I'm from Denmark, currently taking a year off between school and uni (I'm going to study electronic engineering and robotics) to work and have fun, I've lived in Newcastle before so I speak fluent English and know (somewhat) my way around town :) I love going to the beach, hanging out (with or without a drink) and cooking, looking to find/start a flat share with people keen to make friends!
Hey! We are both currently studying to become teachers and both work part time/casual. We are into anything outdoors, beach, walks/adventures but are also happy to lounge around the house on the odd lazy/rainy day and play some board games or settle in for some A+ Netflix show with some drinks and snacks. Neat and tidy and respect others privacy as we do enjoy ours. We are keen to find someone/a couple to find a space with so send me a message if this sounds like it suits what you are after :).
Hey there! I'm a 23 year old environmental science student looking for a quiet place to live for my final year of study. I've lived out of home (and in Newcastle) for 4 years and I'm house trained, clean and social. I am independent, respectful of others and maintain a busy schedule during the week. On the weekends I like to go out with friends to explore Newcastle's beaches and would love to be able to do this with housemates too. Ideally I would like to be living with no more than 2 others, as I've done the large share houses in the past and they're just not for me. I love to cook and garden (I do come with a few houseplants but they can definitely just be kept in my room) and during the week I'm kept busy with casual work and full time study. I'm also very open to setting up a new sharehouse as I've had my eye on the rental market for a little while and have access to household furniture if necessary, otherwise I can just bring along my bedroom furniture. Looking forward to hearing from you
Hey! Im a young dude looking to move back into my beloved newy after 1.5 years traveling. Im an easy going casual school teacher with an interest in music, cooking, bike riding and everything newcastle! Im an outgoing people person but also enjoy my alone time. I dont mind a bit of a party but as im getting older the hangovers are becoming more of a challenge so i try keep intoxication fo a minimum😁
We have a room available in Hamilton South for 185pw (plus bills which we split equally). It's a three-bedroom house which has been fully renovated with gas cooking and dishwasher. The room that's available is big - 4.3 x 3.8, with a walk-in wardrobe and you'd only be sharing the main bathroom with one other. We're in a great location close to town and beaches, and although the house is situated on a main road we have access to a side street through a back entry so parking is never an issue.
Hey I am looking for a place because my landlord is planning to sell my current place. I am an Engineer working in Beresfield looking for a place in near the beach. I am easy going and I like to play sport and hang out with friends in my free time. I often get up quite early to go to the gym before work, so I am not interested in being in a party house. I like to relax on the weekends generally involving something like BBQ and drinks. I like to try and keep things tidy and clean. Looking for a place with young professionals that are also easy going.
I am pretty quiet although friendly too. I work full time in the community services sector and like yoga, singing and walking in this lovely city, particularly in parks and by the water. I will have my (lovely) 17yo daughter with me and we are happy to share a room. We are looking for somewhere to stay while we find a house to buy. I will pay all rent on time and we will be tidy and respectful to others in the home.
Hey I am super easy going and don’t let things that other people do bother me too much. I am a neat and tidy person who won’t leave a mess too long before I clean it up. I’m an artist and also learning dressmaking so have a fairly creative personality. Animals are my favourite thing and I would love to find a pet friendly place for the future but it’s not a deal breaker :^)
I'm moving to Newcastle from Melbourne for work (lawyer) and I now need a place to live! As I'm new to Newcastle I'm looking for sharehouse with a good location and some fun/sociable room-mates. Outside of work I try and stay active , (gym, skiing, bike riding). Otherwise, I don't mind the occasional beer/wine, I'm easy going, tidy and I'm an okay cook. If you think we'd be a good fit send me a message
The house is located between Market Town and the Junction Fair, making Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets easy to walk to. About a 5 minute walk to Darby Street and 10 minutes to Bar Beach. Parkway Avenue has lots of on street parking available off peak and there is enough room for two cars in the driveway when parking is hard. The bedroom is the biggest in the house, has high ceilings and good light. The house is furnished but the bedroom is not. There is room for some furniture in the shared spaces. Both ladies have their own fridge, and there is room in one of them for your food. The house has 1 main bathroom (with a bath) and a second, separate toilet. The kitchen, living and dining is open plan, with access onto the rear verandah and yard. Bills: wifi is $24 each per month, elec/gas/water is approx $40-50 each, per bill. This is a non-smoking, no pets property.
