stop on the number 2 route). We're looking for anyone clean and friendly, but we're also fine with someone who wants their own space. The room will fit a single bed a desk or just a double bed. It doesn't have built in storage, but we can provide a wardrobe. Water is included, but electricity, gas and internet are separate. Internet is $15/month for unlimited usage and electricity/gas is around $200 per quarter in winter and less in summer. Let us know if you're interested, and we look forward to hearing from you!
I’m looking to rent out my room in our awesome little sharehouse in Dickson from Nov. 20th to Feb. 15th (I can a bit flexible with dates). It’s $150/week, right on the bike path to ANU and the city, and a couple of minutes from Dickson shops. It’s close to lots of bus routes as well, and is pretty quiet. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there’s a really comfy living room, shared bathroom and a big back yard with a bbq drum. The room has a bed, desk, storage space, mirror etc.
Located in Watson: A brand new, fully-furnished house with 3 bedrooms. One bedrooms presently occupied by high-school students. Now available is a twin share bedroom. The price is for full board, all meals included. Bright, spacious living. Brand new furniture, a wardrobe in every bedroom. Reverse ducted air-con; very warm in winter, cool in summer. With only a 2-min walk to Watson shop, the Knox Cafe and bus stop to UC and ANU; 10 minute walk to Dickson Shopping Centre (Canberra's China Town). There's also easy access to the up coming light rail, restaurants at Dickson, Dickson Library, swimming centre and the Labor Club. Electricity, water and gas are included in rent! Would suit full-time tertiary students. International students are welcome.
Being in Ainslie means it is conveniently located, with shops and bars within walking distance, and a short ride/drive/bus to the City, Braddon and Dickson. The room is huge with a large built in wardrobe, with room for a king bed and a bit more furniture. The room has a full en-suite with spa bath and twin shower. Rent is $219 per week, paid fortnightly. Other costs are: Internet ($17 per month) and Cleaning ($20 per fortnight). Electricity and water bills are split evenly between 5 people. The room is available from the start of December, although this can be negotiated to earlier if needed. This is the best value share house you will find!

I'm an Australian male in his mid-30s just moved to Canberra. I have funding for about 2 years to do research, broadly in the area of sustainability, at the ANU. I'm a quiet but friendly guy happy for a chat or a shared dinner but also respectful of others' personal space. Favourite hobbies are outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, climbing, etc.) and dancing (lindy hop and blues). I am vegetarian but OK with meat being cooked in the same house! I've previously sharehoused in Canberra and Germany. The last couple of years I've been living by myself (in Sweden, where sharehouses are not so common) and while it's nice I do miss having people around!
*NO LONGER LOOKING FOR A PLACE * Hey, my name's Daniel! I'm a psychology graduate working full-time in the public service. I've been living in a 4-person sharehouse in Braddon for the last 1.5 years, with great housemates. Our lease expires on December 4th though, so I'm looking for a new place to move to around then. WHAT LOCATION I'M LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for a place within walking distance to the Canberra Centre, or somewhere close to a bus stop. THE HOUSE/ROOM I'M LOOKING FOR: The place I'm looking for would ideally have an ensuite, covered parking space, dishwasher, washing machine, and a bedroom with enough space for a queen bed, large desk, and digital piano (not necessary though!). WHEN AND HOW LONG I'M LOOKING TO MOVE: My current lease expires on December 15th 2017, so I would be looking to move between December 1-13th 2017. I'm interested in a 12 month lease, but am happy to negotiate :) WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room, but can also offer an iron and ironing board, large chest freezer, and some things for the kitchen. My ideal housemate/s would be friendly, sociable (but also understanding of personal space), tidy, and of either gender. I believe it's important to have a coffee/beer/dinner every now and then so we wouldn't be complete strangers to each other, but I completely understand if you want your space. If you'd like to chat or meet up over coffee, let me know. I'm also happy to provide references.
I'm a fourth year student at ANU originally from Melbournebut here to study. I work part time as a swim instructor. I am fun and easygoing and enjoy sharing a meal or watching TV but also understand the need for space. Dependable I will do my share of the work. I also love animals so have no issue there :)
I'm originally from Melbourne but have lived in Canberra for a couple years. Currently studying Actuarial Studies at ANU and working as a financial analyst. I'm super chill and very easy going. I'm a very social guy who loves playing sport and spending time outdoors. Will be happy to hangout with housemates from time to time and share a meal or have a drink. Also understand and value the importance of giving everyone their own personal space. I clean up after myself and will pull my fair share of the household chores.
I am a master's student soon-to-be at the Australian National University, commencing in January 2018. Born and raised in Indonesia, I consider myself a tidy and friendly person. I enjoy nature, sports and books for my free time.