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration next year at UON.. and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Looking to move between early to mid January (when the lease is up here). Thanks to a greedy tax man.. (somehow ended up OWING money this year 🤔) ..I'm not in a position to provide much bond/rent in advance at this stage.. 0-2 weeks bond is all I can commit to for now. Looking for a large room - I have a drawing table+computer desk I'll need to fit in there, I’ll probably downsize to a double bed so I can squeeze more into a room. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. veggie patch (or potential for one) and a nice yard space would be awesome. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
Moved to Newy sometime during the first week of August from my costal hometown, Yamba and looking to start uni next year. I'd consider myself a caring person who absolutely loves making new friends. As much as I love time to myself and respect that others will too, I'll never be one to turn down a moment to procrastinate in any way or form. I'm a lover of the ocean, red wine, dogs, Netflix, photography, travel, clothes and all things good. Social wise- I do like to go out occasionally, but drinks out the back will always take the cake. Cheese platters are very good too. Would love to live with others that are fun, caring and honest about things... Feel free to suggest for coffee and a chat if you're interested as I'd love to hear from you.
The house is located in a great spot, only a 5 minute drive from the beach and just off Beaumont street with all its bars and cafes. The house is modern and spacious. The terrace is furnished, however, you will need to bring your own bedroom furniture. The bedroom has a built in wardrobe.
Hey I'm Georgia, an easy-going, friendly uni student! I love the beach and any time outdoors, but also enjoy relaxing at home. I am clean, respectful and appreciate personal space, and am hoping to move in with people who are keen to not just be flatmates but spend time together at home. I love a good market, op-shop trip or hike, and am very keen to have a veggie garden! I work part time and like getting involved in the community, and am very reliable with bills. I am happy to live with pets too. I enjoy a bit of banter and would love to live with other friendly, like-minded people who enjoy nature, good food and occasional drinks. I look forward to hearing from you!
My partner and I are looking to move closer to the beaches and town. He has just finished his engineering degree and I am in my last year of my Physiotherapy degree. We are tidy and quiet, pretty relaxed and love the outdoors.
It's a beautiful Federation house with hardwood floors, High Ceilings, large rooms, plenty of space, enclosed yard, room for an office/studio and a large shed for storage/studio. The location is central to Bar Beach, town, Beaumont Street, Market Town, Callaghan Campus, Newspace with easy access to any direction in Newcastle. Not a party house.
Our family home is close to Bar Beach, The Junction shops, buses and Newcastle Interchange. Your bedroom is 3x2.5 metres and if you would like it furnished we can supply a queen bed and desk. lovely built in robes come with the room. We are two adults and a fourteen year old girl. The house is large so there is plenty of space. You are welcome to use the second lounge room to relax. We welcome your enquiries to chat about your requrements. Especially welcome first year uni students new out of home, music students, young women from rural and remote NSW. Food: I cook dinner for all (sometimes hot breakfast) but you are welcome to prepare your own breakfast and lunch. We have had boarders before and it is just a lot easier if I cook dinner for all. You must be prepared to live within a family setting - this is not a party house. You are welcome you bring friends back during the day briefly but not for long stays.
Hi guys, my name's Daniel and I'm heading to Newcastle for approximately 6 weeks give or take a week for a training course with work. I'm a pilot and am a really practical and down to Earth kind of guy. I won't be bringibg any kids or pets and will gladly help out around the place. Looking at the above suburbs as they are pretty close to the direct bus line to the airport and not far from town, but as I've only been to Newcastle once before I'm open to suggestions. So if you happen to have a room with a bed and dont mind ths shortness of the stay please feel free to contact me. Cheers! Dan
I am moving to Newcastle for work and am looking for some easy going and friendly housemates to move in with. I am tidy and respectful and have lived in shared accommodation for the last four years. I will be working full time so will not be home much throughout the week but will be keen to have a chat and the occasional drink and meal with others.
Hi guys My name is Caroline, I'm in my late twenties and I come originally from Switzerland. I'm employed at Uni, where I'm also doing a PhD. I've been living and working in Newcastle for a year now and I'll be staying at least for another few years. So preferably I'm looking for a long-term place to stay. I like to have time to myself and enjoy some quiet nights, but at the same time I'm also very social and like to hang out with others, chat, have dinner and drinks or go to a sports event (coming from Europe I'm a huge fan of soccer haha). I like to have it clean and tidy and I'm easy to get along with (always up for a good laugh). I have to warn you though I'm not a very good cook. I don't have an animal myself, but I'm definitely animal friendly and open to meet your little companion should you have one. As I don't own a car, it'd be practical to live close to bus stops, train stations or live in walking distance to grocery stores etc. I have made a few friends in Newcastle over the last year, but I'd love to make some more.:) To sum up, I'm looking for a place with a nice and relaxed atmosphere and where everyone gets along. I will do my best to be a good housemate - promise! Just for your information, I'm currently in Switzerland visiting family and friends, so I won't be able to come by for an inspection in person. However, I'm definitely up for a call via FaceTime or Skype to get to know you. I'll be back in Newcastle in early Februray, so should you rent out your room sooner than that I'd be willed to start paying rent already by then. I think that's all for the moment, I can't wait to hear from you.:-) Many thanks and happy greetings from the cold and snowy Switzerland, Caroline
Hi, my name is Kevin, and I am moving to Newcastle for a new full-time job around Jan/Feb. I am looking to rent a place for roughly 8 months, as my job will involve relocation. I am hoping to find a person that loves food just as much as I do. I enjoy going to the beach, playing video games, going to the gym, and cooking food. I am a happy, energetic and responsible individual. I am also willing to team up to find a place to rent.
My name is Dinuk, I am 22 years old and I am from Melbourne, where I've lived my whole life up until now. I am to start my course in physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle as of February 26th. I am someone who is friendly and sociable but also someone who respects personal space and boundaries. I have previously lived in a shared accommodation in Melbourne so i know what it's like living with others in regards to hygiene and cleanliness. I can also be quiet diligent with studying so you may see notice that I might study till late. I very much love to cook, and would be happy to have cook ups or just spend time with others. I also like watching tv shows, reading, and going for walks and spending time with friends. I am also easy going and very approachable. I hope you may take this all into consideration, thanks.

Hello, I'm moving from Adelaide to Newcastle in mid-February to start a new job with the NSW state government, and I'm looking for somewhere to live! I've recently graduated from uni, have lived abroad (Cambodia and Japan); I enjoy hiking, exploring new cafes, and drinking nice beers. Not looking for a party house, but I'd definitely like to hang out sometimes. Don't hesitate to send me a message!
Hi :) I am coming to Newcastle end of December and I'm looking for a room in shared house. From January to April I'll be doing a full-time internship as part of my Applied Physics studies. Currently, I am based in The Netherlands, where I go to university. I like cooking, socializing, and every now and then go into my own bubble to recharge. Dancing is a great part of my life, I really like salsa, zouk and other types of latin dances. I speak 4 languages (English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamento). If you have a room, or think we could be good housemates, let me know :) Other questions are welcome as well! Cheers, Andrew
Bubbly, Explorer, Honest (written by my friends). Short info: Sensible and considerate. Believer of healthy, non-passive aggressive communication. *Laying it out early to facilitate mutual understanding 🙈: I dislike cluttered/dirty shared environment with items often misplaced (e.g., kitchen, living area). I’m sure we all want to live in a liveable home with considerate members. I don’t mind performing occasional acts of service, but unless the relationship greatly makes up for that, I’d honestly be disappointed and upset if I have to repeatedly clean up after someone. Detailed info: I'm a smiley introvert—albeit an energetic one—who grew up in a small island (country) called Singapore. I'm pretty 'flexible' in the sense where I have a huge range of interests. I love cozying up on the couch or a café with a good book; I'm really outdoorsy at the same time— I love taking walks and I do boxing. I spread my time between outdoor activities, fitness, culinary and my bachelor degree (psych; UoN, honours year). I have high empathy level (ps. I know how to read the atmosphere ;)), and I'm absolutely passionate about spreading love, smiles and joy. I love being the tiny ball of concentrated sunshine amongst my friends even though I'm an introvert and that means my battery does go flat sometimes. But it fills up my heart knowing that I've made someone feel more pleasant— even if it's just for a second! It's all worth it. You may have realized by now after reading all that I've typed that I'm an open book 😊 Hit me up if you think that you’d be happy (not just ‘okay’) living with me!
28 year old Kiwi gal looking for a friendly place to make my new home. I work full time at KOFM/Hit106.9. Like to balance my social time and down time - so I'm fun but not in your face about it all the time. I'm clean and respectful 😊
Hi my name is Ash just moved to Newcastle from Adelaide for a job with The Hunter New England Health Service. I’m friendly and don’t take life to seriously. Love to socialise but don’t mind chilling out on weekends also. I’ve lived in heaps of share houses with students, workers, males and females. Quite accustomed to sharing, respecting people’s space and keeping things tidy.