I have taken up a fantastic opportunity managing growing luxury retail store in Canberra Centre. I am well spoken, polite, educated & importantly very easy to get along with, my friends would say I'm the perfect ice breaker. In saying that. I enjoy my privacy and mutually respect yours. A peaceful preferably furnished bedroom with ensuite, clean and tidy.. a place to call home, free from any anxiety or unexpected surprises is what i am after As much as i enjoy a wine on the occasion i am not here to be clubbing, pulling all nighters, or bringing random unknown strangers home around the clock.. In saying that, your life is your business and so long as i can get my sleep we will get along just fine. I am not loud, arrogant and think it's extremely important for you to meet me and make that judgement for yourself. Being able to connect with people of all ages is something i seem to do naturally and without judging based by a number. Be genuine, honest, reliable and have a sense of humour at the best of times! i am very much straight forward and open to any questions you may have to ask or want to know, so please don't hesitate. I have worked in retail and specifically luxury cosmetic retail, with a diploma in beauty therapy, also qualified as a Allied health professional. This will be my first time living away from Melbourne initially i was seeking to take up accommodation by myself, however after much thought; it would be nice to know i am not completely alone, in saying that its just knowing that there is someone else under the same roof every now and again. Some important things to be noted, no one likes hidden surprises, i do smoke cigarettes however i have always smoked outside and am very conscious/respectful as to where i do so and how i dispose of butts, (living with a non smoker currently) In my line of work it is something i am constantly mindful of and assure you wont be bothered by. Jordan.
Hi - I am an easygoing guy who spends the majority of my time at work or cricket on the weekends. I generally do enjoy a good chat or vino with my housemates, but am at the same time respectful of others’ space. I am clean, can cook and always keep shared spaces tidy! :) On the negative - I do smoke (outside, of course!). My partner stays from time to time as she is from interstate, however this would be once a fortnight at a maximum. Look forward to meeting you! :)
$250 including all bills is my budget. Would prefer an ensuite and garage/carport. Iam friendly & easygoing. Clean and tidy. Happy to hang out with flatmates when free or not. Independent. Can pay bills on time. Mature. I am not looking for a party house as I study. Somewhere that can feel like home woukd be awesome. I love dogs and woukd love to live with one. Callanytime. 😊
I am a 31yo male Engineer on the Canberra Light Rail. I try to stay fit and exercise (or just not get too fat) , but I do enjoy eating like a king on the weekends. a bit about me, I enjoy going to the gym, salsa dancing, my beloved Nissan weekend car, and hopefully get into some pilates for my ridiculously poor flexibility! On the weekends i dont mind a few frothies and a good burger with some banter. i enjoy going out and having a laugh , and i equally dont mind weekends chilling at home on the couch with a movie. As for house arrangements - I am very easy going and tidy, clean up after myself and easy to get along with. Im flexible with whoever I live with. Its not my first time doing the house share, so I know that everyone is different and theres always a solution so that everyone is happy. Wouldn't mind someone whos down for a few drinks or sharing a meal and some banter on the weekends! Cheers! Claudio
Very quiet, easy going, mature professional moving to Canberra for job. Enjoy cycling and other exercising, computers and travel. Works in IT sector. Looking for places within 20kms of 'CBD' with a private bedroom + bathroom and off street parking.
Hi, My name is Nicollette, I am an easy going 21-year-old female who will be working full time as a registered nurse and looking for a place to stay (All female) for roughly one year. I am clean and tidy but not overly pedantic. I’m always up for a chat, dinner or drinks, not a big party person either and respectful of others personal space. I will also be bringing a small budgie-sized bird with me who won’t be any trouble :) I am looking to move in early February so please send me a message if interested.
I'm currently studying at CIT and working fulltime in the city. I'm looking for somewhere close to school and work. I keep myself pretty busy with school work and gym. I'm very neat and love to cook.
Hi there! I've been in Canberra for just under a year now and I'm looking for a new place to live. I'm social, but like to have a bit of me time also. I'm always happy to share a bottle of wine and am always up for a chat and small Canberra adventures. I'm originally from Sydney so I am still back and forth a little. I love pets (especially dogs) but don't discriminate between any animals, as long as they like a good cuddle. I'm clean, I'm nice and am always up for some good banter.
I'm a full-time postgrad student at UC and work part-time in the city. My studies demand a lot of reading so I enjoy my privacy, although occasional chats with housemates are perfectly fine. I also enjoy cooking so a clean environment to do so is important to me. My pet peeves are really just noise and uncleanliness. Other than that, I'm pretty laid-back. Most weekdays my head is buried in books and on weekends I like to watch football (soccer) with the boys over some drinks, nothing hectic.
Hi There! I am 22 currently studying at UC (second year) and working at an After School Care :) Price can be a bit negotiable and I am looking to stay for at least 6 months moving in around January. I am just a girl who loves Goodberries, chicken nuggets and Netflix. I am a fun easy going person who cleans up after myself and am keen to move in with some cool people and make some new friends! I am super chill, full of banter and pretty much get along with everyone :) I also enjoy binge watching tv shows on Netflix (who doesn't) and love watching trash tv. If I sound like someone you want to live with hit me up! Thanks! Chels :)