Hey. I'm Abdul, 27 yrs old. Full-time researcher and Higher education student at UON. Graphic designer and Photographer work Online. Volunteer at UON and GiveTeamAu for helping people in need and homeless. I like helping the others and make them happy :D. I am Cooking chef and have a high skill to cook many variety foods, especially Italian plates. I like going to the beach and enjoying my time there with friends. I'm very clean, tidy, and healthy, and hit the gym every day. I am a man who enjoys calm and prefers staying in quiet places. I'm following a diet plan, but in my off day, I enjoy my cooking skill with amazing plates. I love drinking coffee Latte' so I bring my coffee machine with me every time and everywhere. I can supply full furniture for whole house including appliances if needed. Ready to move in the middle of February 2018.
Hi, I’m Alicia. I have lots of different hobbies. I like to bake and can make macaroons. I have a sewing machine so I can repair your clothes but it does need it’s own space. I’m very active I play team sports mainly AFL at the moment but I can also play soccer, basketball and netball. I also try to get to the gym everyday of the week but when I’m at home I like to chill in front of the TV. I mainly watch ABC and SBS and have never watched an episode of the Bachelor. I like live comedy and music. I have been living by myself for the past year so I may not be as neat as most people. I’m happy to share household chores but not spending every weekend cleaning. I have my own furniture including a fridge so I am not looking for a place in an already furnished house.
Hello, I'm 19 years old moving to Newcastle to study Business/Commerce at University. I'm friendly and social and enjoy hanging out with friends, being active and going to the beach. I'm a clean and tidy person that respects other people's items and space. Looking to share a house with friendly like minded people.
So unfortunately my landlord has decided to sell (living on Darby street and love it). So a little about myself. I'm accountant working full time for a firm in the CBD. Will be finishing my CA this year (two semesters). Before this I spent the last two years travelling Europe. And will be off again this year for four weeks to the Russia World Cup. If you enjoy travelling and/or the NRL we will most likely get along. Into my league and having a beer come Friday. Definitely not after a party house, but enjoy hanging out with the people I live with. I also have a bit of furniture from prior to going overseas - BBQ, TV, TV cabinet, lounges, outdoor setting, table and chairs, fridge, washing machine, mower, Xbox, Nintendo 64 etc. I also have a small dog currently with the parents, that I would ideally like to bring with me if it works out. Hope to hear from you soon!!
Hi I’m Tiksha, I’m 25 years old working at an architecture firm in town. I’m originally from the Central Coast and I’ve been living in a share house in for the past few years, looking to move right into town. I’m laidback, tidy and a social person and try to make the most of my weekends being out and about.
Hey, I'm Em. I'm social but I also enjoy my own company and respect other people's privacy. I'm very tidy and clean. I'm also a animal lover I have no issue with any. Little bit about me, I’m 36, professional, hard working and a traveller at heart. I'm originally from Queensland, but have spent the last three years in Sydney. In my downtime I enjoy hiking, exploring new places, travelling, binge watching a good TV series, volunteering at my local animal shelter and being active. But I also enjoy a few wines after a long week of work. I do spend time away mostly on the weekends either in Sydney, Brisbane or house/pet sitting around the place etc ** For room/house, I'm looking for short term from mid January 2018 for till possibly mid May 2018. The room to be furnished, parking available (either on or off street) $200 includes bill. Most of all, it feels like home :)
Heyy I'am currently studying at University of Newcastle and I'm in my final of Civil/Engineering degree. I am looking for a place to call home for roughly six months as I've got one semester of studies left. If I end up with a full time job in Newcastle then I'd stay for longer. Looking to move in around 20th Feb but would be more than happy to lock in earlier and pay deposit. I am looking for a fun, welcoming and a vibrant place to live, to hang out, chill and enjoy. I love going to the beach, adventures, gym, going out, having drinks and sometimes do some quiet studying. I' am a organised and tidy individual and would love a clean environment. Happy to always work as a team to keep the living place clean. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you think your place is fit for me :D I also have another friend looking so if you have two rooms available that would be a bonus.
Hi, I work at the University which keeps me pretty busy during the week. Outside of work I like to keep a pretty balanced lifestyle. Looking for an initial 6 months, but will likely be around for 12 or more. Also would be happy to team up to rent a place. I am well house trained, love to cook and chill out. If I sound like someone you could live with, lets meet up. Cheers, Joel
